  1. I/O configuration in the edit or set-up page in the Helix would be a place to start. Good idea to use a real VDI cable and not some regular CAT5 cable.
  2. You have a 69 with a "W" prefix on your serial number. Make sure that if you get a Warmouth neck, that it has the rod adjusting nut access at the head stock.
  3. If the rod nut access is on the body side of the neck, on a 69 with a "W" prefix in the serial number, then you will have a problem adjusting the rod, as the pick guard will cover the rod access from that side. It would have to be a Warmouth neck with rod nut access at the head-stock. Only the US builds of JTV-69 have the rod nut access on the body side of the neck (with a notched pick guard for access there).
  4. Log a support ticket with Line 6. There are four different reasons for this, set-up, piezo, piezo interface, main board. Needs to be properly troubleshooted.
  5. Also, be sure the strings have a 12 to 15 degree breaking angle between the string nut and tuner post hole.
  6. Best to go to your local guitar shop or music instrument retailer and compare to see what fits.
  7. Black box display,... has to go to a Line 6 authorized service center. It is not a self repair thing.
  8. Body, neck, jack plate, battery and battery box is a JTV-69. No program board or UI electronics. Pick-guard assembly, electronics and pick-up are not stock. Very customized. Very early serial number, definitely the Korean version. No service record. If it needs servicing it will have to go to a custom shop, we would not service that. If the new owner wants to make it factory and legit again, they can contact Line 6 Support, and after evaluation,... maybe I can bring it back to factory again. It would be a semi custom out of warranty job to make it factory again. I've done those before.
  9. " Assuming you are referring to Helix, controllable input impedance is only available on the 1/4" guitar input, it has no effect on VDI input. "--- Correct. That and the slight variations in 1/4" guitar cable impedance between manufacturers, and the tone color may have a slight shift compared to the VDI line. After all, impedance is a function of frequency, it's how filters work.
  10. Shipping issues were dealt with. Flow should be back to normal soon. Forget the rumors from those who don't know, it's just chasing a mirage. Want information, go to the source.
  11. Problem at this time is with Catalina. It's being looked into. Check with Support to see where that's at.
  12. Short answer is impedance. VDI impedance is stable between cables. 1/4" cables vary from company to company, so there may be a slight variation in tone color and frequency response.
  13. It is being looked into. I don't know what the results are. Contact Support for details.
  14. https://line6.com/legacy/svhd100 Check the online manuals, check the Model selections.
  15. Other amp tones into SV MkII? Or SV MkII into some other amp? Either way, I would think not, our patches would not be compatible in some other company's product, and vice versa. Check the OS compatibility on the Downloads list, your computer may have too new of an OS.
  16. What cruisinon2 said,... and fully charged battery in the guitar. Disconnect any USB hubs, go direct with the interface device.
  17. No problem, thought it might be a simple typo. It happens. ;)
  18. We have added some other body colors with the Standard and Shuriken. And have switched to ebony fret boards on the guitars in general.
  19. Please leave it to an authorized professional.
  20. X3 Live will have a problem with Workbench HD, so best use the Interface Device kit and go direct to the computer using that. And of course, make certain there are no USB hubs connected while doing that.
  21. 89 is not made anymore, but the 89F is still in production.
  22. X3 Live is pre HD. To make use of Workbench HD, the guitar has to be Flash v2.00 or higher. And you should use the VDI to USB interface kit for that.
  23. " Are there no known DIY fixes for this kind of thing? "--- aside from a new battery holder,... no. Something else is also affecting things, and Mark is the guy over there to deal with it. DIY with that is not recommended, especially if you need parts (which sounds like it's more than likely). Mark Wright isn't on the official list, but he knows these guitars better than anyone over there. After Line 6 closed it's UK location, he opened his own shop in Brixworth, Nothhamptonshire. http://www.markwrightmusic.com/
  24. https://line6.com/find/service_center/ Mark Wright Music in Northampton, he knows the guitars as well as I do. He used to be my opposite number when Line 6 had a location in Rugby, back int he day.
