  1. now that i think about it... is this the update that implemented variable input z? you may just have to change the input z from auto to 1m to get back to the old default.
  2. they do not give out schematics etc... unless you become an authorized service center... http://line6.com/company/contact/ no idea about requirements for such... but i'd start with that link.
  3. it doesn't have ANY of those models... it has completely new models. but yes you are correct it does not have updated models of all the amps in the older pods. some people miss the odd favorite here and there... but the new models are pretty versatile and cover alot of the same ground....
  4. somewhat... but the pre-amps are the same in the DT as they are in the pods. and you can of course change what preamps are in those 4 topologies. i think what you are missing is that the pre-amps are always emulated... the benefit to the DT amps is a real power amp... not a real pre-amp.
  5. custom tone is always a starting point only... someone could have made a tone on some very dark sounding speakers and uploaded it... and on a brighter setup it will sound harsh. in any case... my guess would be that flashing the update probably changed an output mode that was disagreeing with you and updating to 2.1 should be safe... why not back up your tones and give it a try.
  6. you'll probably need to contact line6 directly about authorization issues: http://line6.com/company/contact/
  7. such a device does not exist, and it is entirely incorrect to say that about DT/HD integration.
  8. one of the internal tubes in the DT50 is used for boost... and there is a solid state equivalent in the DT25 they are related to the internal workings of the power amp... and NOT a boost for performing. (never even tried to see if it would be useful as such) the only way it can be accessed is through midi, and its a good parameter when setting up your topologies when using the DT 2.0 update... I think you read too much into the "boost" option you read about.
  9. you might try just putting the stereo keyboard into the fx loop return. that way you take out some internal pathways in the device. just something to try... i've used it for recording the vdrums stereo out this way.
  10. should work fine... and pod farm 1.12 is a free upgrade... just get the latest version of monkey and you should be ok.
  11. I do know there are such devices, i've seen them posted for other issues... i'm not familiar enough to be able to link you up but someone will he able to help out.
  12. also best to remove all java and let the line6 software install the version it wants... newer versions of java will break older software.
  13. it uses the amp default, cab simulation, so the cab model changes with the voicing. I do not recall what those default cabs are... but if you've updated the DT amp to 2.0 and use some of the midi tools you can probably figure it out definitively.
  14. you can force monkey to "reinstall latest" which will flash the guitar again, perhaps the flash was not completed correctly.
  15. you should be able to leave the amp in standby when doing this and just switch the power on. try keeping them pinched longer, as i said i can't remember exact details, but some version of this worked for me.
  16. one common mistake when trying to get the hd preamps to sound the same is that they select no cab... the DT50 does use cab emulation... and the cab should be selected in the pod.
  17. awesome! you may have just sold all that guys inventory! :)
  18. turn amp off, pinch topology and pentode switches together.... pedtode up, topo down, power on... HOLD the lights should all flicker and the amp should be back at defaults... then re-flash. i've only done this a couple of times myself but it worked... i can't guarantee you the same success... but it's something to try.
  19. the information i presented IS accurate. the x3 WILL become your soundcard... just because you have the option to change it does not make that statement any less than accurate. and you STILL have to use the same ASIO card for input and output within your software... so why would most people care about the fact that you can redirect your windows sounds elsewhere.... they wouldn't.... (most people) for those that do care... you've now let them know... again mission accomplished. now quit beating the dead horse.
  20. i'm with you... with one exception... when under warranty i always send direct to line6 for repair... bypass the service centers... there are good ones and bad ones... but none with the exclusive focus on line6 gear except direct. so after 30 days... i'd pay shipping etc to send it to L6 before 30 days... right back to the store.
  21. My wife's from this area, we just moved this way a year ago.
  22. LOVE amazon prime too! that's one of those competitors that i'll swing to for the right deal.
  23. I'd also heartily endorse sweetwater..... for those things that have the same price anywhere.... i'm still down for a deal from a competitor here and there... but buy from sweetwater if all else is equal!
  24. you can only add the line6 model packs into pod farm (not free) no 3rd party software can be added.
