Haha.... KoolAid... it's delicious!

there is a 3rd party utility that can do this: http://www.jzab.de/content/pod-hd unsupported by Line6 but it works. I got voted negative for this! :D granted the conversion isn't going to be 1:1 when you go from 300/400 to 500/500x/pro/prox but i was just providing a starting point... for the most part my REAL advice is, if you want a 500 get a 500... but the utility referenced here is a nice option if that's just something you don't want to pursue at the moment.

Coke. By a mile. solved, resolved, fact.

will not work. sorry. they are not as similar as you think.... the pod HD models were created from scratch for the pod hd's and do not use the same modeling as pod farm. even if all the same models etc were in the pod HD they would sound very different, because the details on the newer pod HD's are much greater than pod farm... which can be a plus or minus depending on what you're looking for.
-
If you're gigging the pod HD's are a much better choice IMO.
-
absolutely not a problem, i only mentioned having seen it asked/answered so that you knew that i didn't have first hand info like some other users that might respond.
-
It will fit, I've seen the question asked/answered before.... no further details here.

It will work fine.

as long as they are an authorized repair center and they reference Bulletin 52, they should not charge you. from what i understand the fix applies regardless of warranty... HOWEVER.... I've not seen or read the bulletin (its only for service centers) and i'm only telling you what i can recall, I cannot commit Line6 or the service center to anything... so best to work direct with the service center... that bulletin number should provide them with the information they need to fix it and get paid for their work.
-
search for one there: http://line6.com/find/service_center/ most likely it will have a number you can call to arrange the service work.
-
sounds like you have USB dropout... it will require a trip to a service center. This is a known issue with X3Lives and most likely a free fix. it can go un-noticed for a long time, because it depends on the computer connected to the device... some computers work fine, and others will expose the issue.

can not connect
TheRealZap replied to tonetonytone's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
another thing to consider... it has to be an intel mac.... if the reason you are on 10.5 is because of a PPC processor... then you'd have to try your luck with a much older driver package. -
can not connect
TheRealZap replied to tonetonytone's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
you can always try removing the drivers... and actually using an older one.... there's certainly no 10.5 related enhancements in the latest: To remove driver 7.3.6 1- On a terminal run this command sudo pkgutil --forget com.line6.driver.xtaudio.package (enter) 2- Then this sudo pkgutil --forget com.line6.driver.xtmidi.package (enter) 3- Reboot To install driver 7.2.9 4- Downloaded driver version 7.2.9 http://line6.com/sof...a.html?rid=5675 5- Run the 7.2.9 driver package to install it and ended the process with a reboot -
It is for the variax input.

Return Merchandise Authorization. That's when a manufacturer give you permission to send something back to them to be fixed/replaced. -
Dl4 Issues
TheRealZap replied to mbguitars's topic in DL4 MkII / DL4 / MM4 / DM4 / FM4 / AM4 / ToneCore
please contact Line6, perhaps they can answer you per my quoted post. -
yeah the longboard is no longer sold, and was never tested and is not supported with the amplifi's that came much later.... having said that it certainly should work just fine! the MKII models have USB (which serves midi to the computer) but that USB is the difference both of the original FBV pedals work fine as well... same scenario... .untested, unsupported but highly likely to work without issue.
-
it supports it through the 1/4" jack just like a regular guitar... you just have to make guitar adjustments manually on the guitar and use the battery.
-
only us users here.... not likely to be anyone that explicitly familiar with your older amp.... best to contact line6 directly and ask them. http://line6.com/company/contact/

Pod Hd 500x And Variax 300, Workbench Not Work.
TheRealZap replied to Sqwier's topic in Variax Guitars / Bass / Workbench
Yes, confirmed it doesn't work, and will not be made to work... all that was in the thread... i realize you're not happy with that... but that's the way technology works... it's just workbench... your variax will continue to work... and you can still play it forever. -
Might be power related you tried an ebtech hum-x? I hear those help
