Oh yeah, that one. I tried it on a couple of presets, but seems to be more intended for a preset set up for stereo. On one of my mono patches, it sounded what could be described as "boxy". That's because the dry and the 30ms "doubled" parts are being collapsed to mono, not allowing the two time offset signals to bounce around and interact.

I'm confused. Are you referring to one of the factory presets?

Now that's just silly.

This. Go to your volume block, hold down the knob that controls volume, the menu will come up where you can set min and max.

If you are sending XLR to FOH, do you need to control XLR with volume knob? I send my XLR To FOH. I route my 1/4" only volume control to the main volume knob to control external personal monitor if I am using them. That way FOH gets full volume from Helix that they can adjust, and I can adjust my personal monitor with my volume knob.

Gain/OD models I LOVE in Helix: EP Boost Timmy Minotaur OCD TS808 In most of my presets I use a stomp to increase amp gain, but also have one or two gain/OD pedals in front of the amp model.

Well that's bullcrap. Nice to know that you pretty much just hate all your customers. We know Ben Adrian could model one in about 4 days.

Save a template preset with your vocal settings. Use that as a starting point for any other presets you build that you want your vocal setup in. I have saved many different "template" presets that I use as a starting point for various applications.

I've had mine for almost a year with zero issues. I am careful with the micro USB connection though, but still, no issues. I use it for practice at home all the time, practice once a week outside of home, and one "gig" every weekend (2 services every Sunday morning). I love it.

V75 Mic, G30 guitar system, G10 guitar system

Whew, there is a lot of hoping in there. Let us know if it works. Even if it does, you may want to consider if it is repeatable and reliable. Just because it works once doesn't mean it will work all the time. -
What firmware was on the unit before your updated? Did you do a system reset?

TC Electronic Polytune has a polyphonic tuner, just saying... If we are going to speculate, might as well start a crap storm.

A request to Line 6: please make new presets FW 2.30 downloadable
jbuhajla replied to LutherDeLorme's topic in Helix
I think there are a few new factory presets that feature the new amps, but I have not verified that. I think there was another thread about the 2.3 presets that someone did verify them. They may have even attached the files. I can't quite remember. I do agree that for those that want the presets, a zip file with all the factory presets from Line 6 would be welcomed. -
I am not looking for an explanation. It's just another thing on my list that are a "Nice to have" if they decide to change it. Just thought I would chime in with how I "work around" the issue. I still add three digit number at the beginning of my IRs so I can go back and reference the original file name in my folder so I know exactly which IR I chose for a particular preset. Yes, I agree that we shouldn't have to do that, but we do. I just go with it. Pounding my shoe on the table won't help anyway.

Sometimes I use the Global EQ because of the nice visual display in HX Edit. Once I get the EQ parameters nailed down on the global EQ using HX Edit, I disable Global EQ, and drop in an EQ block with the same parameters at the end of the signal chain. I wish the EQ blocks would have the same visual display of the EQ curve.

When you install 2.3 and restore backups, be sure to not restore Factory 1 and Factory 2 presets, then you will have the new 2.3 version. If you leave Factory 1 and Factory 2 chosen to restore, it restores what you previously had backed up from the previous version. -
Like DI says though, the simple pitch block is not polyphonic just so you are aware.

...and you could also name your stomp scribble strips Lucy, Ricky, etc... and change the LED colors. It doesn't make a difference as long as you know what they actually are, but silly to do. A few extra characters would allow the user of IRs to not have to rename entire folders of individual files as they are supplied by the IR companies, and also display the same on the Helix user interface.
-
Yeah, try the procedure, and I wouldn't pull that hard on the pedal. You may permanently damage something. Open a support ticket with Line 6 if the procedure doesn't get you anywhere.
-
Yup. No amount of setup adjustments are going to fix uneven fret issues.
-
I found this out after editing the file names of all my favorite IRs, they were cut even shorter in the Helix menu. The naming convention I chose did not fully display and did not work for what I was trying to accomplish. So now I just note which IR slot it is in then go to my IR folder on my laptop to see which one it actually is.

If your body is isolated from ground, you are going to continue to build up static on your body surface and your guitar as you play. Static will build on your body and areas of your guitar that are not grounded (plastic pick guards). Then the static will discharge to your body when your body is in contact with the grounded parts of your guitar. You will hear audible pops with that discharge that are being sent through your pickup wiring. It is a lot worse when using a wireless system with your guitar. Here are some things you can do to help: 1. If your practice area is carpeted, spray static guard on the carpet in the area that you are standing or sitting. Link for static guard is below. 2. Spray static guard on your clothing before playing. 3. If you have the option (at home or private practice area) remove your shoes and socks. Shoes and socks can act as an insulator allowing static to build up on your body. This is more important when using a wireless system with your guitar, because you don't have a physical ground wire connected to your guitar. You need to make your body connect to ground through your bare feet to help dissipate static. 4. On back of pick guards, use the metallic type tape used for shielding EMI, and make sure the metallic tape is connected to ground on your guitar. This gives the static a route to discharge and not build up. 5. Use an air humidifier in your practice area to help dissipate static issues. https://www.target.com/p/static-guard-antistatic-spray-5-5-oz/-/A-13294243

You can run dry through your amp in mono, and wet in stereo through XLRs through QSCs
