  1. I have one, and it definitely makes it easier. There is enough room in the pocket, for a few accessories (cables, etc) as well.
  2. It does not appear so. The Stage 5 outputs provide 9V 100mA DC each. Two of them provide 1300 mA. HD500 requires 9V 3000mA DC
  3. Sorry, no. But even if they did, from what I've read about these pickups, you would need to split the signal via an AB/Y cable. G55 is mono.
  4. One thing worth noting. The UX-1 interface and stand-alone POD Farm program should work OK, but if you want to use the POD Farm plug-in with PT 11, then no-can-do. The PF plug-ins are not AAX compatible.
  5. Nope. Sometimes, with any manufacturer, a defective product gets through. That's what warranties are for. Over the course of time however, parts can wear out or develop problems. This can happen with just about any product. In the original poster's case, because he purchased it used, there's no way of knowing whether the problem existed off the assembly line, or whether it developed later. In my opinion, Line 6 should not be responsible for a product that is now clearly out of warranty. It sucks to have bought defective used equipment, but Line 6 cannot be responsible for a piece of gear forever.
  6. If you've had it for 4 years, then you've probably gotten your $150 worth. Perhaps it's time for a new one. :) One more thing. Have you checked the mixer panel in POD Farm to make sure you don't have the mute button on?
  7. They are TRS (the plug looks like stereo, but it's not). There is no advantage to using TRS cables though unless the receiving end is also TRS, AND your cable runs are long. You're probably fine with TS (mono) cables. I use standard TS cables with my UX2 with good results. TRS is pretty much the 1/4" equivalent of XLR. It has noise reduction properties, which normally aren't apparent over short runs.
  8. Are you getting anything through headphones? Is the "Tone Direct" knob turned up? If it's still under warranty, by all means get it repaired, if not, the repairs will probably cost as much, if not more, than a new unit.
  9. Yep. I run my line outs through a mixer to powered studio monitors. Sounds great! Enjoy.
  10. You're not going to like this, the "ESN 000000" is the clue. This is from an old post from a very knowledgeable Line 6 employee . . . "Hello, It's possible that you have a secure memory chip issue with your POD. What is the ESN displaying on the POD itself? You can check the ESN by going into Tuner Mode and scrolling down to the very last page. If your ESN displays something like "000000" then you need to have your POD repaired by a service center. . . . Line6Miller"
  11. No. You do not use it as a plug in. Use it as an ASIO device.
  12. Sends 3 & 4 are indeed the dry signal. I like to record 1 & 2 on one track, and 3 & 4 on another. That way if it turns out that 1 & 2 sound perfect, I don't have to tweak 3 & 4 to get the same results. Charlie
  13. Go into POD Farm and make sure that the input is set to MIC
  14. Have you looked in the POD X3 Model Gallery manual? It's based on the Roland Dimension D stereo chorus.
  15. Have you turned up the volume on the PHONES and OUTPUT controls that are physically on the UX2?
  16. A second belt pack should work. If I recall correctly it takes 3-4 seconds to shut one off, turn the other on, and have the signal lock.
  17. You can run your UX-1 on as many computers as you like. BTW, if you click on the "Help" section of POD Farm, you'll find the manual. There are some good tips for setup and recording in there ;)
  18. Consider the POD Farm Plug-In as a post processing effect. It should not be used during recording, but use it on playback. As fflbrgst mentioned, try recording the guitar signal dry, and then adding the PF 2.5 plug-in afterwards. Try this; record with PF 2.5 stand-alone open. In Cubase or Reaper, are two stereo tracks. Use one of the tracks for sends 1 & 2, Use the other track for sends 3 & 4. Sends 3 & 4 will be dry. After recording, add the PF 2.5 plug-in to the track that has sends 3 & 4. The track with sends 1 & 2 will be your reference track, and can be later used or deleted as you see fit.
  19. Have you tried a different USB cable? If that doesn't work, how about a different USB port? Last resort, how about trying the UX2 on a different PC? Have you installed the latest version of Line 6 Monkey? http://line6.com/software When you run Monkey, are all the check marks green?
  20. In Gearbox: Source Select: Inst & Mic 1 Look to the left of the yellow "Tone" selector near the top of the GUI. You'll see two buttons, one for guitar, and the other for Mic. Push the Mic button and make sure the volume is up high enough, also make sure that the "MUTE" button isn't on.
  21. You cannot use model packs with the iLok version. You can use them with the PC version though.
  22. Currently Line 6 does not support AAX, but hopefully they will in the future.
  23. Unfortunately, you cannot use model packs with the iLok version. If you purchase the PC version you will be able to use the model packs though.
  24. You also might want to download POD Farm 1.12 at http://line6.com/software It replaced Gearbox for the UX2.
