  1. JBL/M-Audio*iLab+(SquareRoot(Mackie)) = 87.3% But I was never good at Math. I can't count the number of times that Math has alluded me.
  2. You told him not to touch anything. Well he has to touch his computer to post here... I guess he took you too literally.
  3. Here's a patch that will show you a way to get a stereo effect with a heavy tone. It's made for the PODHD Desktop. I think if you rename it to .hb5 it will work on the HD500. Or you can download the Editor for the PODHD Desktop and view it there. Basically you use a Stereo Digital Delay on one channel and set it to 20ms and turn it to full wet tone, no original dry signal on that channel. There are other ways to get a stereo effect but this is the one I prefer. http://www.childrenofthegraveband.com/BlackSabbath.hbe
  4. Here's link to a video that will show you how to do a factory reset. As far as being in Indonesia and needing help... Well I'm in the U.S. and need help too. We elected another idiot for president.
  5. Yep but when the forum got updated it blew away my signature. I haven't seen where to put it back yet. Haven't looked that hard either.
  6. The main band I'm in is called Children Of The Grave, which is a Black Sabbath Tribute band. I also play in a typical classic rock band on the side. www.ChildrenOfTheGraveBand.com https://www.facebook.com/ChildrenOfTheGraveBand/
  7. I can't take all the credit. A lot of people posted a ton of great suggestions on here and there was more than a couple times I wanted to give up and buy something else. The tone is there you just have to find it. Same thing for other amps and modelers. But it's nice to know an outdated piece of gear is still keeping up with current expensive gear.

    Comparison

Did a gig last night opening for Saliva, along with a couple other bands. There was everything from modded Marshalls, Fryette, Kemper, and me with my PODHD into a pair of JCM900 power amps in stereo. The stereo effect was mic'd through the P.A. system panned hard left and right. Even the guy running sound told me that my guitar tone sounded the best and cut through the mix better than any of the other bands. I paid particular attention to the Kemper when they played. It sounded nice but didn't seem to have any dynamics - very solid state flat sounding. The other real amps sounded nice but got buried in the mix somewhat. I'm sure a lot of this is EQ but I thought it was funny that the PODHD cut right through and got lots of compliments. Even the owner of the venue came up to me and said how nice it sounded and wanted us back to headline. We always hear about issues on this board, which is what it's for. I thought it would be nice to post something about a positive experience and say "Thank You" to Line6 and everyone here that has helped me over the years.
  9. Try running the installation using the Run As Administrator option in Windows - do this by right clicking on what you want to run and select Run As Administrator. Or you can login with Full Administrator capabilities and try it.
  10. BSOD are caused by drivers since they have direct access to hardware. ASIO4ALL is not required and is probably causing the issue. The problem now is making sure you get it removed completely and make sure you do a Cold Start. Meaning do a Shutdown until everything is completely off then start the computer. Logging out or even a restart on a laptop may not be enough. Memory issues could be causing it but isn't nearly as likely as some remnant of the wrong driver still being loaded.
  11. Damn what a jerk. Like Line6 is the only company to EVER have the slightest little thing go wrong. I think they'll be glad you're not a customer anymore and you can give Fractal lollipop for every little thing that doesn't go your way. Grow the lollipop up.
  12. Sometimes it's better, sometimes it's not. But it's always worth a shot when using a guitar amp.
  13. I also suggest trying the Pre versions of the amp models since you already are using a real power amp.
  14. You can't add memory cards to the PODHD. You can't add more CPU either. You have what you have. If you run out of DSP then you need to change something in your patch or take something out. Or buy a Helix.
  15. I also had this problem once before. Power supply went bad. When I checked the voltage out of the power supply I was surprised it came on at all.
  16. If I remember right the Vetta 1 has an FX loop. Try using the PODHD direct into the FX return and set it to Studio Direct.
  17. Also try the Pre versions of the amp models since you have an amp/cab already. That's what I did with my Marshall and 2x12 cab.
  18. Use the Pre version of the modeled amp and don't use any cab sim. Studio Direct out of course, then EQ to taste. That's how I have mine setup with the PODHD into the FX return of a JCM900 into a Marshall 1936 cab. It takes some knob tweaking on the tone controls but so does a real amp.
  19. Set Input 1 to guitar and Input 2 to Variax. Set output to Studio Direct. Get it as close as you can then place an EQ in the patch and fine tune it from there. At first it will take a lot of time and patience to get it sounding the way you want. Once you learn what your guitar, amp, PODHD, and your ears want it'll get easier.
  20. Hey dumbass, this is NOT Line6 Tech Support. This is customers helping each other. We are customers too. Stop taking out your frustrations on us and just go the lollipop away. You're obviously too stupid to be helped.
  21. I've done home recording with various hardware and OS'es for decades. There will always be something that crashes at some point. Saying Line6 is sub-par and everything else works fine is naive at best. I know it can be frustrating and eventually you'll see it happen with another piece of hardware, driver, or software. No need to take your frustrations out on us. This is a user forum not an official Line6 Tech support forum. We're customers too and will try our best to help other people.
  22. Dumb question but, have you rebooted the computer ? Not a restart but a shutdown and startup.
  23. You get rid of the guitar cab and use a FRFR system like a powered P.A. cab. Does the HD400 support dual amp patches like the HD500 ? Then you could have one amp without a cab panned hard left and another amp panned hard right with a cab that each go to the respective outputs. If it can't do that then you should have spent the extra hundred bucks for the HD500.
  24. Just want to make sure I understand what you're saying. You guitar sounds fine going through the P.A. until the other guitar starts playing through the P.A. ?
