Hi, I haven’t used Cubase for years, but check this at 1:35 to see if it helps - this one is Windows, but should be the same on a Mac. Hope this helps/makes sense.

Hi, Yes, it is both possible and absolutely necessary to register your copy of Helix Native. If you don't activate the registration, it will work as the demo version until the end of the trial period. To activate your Helix Native plug-in, sign in to your Line 6 account. Once there, click the activation link on the lefthand side panel headed Hardware & Software , enter your activation code, and click submit. Your activation code is located in the Software Activation Instructions email sent from your Sales Engineer, or on the Invoice for your purchase. Then you will need to authorise your computer to use the newly installed plug-in. Simply open your DAW, launch Helix Native, and sign in with your Line 6 username and password. Open your DAW of choice and insert the Helix Native plug-in to a track. Sign in with your Line 6 username and password. Click Authorize This Computer. Hope this helps/makes sense.

As I stated previously - I’m aware of the global pandemic creating problems in the manufacturing sector, but before everyone starts to panic about a famine of Helix units, a cursory trawl of U.K. distributors revealed all of these have boxes available for immediate delivery. Some possibly have 8 or 9 Helix Floor models in stock - sadly, they all are the standard issue finish - black! When I told the Porsche dealer that I wanted a red 911 (because everyone knows the red ones go faster), he just grinned and said I would have to wait. Oh, dear, what a shame. Anyhow, as we are doing lists now - here ya go! https://www.yamahamusiclondon.com/product.php?product_id=GHELIXUK&source=froogle&gclid=CjwKCAjw3MSHBhB3EiwAxcaEu9GkpZYcXl8ZT97P-mgxu5fjtthzAgt8BzgnhFbQQxmUYz6YkGbPFxoC53wQAvD_BwE https://www.andertons.co.uk/guitar-dept/electric-guitar-amps/amp-simulators/line-6-helix-floor-multi-effects-unit https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/multi-effects-pedals/line-6-helix-multi-effects-processor?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=surfaces&gclid=CjwKCAjw3MSHBhB3EiwAxcaEu-RKd650_bOtzR1ZnRpHk_s_GB5GIAw06iAryQdUDA1TmGr52N_5CBoCJkMQAvD_BwE https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/150611287296002--line-6-helix-floor?gclid=CjwKCAjw3MSHBhB3EiwAxcaEux27hJ-YR5Fjy6To3-xrfZRw0p7XR2RRAscCJtcAiZzhVtU-ClMmNxoCJXsQAvD_BwE https://musicstreet.co.uk/collections/multi-effects/products/line-6-helix-guitar-processor https://www.guitar.co.uk/line-6-helix-guitar-multi-effects-pedal?gclid=CjwKCAjw3MSHBhB3EiwAxcaEu1UbLO1fPYKhAWXj1Pi-YKhfjWm6I9W2Jja-4ryNUxXgHNDI553VQxoCIb0QAvD_BwE https://www.gak.co.uk/en/line-6-helix-guitar-processor/118534?gclid=CjwKCAjw3MSHBhB3EiwAxcaEu7Li2iY4y0YeSfTp8qtkfyEzuVyVU0_5u6w5hIPurHrXG60byLAnHhoCfZAQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds https://www.peachguitars.com/line-6-helix-floor-tour-grade-guitar-processor.htm?opt=11321&gclid=CjwKCAjw3MSHBhB3EiwAxcaEu2RNijdWq67Bvr1EsoVHRCl9l1-QQ_32SrmswR4L35yNXaUv9bmTqBoC-FIQAvD_BwE https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/line-6-helix-floor-effects-processor-with-free-soft-case?gclid=CjwKCAjw3MSHBhB3EiwAxcaEu9tOV18Rzj6lSAtzQc2Y88_h7ZGGD0HsBkiX-bJdNEy04FPaFL5SdRoC_QoQAvD_BwE https://www.kennysmusic.co.uk/line-6-helix-guitar-processor?source=googleps&gclid=CjwKCAjw3MSHBhB3EiwAxcaEu-Re0RR2XS3cSXYHJNir7hxwcKUIGk4Qf_0gBCcxkCrDE4p4UNRzzxoCBioQAvD_BwE https://www.dv247.com/en_GB/GBP/Line-6-Helix-Floor/art-GIT0035869-000?campaign=GShopping/GB&ProgramUUID=5G_AqJarZwoAAAFl0FZyjI8V&gclid=CjwKCAjw3MSHBhB3EiwAxcaEu8Lc9wb4a6Tp_m2xl7jmaogd1gevBrx6HwKz-Kaf2bwSaAV16-TmThoCmt0QAvD_BwE https://www.thomann.de/gb/line6_helix_guitar_processor.htm

Hi, This is the only reference to the 8200 error code that I could discover - check it out. Hope this helps/makes sense.

O.K. Fine, but essentially my point is that the circuit boards and chips are identical inside whatever the colour of the box. I am also aware that during the pandemic there have been some shortages in the availability of various electronic components. Although, I wouldn’t think that is the reason for a distributor like Sweetwater not having a Space Grey model in stock. Surely the fact that they are a “limited issue” is more likely to be the reason for the item having to be on special order, rather than a shortage of processors. Now, I think I should check out with the Porsche dealership to see how long the delivery time will be if I want the paint a different colour to the stock finish options on my new 911. It should be fine unless there is a shortage of engines. ;-)
-
Ho Lee Sheet! What an absolutely ridiculous idea! Are you having a giraffe? I have encountered some daft ideas in my time, but this is an absolute gem. A shortage of microchips, means you can’t get a “space grey” model?. Yeah! Right! Err. Hello, that would be down to a shortage of paint, not circuit boards. Actually, models of limited availability makes them in short supply, obviously by the fact they are “limited” models. You could buy one and paint the damn thing fluorescent pink, if you wanted to. It”s a metal box, it does not alter the sounds that come out of it. Yep, it’s down to vanity! Pure and simple. Jeezis! Get a grip and just buy the thing, and a rattle can of “space grey” . I normally finish my posts with “Hope this helps/makes sense”, but in this case there’s no point, you’ve already embarrassed yourself.

Interesting, but as you have isolated the Helix, and discovered that it works fine on it’s own, then the demons that inhabit the NI Komplete interface must be appeased. This might require a human sacrifice - or a post on the Native Instruments forum, as that seems to be the item at fault. Hope this helps/makes sense. - actually, the problem is so weird that it doesn’t make sense to me - at all.
-
You should be able to get those recreated in a very short time as the workflow is simple and efficient - plus they will all sound a lot better. Hope this helps/makes sense.

Ha, ha, yeah, but in more of a beer drinking buddy capacity. I was just starting Art School at that time and hanging out with a bunch of like minded people. The Zannies keyboard player was in the year above me at art college and Gnome, and Pete Sewell were regular associates. When Allan joined Museum, he was the replacement guitarist for my friend Pete, referred to as “The Sewell” (also now sadly deceased) and a spiffing guitar player in his own right! Boogie on, Pete! Ye gods, this stuff is almost a lifetime away! Legend has it that when Holdsworth went to the audition for Tempest, Pete also showed up, but on arrival at the stage door he heard Allan in full flow and thought there was no point in being there, as it was a forgone conclusion that Holdsworth would get the gig. Pete decided to retire to the bar over the road and get drunk. A short time later, Allan entered the same bar for a light refreshment after the audition. He spotted a guitar case in the corner, then looked across and on seeing Pete said “Bloody hell, Pete! If I’d known you were up for this I wouldn’t have shown up”. Pete said something to the same effect, and the two old mates drank themselves silly until late in the night. The result was Allan got the Tempest gig, and Pete wound up on the Cruise Liner, Club and Casino circuit. These are the ways of the world, and I was a callow youth, who has very fond memories of some amazing people who could be regarded as friends - if only for a short while.

Hi, Well Allan’s tone from his early days (when used to drink with him, and his band mates - https://www.zanywoodruff.com/related-bands/the-museum-1967/) with the cherry red SG, then using those Yamaha UD Stomp units and finally the headless Carvin HH Guitars, was a constantly shifting soundscape. Hard to nail especially that period you mention 1978 (U.K.) and ‘85 (Metal Fatigue) - check on Customtone - there are several Holdsworth tones you could try to analyse. EDIT: In fact I posted one on Customtome a while back - "AH-Home_Fatigue" https://line6.com/customtone/search/?submitted=1&family=helix&search_term=Holdsworth Hope this helps/makes sense.

Hi, A couple of points here. The current firmware number is v. 3.11 Also, you don’t say if you followed the release notes about making backups of your presets, then restoring them from the backup. When the update completed, your Helix should have rebooted and gone through the rebuilding presets process. Did this occur? The release notes also advise that you perform a factory reset of the hardware after updating the firmware. Do you do this? As you seem to have upgraded your firmware directly from 2.3 to 3.1, I will have to point out that at v.2.8 the firmware core operating system was changed. This particular update seemed to create a state of panic for some users when they encountered the “Boot failure” message and it looked like their unit was bricked. This was an expected issue and fully covered in the release note. You didn’t mention if this part of the update happened to you? Another thing is, as you are coming from an older firmware revision all your presets need to be upgraded to the existing format to be able to use them without problems. Every time you load one of you old presets then your Helix should go through the “rebuilding presets” routine. You didn’t mention if you have seen this happening - if it did you would know as it can be quite a time consuming process. Having said all this - essentially if this is a software issue then it’s not the end of the world and there are fixes to try - up to and including a re-install. Those :-28 and :-33 error codes have been reported here previously and It would mean trawling though the forums to find them, therefore at the moment my suggestion would be, as is usual when weird stuff starts to happen - factory reset, rebuild presets and update to the latest firmware. Rinse and repeat. Hope this helps/makes sense. Helix Floor/LT Button Combination Description 2 LED light Fun 3 & 4 Test Mode 5 & 6 Global reset 7 & 8 Reset setlists to factory, Keep IRs 8 & 9 Reset setlists to factory, Clear IRs 9 & 10 Reset setlists to factory, Global reset, Clear IRs 10 & 11 Upgrades existing presets to latest format 11 & 12 Clear current preset 5 & 12 Clear setlists, clear IRs, Return system settings to default 6 & 12 Safe boot mode To use Reset Options: Power off the Helix Hold the desired button combination Power on the Helix Release the button combination Please note: Buttons are numbered from top left to bottom right.

HELIX STOMP EXP PDL: 2 MOTIONS FOR EFFECT TO RESPOND
datacommando replied to goldenthomas's topic in Helix
Hi, I use 2 of the M-Audio EX-P pedals on my Helix Floor and have never had any issues with them. The only thing I could suggest is if you have not used the pedal for a year or so, try some contact cleaner on the potentiometer inside the pedal and clean the jack plug and Stomp jack socket with some isopropyl alcohol as things might have become oxidised while being unused. Also check the small grey knob on the LHS of the pedal is turned fully clockwise and that the switch underneath is set to 'OTHER". Hope this helps/makes sense. -
Utilisez le lien ci-dessous. https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a4091ba5febd6f9920c4/application/pdf/HX Effects 3.0 Owner's Manual - Rev B - French .pdf https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a3f3f1d5a6a1b3cac823/application/pdf/HX Effects Cheat Sheet - French .pdf Translation: Hello, The best place for you to start would be to read the Owner's Manual for the HX Effects. It is available to download (French language). Read through it, and then you may have a better understanding of how to connect your POD HD 500X using the Send and Return loops available. When I first got my Helix Floor, I hooked it up to my old POD HD 500 to use the Dimension effect which was later added to the Helix range as a legacy effect. Hope this helps/makes sense. Hi, Yes, I have 3 of those M-Audio EX-P pedals. I have 2 connected to my Helix Floor unit and the third is used on my Arturia KeyLab61 controller keyboard along with an M-Audio sustain pedal. The Mission pedals are metal cases and built like tanks for heavy duty use. The M-Audio are tough plastic cases, but at theses prices you could buy several of these for the cost of a single Mission box. When it comes down to it - it’s a variable resistor that you sweep with a treadle. As my Helix is essentially studio based and the M-Audio pedals are still working perfectly after 5 years, if and when one fails it’s cheap enough to replace. Hope this helps makes sense. EDIT: If you do buy one and then you think that the sweep appears to be “reversed” going from 100 heel -0% toe, simply go to the Global settings a set the polarity function to “inverted”. Solved!

Hey, you could turn that into a song - you never know, you might get lucky! ;-)

Helix Native compatibility issue with M1 Mac?
datacommando replied to vadar1's topic in Helix Native
A quick check would reveal that you're not alone. One solution offered was to run using Rosetta, which seemed to do the trick until Apple updated Big Sur once more, and that brought the whole house of cards tumbling down again. The thing about Logic Pro not recognising/validating the Native plug-in has also been noted many times, and it seem that if you tick the option to "Use" that will get it to function. Heres a link. Hope this helps/makes sense.- 33 replies

You’re a little late to the party - this has been done many time before. Lots of Excel spreadsheets and Acrobat pdf documents scattered around the forum and the internet. Do a search. Here’s an example from a few weeks back. Hope this helps/makes sense.

Hi, again, As you seem to have gone through the regular trouble shooting routines without success, then the best strategy would be to have it swapped out for a new unit that does function. Check with your retailer, or Customer Service for details on how to proceed. I have to say, for the record, that this has to be the first time that I’ve heard of this sort of USB issue with a brand new unit. It will doubtless be replaced without any quibbles. Good luck.

Hi again, If it’s box fresh, what version of the Firmware is installed - you can see that on the start up screen, or find it on the Global Setting screen. The usual thing to do when encountering general weirdness with the hardware Is to perform a “Factory Reset” to blow the bugs out. Anyhow, in this case you have nothing to lose, and if all else fails try it with someone else’s computer - ultimately it is under warranty. Hope this helps/makes sense.
