  1. Check the voltage of the power supply. If that doesn't work then do a reset. I've had my PODHD for almost 5 years, it's very reliable. It sounds a lot better than Boss and Zoom.
  2. What sounds good in the headphones will sound completely different when running through your head/cab. Play an MP3 through headphones then through your head/cab and it will sound completely different. Pick a method for using the PODHD and build your tone using that method.
  3. Just save them again. They should still be on your PODHD.
  4. Anything above $500 is a dead end for me. I like L6 gear but for over $500 I can also buy a Marshall DSL40 combo that sounds great too. Plus plenty of other amps in that price range that I just plug into and sound they sound great. Yeah I know, why bring an amp to a gig when I can just plug in the POD or Helix to the PA. A small combo amp isn't hard to roll in either. My next response is why spend more money on something that simulates an amp ? Don't get me wrong. I like L6 gear but amp prices are coming down and they're sounding better.
  5. Glad you have it working. Give cruisinon2 the credit for the solution so other people will know what fixed the problem.
  6. Hey Trevp, pianoguyy is a lollipop sometimes but he knows a lot about the PODHD and is really helpful. I don't think he realizes how he comes across sometimes. Kind'a like Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory. It would help if you gave us the GEQ settings you are applying. Need to know all of them in detail. Frequencies, Q, Gain, etc. These are the most important items. Also some details about your preset. Are you going into the front of the amp ?. What is the amp/cab ?
  7. I recently went through this. What helped me the most was I borrowed an amp that had the tone I wanted. Then with the help of people on here and others, I dialed the PODHD to sound like that real amp. It makes it a LOT easier when you have the real amp right there to compare to. Sometimes over the years you over tweak your tone too. It may sound like crap now compared to what it did 6 months or a year ago. Hopefully you saved earlier versions of your tone and can go back and compare them. Other choice are: Buy the Helix or Helix LT - they're a nice step up from the PODHD Buy a real amp and hope you don't get bored with that cause you won't be able to change it.
  8. Most of us bought the PODHD to get away from pedals and cables. The 4cm method isn't as bad as the dozen or so cables your pedals are going to use. Some of your pedals need to be in front of the amp and some in the FX loop - plus they need to be cabled together. But whatever works for you is all that counts.
  9. Awesome. I laughed so hard at this I spewed soda all over my monitor.
  10. An off switch would have meant an enormous increase in price. $501 USD instead of $499.
  11. I know it works because I do it. My DAW uses my TASCAM US-1800 for the audio and I have the PODHD plugged into the USB port for editing. I made the US-1800 the default device.
  12. I have one that's works perfect. How much are you buying the other one for ?
  13. Wrong forum. I think you want to post here http://line6.com/support/forum/30-pod-farm-pod-studio-toneport/
  14. This is an old thread but one of the funniest to still read.
  15. Hey I understand. It's tempting. Especially if you don't need a bunch of different tones. I've heard some incredible combos, even micro combos, that sound really nice. Orange Micro Dark Terror and a 1x12 cab is amazing. Almost hilarious because it's so small. But in the end I got the PODHD sounding how I wanted. As you'll see in the video above. Hard to tell the difference and the stereo effect is cool.
  16. My Marshall amp also has a Master Volume and PreAmp Volume too.
  17. Basically you have to start over and learn how to create tones with the PODHD. What you have in the XT Live probably won't sound the same even when using the same amp models. There's lots of people here that will help you through the process of learning the PODHD. It may be a little frustrating at first, I know it was for me. But it worked out eventually. Also take a look at the Helix LT. It's more money but sounds better and easier to use.
  18. No, absolutely can't do this. Basically you're starting over creating patches plus the learning curve with the PODHD and how to build tones. I'd also recommend looking at the Helix LT. It costs more but sounds better and easier to work with.
  19. My Marshall amp has a volume control. If you turn it counter-clockwise it gets quieter until you can't even hear it.
  20. Damn you guys have no sense of humor. I thought someone would find my analogy funny. Lighten up a little. btw - tooling costs have gotten cheaper too. I'm just not buying it - literally.
  21. Why do computers get cheaper but modelers get more expensive ? Amplifiers are getting less expensive. The Helix and a real amp are a wash to me as far as price. Given the choice I'll go for the real thing. Kind'a like having sex with a real woman or a blow up doll. Yeah they both get the job done and one is easier to carry around even though people make fun of you for not having the real thing. Hmmmm, modelers are exactly like this.
  22. Most people don't keep their phone for 7 years and it usually costs more than the PODHD.
