Something like this would work very well if it is a feasible option for you. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-Bluetooth-2-300-Watt-Super-Quiet-Gasoline-Powered-Digital-Inverter-Generator-RYI2300BTA/300347426

If you turn on the gate on the input of one of your presets, do you still have the hiss on your high gain channel?

I use Reaper.

Overdrive/distortion tones not sounding good at all
jbuhajla replied to m6stringtosh's topic in Helix
Me too. I have EXP 1 assigned to turn up amp gain and turn down volume at the same time. Also two ODs in front of amp model. -
Try them everywhere. They will sound a little different. I use them before the amp, between amp/cab, and after the cab. There are no rules on where they "should" go. You can't break anything in the digital realm.

Try downloading and running it again. If you still have issues open a support ticket with Line 6.

Are you trying to install 2.30 or 2.11?

Keep an eye out for used on Guitar Center online. There are a couple of LTs on there for $800 currently.

In global settings > INs Outs you can set XLR outputs as MIC or LINE level. Yours may be set to MIC which is a very low level signal.

I tend to not use reverb live due to the natural reverb of the room. So, I use more reverb when recording since I am playing purely in the digital realm with no real "room".

Could it be the fuzz and auto impedance setting on the guitar input? Some users change the input impedance with the fuzz stomp on/off.

There are a few different options in the global settings. They are all explained on page 52 in the 2.0 manual available by download online, and was provided on the USB drive with the Helix. There are different options in preset mode and stomp mode and the UP/DOWN switches are configurable. 8 presets shown in preset mode is an available option.

I play through the same PA every week. It is a QSC based system with 8", 10" mains and a couple of subs. I started building presets at home using IEMs, and the tones translated fairly well to the PA system, just a little thin because I was taking too much bass out of it. I then got a couple of 10" JBL Eon 610s and built presets at fairly loud volumes at home. Now I really don't touch the presets at all on the main PA system on play on. I also use the technique of "normalizing my volumes with the mixer meters in my DAW to ensure all my presets are in the same volume ballpark so the sound guy doesn't have to jump around. I do a final tweak through each preset staging the gains by ear during rehearsals with the full band mix.

Open a support ticket with Line 6 and have them help you out.

There is a separate Helix Native forum, you may get more help there.

Export your individual presets. You can highlight them all in the 2.11 Editor, then export. Once you have backed up individual presets, update Helix with 2.30, then import individual presets, then reboot to rebuild the presets. All of your snapshots and custom scribble strip names should all be there. If not, open a support ticket with Line 6. You will have all of your presets already backed up anyway.

A way to open the Relay G10 receiver
jbuhajla replied to santosgera's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
I would open a support ticket anyway to see if Line 6 will still take care of you. I know of a few cases where they did. -
New reverbs AND mono versions....this update will be right up my alley. It is the only current weak point for my playing needs.
-
Any time a preset is changed in a particular slot (importing, copy pasting, etc) that preset slot will be rebuilt upon booting up. That is why presets rebuild once upon updating firmware because all slots are now blank presets. It will rebuild again when you import your presets. Try importing a preset to a blank preset then cycle power. It will rebuild that single preset.

Should I make the move from “real gear to a Helix?
jbuhajla replied to Sebaileyus's topic in Helix
This is what works for me...perfectly: Helix floor, 2 external expression pedals, Line 6 G10 wireless. Play at church every week. I got rid of all my other gear except for one tube amp. Haven’t turned on the amp in over a year. Helix and wireless in a semi hard case. Just grab that and a couple guitars, and ready to go. 5 minute setup and tear down. Now factor in the ability to have 1024 custom pedal board and amp combinations (presets) at your feet. It is the ultimate in flexibility. Dial up a preset and it sounds exactly the same every time. At church I play direct to FOH and monitor with IEMs. At home I play through two JBL Eon 610s or my IEM connected to Helix. It’s connects easily to your favorite DAW via USB to be your recording interface. You can listen to backing tracks through it via usb for practice. No brainer for me. -
I use the G10 at home and at church. It just sits on the floor right next to Helix connected with a 12†cable. Zero issues. Love it.
