  1. Has anyone alter the set-up on it (action, intonation, pick-up height and such)?
  2. 1- pull on the volume knob gently, the shaft should come up and the volume drop by almost half, the adjust volume from there. 2- sound like just background noise. The processor board is digital, so it's digital quiet, vacuum tubes aren't.
  3. Needs to be serviced by a Line 6 authorized service center. This is not something you can fix yourself. Make certain your product is register, then log a support ticket.
  4. I guess that my knowing the people in this, I don't bother with the articles, since I'm personally well acquainted with the sources. But it sounds like I need an update. So many companies merging, selling off, getting acquired,... you need a score card to keep track of the score cards. Hmmm,... Reflektor. I see Mathews once a year at the trade shows. But Robert Moran, Dave Pearlman and Aspen Pittman are Facebook friends and local to me, so I have more virtual and face-to-face contact with them more often. I'll pick their brains about this. Thanks.
  5. Sounds like a pitch tracking problem where certain frequency artifacts can occur if you try to tune too low, you skirt the edge of the pitch tracking ability.
  6. I'll have to remind myself to ask Mike Mathews about that hierarchy, next time I see him. I should have a chat with Dave Pearlman (Pearlman Micropnes) and Robert Moran a couple of fellow tube freaks who keep up on this, on a more daily basis than I do. And maybe have a chat with Aspen Pittman (founder of Groove Tubes) while I'm at it. I see them more often than Mathews. Thanks for the feedback.
  7. Models can be alternate tuned, the magnetic pick-ups can't. They are two different signal paths.
  8. "...but we do live in one of the most geologically dangerous places in the world!"--- Yes. Ring of Fire of the Pacific Rim. Hope you're in Auckland or Sydney and not in Christ Church.
  9. "Is there any way I can calibrate my pots?"--- No. It will need to be taken in for servicing. Log a support ticket and the will get things going.
  10. Log a support ticket, needs servicing at an authorized service center who knows the product. Not something you can by re-Flashing the unit.
  11. Do you have an FBV Express MkII plugged into it all?
  12. 15 minutes,... sounds like an internal hardware problem. Not something to do yourself. Log a support ticket, it will need servicing.
  13. I would suspect an intermittent solder point. Line 6 authorized service would be best bet, as opposed to someone going in not knowing what part of the circuit to deal with. Get with Line 6 support to set up an RMA. Be sure your product is registered, then log a support ticket. It might seem easy to do, but it's also easy to mess up. slo-hand's advice is right, " Tinker at your own risk."
  14. Check pedal calibrations in the owner's manual.
  15. EH owns the factory in Russia. I have this chat with Mike Mathews (owner of EH) every year at NAMM in Anaheim, CA. Chat about tubes and the the factory in Russia. I make my rounds of the tube people booths every year as part of my info gathering. Shuguang Electronics Group Co., China sounds familiar, see their name in tube info here and there.
  16. Not even the The Shadow knows. Like I said, what they go with today, might be rejected tomorrow. Won't know what or when until then. Same Bat time, same Bat channel. ;)
  17. Don't know what's coming down the pipeline til they put one on my bench to check over. Couldn't say even if we did know. What they go for today they might reject tomorrow. Have no idea until it's made public. We find out when you find out.
  18. If I recall, eBay has a return policy. The tremolo issue may be why it was on eBay in the first place. A glitch in the tremolo, it was only a few. Thought I dealt with all of them. They should've returned it to us instead of selling it to you.
