  1. Yours is a MkI. MkII will say "Spider Valve MkII 112" on the front there. Two years without a tube change out is too long. 5881WXT Matched pairs,... have to be a matched set. 12AX7B China or 12AX7EH is fine for the pre-amp tubes. The heater element are wearing, so there is leakage current between the filaments, hence the temperature rise. Needs to be put in for servicing at an authorized service center for a full check-out. Don't do self repairs on this. Too dangerous.
  2. No. It will change the bias point. Do not modify it.
  3. 2.0 would be an earlier firmware.
  4. If it's a floor demo, it may be there are some user saved patches in it, and they retailer hasn't re-Flashed it back to factory defaults yet.
  5. Either the contrast setting was accidentally knocked out of setting, or there is a boot problem internally. Are you able to connect to Line 6 Monkey?
  6. Make certain that the retainer nuts under the knobs are snug, not tight, but snug. That is the casing shield for the pots.
  7. The version number may be referring to the Firmware version. Check the Line 6 downloads page for the latest Firmware version.
  8. No, not a self fix, not like doing piezos. Could be one of four things. Should be left to a Line 6 authorized service tech.
  9. Tone and amplitude differences are normal between models. Using the Workbench HD application, one can fine adjust to taste a number of parameters. Lester is of higher amplitude, while Jazzbox and Spank tend to be the thinner sounding ones. That's normal, it's an aspect of the instrument that was modeled.
  10. Sounds like warbling from the pick-up height being a bit off, the set-up may need to be checked. Or dual tone as ADBrown suggests, hearing the standard tuned string off the guitar while, while hearing the Alt Tune through the amp.
  11. 600MHz and 900MHz regions were the old analog cordless phone and analog microphone frequency that aren't used much anymore. These newer systems are digital in nature, and as phil_m mentioned, way outside of the 600Mhz.
  12. Yes, that's all we would have are the correct tubes for our product. The tubes I listed above for the DT series can also be acquired from other tube retailers.
  13. "Sounds like highly proprietary information that would end up in the public domain, warranty and registration notwithstanding"--- Exactly! "Doesn't seem to harm fender. vox, marshall, splawn, engl or any of the other countless companies who's schematics"--- Maybe little or nothing they have that's proprietary. "They should be available to service engineers. It is pretty much the standard - Sony, Toshiba, HP, Acer etc all the same."--- Yes, for Sony, Toshiba, HP, Acer etc,... and all factory authorized service. Eventide Lynx, Crest, JBL, Mackie and a host of others. "It isn't about proprietary information, as anyone who has the resources to make a fake Line6 amp for example wont be held back by schematics only available to engineers."--- Can say that about any proprietary product. And they take the risks that go with it, as does the consumer that buys a knock-off when it fails to function. It is proprietary, your protection as well as ours. One does their job for free, or do they expect a wage? Intellectual Property is valid too. You write a piece of music, you expect your copyrights to be respected, and get paid for your Intellectual Property? Or do yo let people steal from you? When you've had your Intellectual Property stolen from you, and you object, you may get a taste of what I'm talking about.
  14. Check the output select edit page and make certain the output you want is selected. There is a pad lock icon in the lower right of the LCD, make certain it is unlocked when selecting, then lock it when you are done.
  15. So long as you have the correct supply for the region, it should be fine. Looks like the PX-2G 120VAC-60HZ 9VAC-2A. Check with the local Canadian Line 6 dealer in your area for price and availability.
