  1. just use the 1/4 outs into the front of your amps. If you are only using the effects in the POD, no amps, you should set the output mode to Studio Direct. You may need to experiment with the Line/Amp switch and the guitar impedance settings to get the optimal signal for your rig. Remember that to get a true stereo signal to your amps you must use stereo effects. If you must use a mono effect like a noise gate be sure it is at the beginning of your effect chain. If it is after any stereo effects your output will be in dual mono.

yep, but why bother? switch to triode, class A/B, and topo 1 and it is much quieter for home use...
  3. I use DT Edit too and whatever changes you make, that's it, they are in there. Nothing special to do to save them.
  4. You can do all of that with a 3rd party editor connected by midi to your DT. The editors can be found at the link below. Once you get connected you can see what is there and change everything to suit your taste including amp models, cabs, configuration, and reverb. http://line6.com/support/topic/124-user-created-dt-editors/
  5. I agree, its unusable as is. No matter how hard you try, it just goes out of sync with anything its used with, click track, drum beats, backing track... tone building is about it...
  6. I think you may be better served with getting a second cab! If volume with the band is the real issue its better to get a second cab instead of trying to push your patch levels to the point of excessive gain and feedback. Doesn't matter how strong your amp is, a single 12" cab is only going to go so far... Another option is of course to mic your guitar and get it into the FOH mix.
  7. not sure you are going to be able to do what you think here. Fender has no built in ability to use it as a separate speaker cabinet. you would have to rewire the speakers with a jack to be able to connect to the DT and then you would have to be able to figure out the total impedance to be able to use it correctly with the DT internal speaker or even as a totally separate speaker cabinet. You may be better off taking the DT25 cab simulated direct out into the FX return of the Fender amp. The reality is you are going to be very surprised at how loud a DT 25 is compared to your Fender. It will rock your socks off. If you need more volume at any point with the DT make sure you are in class A and pentode and if using a POD with L6 link, select topology III. Even better still is take your cab sim out to the mixer and put your guitar in the FOH mix.
  8. you are changing amp models so the DT has to configure its power section to match. That sound is the relays physically changing the structure of the tube power section to match your patch. If you change topology, class, or pentode/triode it will have to physically reconfigure and you get the clicks and delay. Build your setlist with minimal changes between amps. You don't HAVE to keep the amps at their default settings. If you want a Blackface to follow a Treadplate just set the Blackface topology, class and pentode settings to match the Treadplate and you should be good to go.
  9. you have 4 amps in each channel. you change amps with the topology switch. you can use a 3rd party program DT Edit found in the POD HD forum to connect by midi and configure your amps, cabs, mics and reverb to taste. if you connect with your HD500 you don't need to worry about it because EVERYTHING is done in the POD and the DT gets configured to match.
  10. I just submitted the idea for an Advanced Search feature. Log in and support it. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Advanced-Tone-Search-Option/678376-23508
  11. another thing I noticed is that the TT lets you turn individual effects on and off with the FBV Shortboard. You can't do that with the 75/150 can you?
  12. If you go to the bottom of the linked page below and branch down to the Learn More about "How does Wet/Dry Amplification Work?" it shows that all the speakers are involved with your guitar tone. However, only the POST effects are routed to the stereo speakers, all PRE effects and the amp tone goes to the main center speaker. Now I don't have one of my own to play with but I suspect that how you build your tone will drastically affect how the wet/dry/wet sound is recreated. Bottom line - to make sure you are getting the full stereo effect you must place your stereo effects like chorus, delay, etc. in the post section and adjust accordingly. http://line6.com/amplifi/amp/ Now the new TT doesn't have that same capability. Its more like a 500 from what I see, normal stereo, no wet/dry/wet.
  13. So Zap, does the TT become a soundcard then? Can you monitor your recording from the TT? Can you play back through the TT?
  14. wow, that's some amazing playing bro. You didn't give us much of a starting point so forgive me if I state the obvious here. Not in the same league but there are some things that work for me. I see you are direct to PA when solo so some tricks for full amp models. - Use the Amp and Cab DEP. Master of course for power section distortion, but also pull the Sag and Bias down to 20-30 as well. Kick up the cab Res and Thump to 65 area. - Put a Tube Comp right after the mixer, thresh around 50, level around 25, adjust to taste. Also put a Boost Comp up front with Comp around 50 and play with Drive and Output to sweeten it up. - Dual amp/cab models. Try using the same amp with different cabs and mics to blend in that sweet spot. Different tone stacks and gain levels that complement each other. Think out of the box (you already have that nailed!) with the amps and cabs. Mix and match to get what you want. - Change the mixer levels. Set the pans to -34, 34 to keep some stereo separation but pull things more to the center. Hopefully some of this helps!
  15. 1- If I buy Mototola Moto G will be compatible with the amplifier (from what I read some say yes and others not)... - I don't know for sure. It says devices running Android 4.2-4.4 and lists the devices below. However, the app runs on my Sharp Aquos Crystal and its not listed. Then again I have no idea if it would connect since I don't have a TT. Samsung® Galaxy S®5, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy Note® Pro, Samsung Galaxy Note II, HTC® One M8, HTC One M7, Motorola® Moto® X, Google® Nexus® 7, Amazon Kindle Fire HDX, ASUS® MeMo Pad®, ASUS Fonepad. ASUS PadFone, LG® G2, LG Optimus, LG F7, LG Nexus 4 2- They are planning to release version for windows or mac? - I have heard nothing at all about plans for windows or mac but the fact that the USB works with both does make you wonder... 3- How does the USB port work? I saw on youtube and everyone says it's possible to record, here in the community everyone says it isn't.. - Only thing we know for sure is you can send audio OUT from the TT to your computer to record. We don't know if you can send audio IN. ** the USB does not work on the 75, 150 or the 100, that's what people are talking about when they say it doesn't work.
  16. yeah but he doesn't talk about the USB feature, doesn't even use it in the video...
  17. A USB sound card? Can you confirm audio is two way? not just audio out via USB? Audio playback via USB too?
  18. yeah it happens now and then. the vast majority have no issues. can't compare the two technologies, different animals altogether. Backup your tones to your hard drive and reflash with the latest firmware, then do a global reset and pedal calibration. Do not keep your tones when asked. You more than likely got a corrupt patch somehow. Takes about 10 minutes. Not likely to be a hardware problem but you can always open a support ticket...
  19. ok just to confirm, guitar>DT=sound. guitar>POD>headphones=sound. guitar>POD>DT=no sound. right? 1. check POD input set right. 2. check DT is not in STBY (sorry, just covering bases) 3. check BOTH POD and DT Master are turned up, Start with both at 1/4. and guitar volume up.
  20. If you had bought it new I would maybe say no big deal but you got it used and you don't know what the last guy loaded up in there. Reflash to the latest firmware with the monkey and then load up the amps/cabs/reverbs YOU want inside... and get some coffee... - does that mean you DON'T have to press save on pod? No, you would still have to save the changes if you want to keep them.
  21. well honestly I can't say since I have never tried that pedal. As for the Tarcase, its solid and weighs more than I expected but really not a lot. Its exactly what I was looking for and a lot cheaper than the other custom pedal boards. I don't know how you are going to set up that quad pedal, it won't fit in there. But otherwise, mine is all set up, just plug the power in, turn the power strip on, connect the VDI to the JTV and the L6 to the amp and its done, ready to play. I'm interested to see and hear your setup when you get it finished. Keep us posted.
  22. There are many good ways to boost for solos using the HD500 without adding another pedal. You can assign the amp channel volume to an expression pedal and set minimum to 70 and max to 100 for example. You can use a Boost Comp near the front of your chain with minimal drive and use the comp and output to get your levels. It may add a bit of dirt though. You can place a studio EQ at the end of the chain and use it to boost the signal. You will just have to try them because they all affect your sound a little and only you can say what sounds best for you... personally I like the Boost Comp. You even assign all the parameters to an expression pedal for a variable boost without using a FS...
  23. yep, reflash gets it back to factory and gets you the latest updates. Use the monkey.
