  1. Like the back of a Volkswagen?
  2. Looking for some alternate effects ideas. Decided to use my crybaby pedal instead of always using a Pod Wah model. So now my expression pedal is freed up. Currently I set it up to fade in and out the mix on the barberpole phaser for a little texture during certain parts of songs and solos. Looking for some alternate and cool ideas that you guys use so I can try out different stuff. Settings would be the most helpful. I know you guys have some great ideas. Let's hear them!
  3. He only has a 300, so cascading distortions are out of the question. Keep the MXR, it will sound great once you line everything else out. I wish I had firsthand experience with your amps and could help you along on your quest. Perhaps create a topic with those amps in the title will pique the interest of someone with a similar setup. Good luck!
  4. You can use the pitch shifter to change your tuning up or down. The smart harmony is used to double your guitar sound and play a second tone based on what key and scale you choose. Which do you want to use? Harmony or pitch change?
  5. I actually work for a company that was family owned for 80 years before being sold to an "Asset Management" company. We were almost out of business, but they trimmed both hourly and salary, improved production and reduced costs, and we were sold again a few months ago for 1.125 billion (with a b ) dollars. Not all buyouts are bad. We are almost back to our pre-sale employment levels, but now we are actually making money. I will wait and see. I think it's a good thing. Yamaha has an excellent track record of running a business.
  6. I don't believe you can. I'm not familiar with the Vetta, but if it accepts midi commands it could be possible. RTM is my recommendation.
  7. Yes, it will work fine. I would recommend a bass cabinet just for proper frequency response though. So if you have one, go for it.
  8. Brazzy, I've never noticed your signature before. I like it. And we are ALL still learning how to play the guitar. \m/
  9. You could make some awesome tones running one pod in the fx loop of the other. Use one strictly fx loop post amp for delays/mods/synth and the other for amp models and dirt boxes. Could have some crazy tones. Cascade one amp into the other using the loop. My brain is gonna explode!
  10. Haha yes. Thanks for the rescue.
  11. Lol you are right, it doesn't. That's what happens when I'm trying to answer a post quickly while talking to someone at work. I'll just let myself out...
  12. Pod doesn't do audio over USB. You need to plug headphones or speakers directly into the Pod.
  13. Hey all, I've been using this forum mostly on my phone, which doesn't allow +/- rep unless I change out of mobile view, which is much more cumbersome. So for the next few days I'm going to +rep as often as I can from my home computer. YOU get a +rep! YOU get a +rep! YOU get a +rep! EVERYONE GETS A +REP! Regards, Stumblinman
  14. If there is an MP3 line in you could use that to bypass all the spider modeling. I know the 4 has a bypass if you hold the nav button a certain direction while turning it on, not sure on the 3.
  15. Just remember, if you use your tuner you lose your loop. Be prepared.
  16. There is a very good DT edit program stickied at the top of this forum. Designed for windows and built by a member of the forum. I use it and it works great. Give that a try. Sorry to hear you had so many issues.
  17. No. You may want to check your chipset drivers for your motherboard. Probably USB needs updated.
  18. Sometimes a corrupt patch can do this. Follow instructions above.
  19. Also, if you are experiencing a delay between patch changes on the DT50, making your patches use the same topology and class can improve the change speed. If it has to fire the relays between the topologies AND change from class a to a/b, there is bound to be latency. The DT50 is worse for this than the 25 from what I've been told. I have a 25, so I can't compare. Just a tip I was told long ago to help with patch delay.
  20. You can use the DT's reverb and save an effects block too. The update is worth it just to be able to select your favorite reverb and have it available all the time.
  21. I almost always use the blackbacks. It is just my personal favorite.
  22. I used a clean Plexi with a fuzz face in front for most of my Melvins tones if that gets you anywhere close.
  23. Yes. It has one bass amp model in it, and there are tons of effects that work well on bass.
