line6 sonic port vx does not work with ios13
phil_m replied to victor_85's topic in Sonic Port devices / Mobile In
Uh, it’s been working for several months now. Apple finally fixed it on their end with the iOS 13.4 update. -
WiFi seems to be the most common source of interference with the systems. Do you have a wireless router within 10 feet of the receiver?

Native will work with the UX2, but latency might be an issue. The Tone Direct monitoring you get with POD Farm won’t be there with Native, so latency will be dependent on your system. The Helix hardware and Native sound exactly the same given the same input source, so sound quality should be fine. There is no standalone version of Native - it’s a plug-in only.

Your Global Settings have changed. You should do a Restore from Backup as part of the update process. This will get everything back to the way you had it prior to the update.

HX Stomp - IR Loading problem (cant do more than one)
phil_m replied to mattwalkerncl's topic in Helix
You need to update HX Edit to the latest version as well as the firmware. You were using the old editor. That’s why the IRS weren’t showing up. -
MIDI keyboard with HX Stomp trouble
phil_m replied to sito204's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Are you wanting to record MIDI or audio from the keyboard? -
Do a factory reset. Hold down footswitches 2 and 3 while powering up, and that should take care of it.

HD Pod Pro X Not Connecting Device, Drivers Still Not Installed
phil_m replied to lelandbowman3's topic in POD HD
Monkey isn’t compatible with Catalina given that it’s 32-bit. But what are you trying to do? Is your HD running the latest firmware? You don’t need Monkey to download and install the latest drivers and editor. -
Well, the more comparable product line to the Kemper or Axe FX is definitely the Helix stuff. You’re comparing a product that sells for $450 to ones that sell for multiple times more. Line 6 has been continually providing updates for the Helix since it was first released in 2015. The Firehawk was launched sort of a “best of” from the POD Farm and HD series products, both of which were mature product lines when the Firehawk launched. There have been a few usability upgrades for the Firehawk, but not anything in the way of new features. I really never expected there to be.

No, those footswitches don’t light up.
-
Are you talking about the on-board expression pedal or an external pedal?
-
No, this footswitch isn’t compatible with any of the HX or Helix products.

You sort of answered your own question. If you have the Stomp and Collider set to different MIDI channels, you won’t be able to use the automatic PC Send from the Stomp to control the Collider. It really shouldn’t be a dealbreaker, though, as the Morningstar is quite capable. I don’t remember offhand what the maximum number of messages you can send per preset on the Morningstar is, but you can certainly send two different PC messages, each on its own channel.

From Trial Mode to Triple Pack Bundle, possible?
phil_m replied to derryk4real's topic in Line 6 Lounge
You need to have an actual POD Farm 2 license in one way or another to buy the model packs. The trial license would be just that - a free trial. So you either have buy POD Farm 2 or buy a product that comes with a POD Farm 2 license in order to use the model packs. -
The HD500 won’t work as a USB to MIDI interface in this way to update the DT25. It does have some USB to MIDI capabilities, but it doesn’t send Sysex messages, which is what’s needed for the update. You’ll need to use a standalone USB to MIDI adapter. I used the M-Audio Uno, and it worked fine.

Yes, there is an optical sensor that tracks the movement of the pedal.
-
In HX Edit, go to File>Restore from Backup.
-
The toe switch is an actuator underneath the pad. It doesn't look the other switches. If you press down on the pedal with some force, you will feel it click.
-
As things stand now, no. Whether or not that's something that might change in the future, I don't know.
-
What firmware version is your Helix on how, and what version of HX Edit are you using?
-
That's odd. I wonder if it has something to do with user permissions on your computer and where you're trying to save the backup. I'd double check the folder in the "Where:" field in the backup window.
-
That setting only controls the PC messages that are sent out automatically with each preset. It doesn't affect anything you have set up in the Command Center.
-
Well, the is the expected behavior. The HD500X becomes your audio interface when plugged in via USB. If you don't want to use the USB audio capability, you can right click on the little speaker icon in the lower right hand corner of your screen and select "Open Sound Settings". On the screen that pops up, you should see where it says "Output" and then beneath that a menu that says "Choose your output device". You should be able to select your native interface there. It will probably says something like "Speakers (______High Definition Audio)" or something like that.

You're getting phasing/comb filtering because the Send block has a Dry Thru parameter, and by default, it's set to 100. So you have two dry path running in parallel, and the one running through your looper is lagging behind and slightly out of phase with the one running through the Helix. If you set the Dry Thru parameter to 0, that will solve it. Better yet, there's no need to use separate Send and Return blocks. Just use a single FX Loop block. The Mix parameter in the FX Loop block does essentially the same thing as the Dry Thru parameter in the Send block, but it's set to 0 by default.
