Well, everyone has a different definition of what a clean amp is... Beyond that, different guitars and pickups will react different with different amps, so one amp that sounds clean with one guitar might sound quite dirty with another one. These are just the kind of limitations we have to do with when it comes to sharing patches.

Sorry, I misread your earlier post - I didn’t see the part where you said it wasn’t the “live” version. The X3 bean doesn’t have a VDI jack. The FBV jack and VDI jack are both RJ45 type jacks, but they’re not the same thing.

Bad tubes would not prevent the amp from powering up.

You need to go to Global Settings>MIDI/Tempo>MIDI over USB and set it to On. You actually probably want to have MIDI PC Send set to Off.

Going into the Stomp's main input shouldn't really add any noise. Putting an OD pedal in the Stomp's effects loop can add some noise, but you're not doing that... Do you have the input set to instrument level? Are you using a high gain amp model on the Stomp? That will definitely increase the noise floor.

For what Variax? Generally, yes, it should work.

They're both "amp-like"... The DT25 is an actual tube combo on its own, so I guess technically, it's more amp-like. Overall, I think the Powercab provides more flexibility in the variety of sounds you can get from it because I think the speaker you select is going to have more of an effect on what you're hearing than the power amp configuration.

Have any of you having these issues actually opened up a support ticket? That's probably your best bet as these forums aren't necessarily regularly monitored by Line 6. Support tickets are the best way to get actual answer from Line 6 CS (although, at the moment, the fires in southern CA may impact the response times).

Relay G10 transmitter broken connector?
phil_m replied to pilot43t's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
Well, that certainly sounds like something is broken inside the transmitter. There shouldn't be any play between the plug and the transmitter body. I imagine if you keep using it, it will only be a matter of time before it becomes worse. I'd suggest opening up a support ticket. -
When you were at the venues, did you have the receiver channel select set to Auto and do the channel scan procedure so it could find the channel with the least interference? I’ve been using my G10S since January and the original G10 since 2016, and I’ve never had a drop out at any venue.

Any parameters you want to have change per snapshot have to be assigned to a controller. If you only want them to change with snapshots, assign them to the Snapshot Controller. On the unit, the shortcut to do that is to push and turn the knob under the parameter. You'll see the parameter turn white. Now you can assign a different value in each snapshot. As far as leveling different snapshots, there's a number of different ways you could do it, but I think the easiest way is to assign the Level parameter in the Output block to the Snapshot Controller.

I have seen several people mention this sort of thing, but it doesn't seem like it would necessarily be self-evident to combine these products. If you think about the typical locations for an IEM transmitter and a wireless receiver, they're not generally in the same place. Most bands keep their IEM transmitters in a rack near a monitor mixer or breakout box. A guitar wireless receiver would typically be in the guitarist's rig somewhere. I'm sure there are some people who could make it work, but it's probably not enough to justify the R&D and production costs of a combination unit.

Yes, sure thing. You could actually use two expression pedals along with the MIDI controller. I believe the Morningstar pedal has an expression input as well.

There are literally thousands of third party IRs out there, so I don’t really think Line 6 is going to get more into that part of the business than they already are. You have two choices. Make use of the tools Line 6 gives you and craft your own cab/mic sounds or find some IR files you like. Really, once you find one or two IRs you like, you can get a ton of mileage out of those few files.

You just want to put the Stomp in your amp’s effects loop? Yes, you can certainly do that. You don’t need to use an loop block to do that. You just connect the amp’s FX send to the Stomp’s guitar in and the Stomp’s output to your amp’s FX return.

Yes, the Spider V 20 is a Class Compliant USB Audio device, so your Mac should see it as an audio device as soon as you connect it via USB.

Hold them down together for a few seconds and you can scroll through their available functions - Bank, Preset, or Snapshot.

That's not how it works... The 2000mA and 3000mA are simply the ratings of the respective power supplies. That's what they're capable of supplying. What they actually supply depends on the load of the device they're connected to. If I plug a 12A vacuum cleaner into a 15A or 20A outlet, the vacuum will only draw 12A in both cases. The key is making sure the current draw of the device you're connecting to a power supply doesn't exceed the supply's rating. The actual current draw of the M9 is a little less than 1000mA.

Well, you can do that sort of thing with snapshots, but you can do much, much more with snapshots than that.

Another dead G10 with red ring of death - reboot fix?
phil_m replied to terryrush's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
There's not necessarily a Line 6 employee that reads all these posts... There a few that hang out now and then, but these are support forums. Anyway, there isn't no factory reset procedure for a G10 transmitter as far as I know. I don't know that there's anything to reset. -
This behavior is determined by the EXP # Position setting in Global Settings>EXP Pedals. If you set to Global, the value of the parameters controlled by the expression pedal will always reflect the current position of the pedal. If you set it to Per Preset, the a specific value will be recalled with the preset, but if you switch snapshots, the parameter values will track the pedal position. If you switch it to Per Snapshot, the parameter value saved with the snapshot will be recalled and stay that way until you move the pedal.

The only real differences, other than the form factor, are that the rack has a 1/4" analog dry pass thru jack on back and the Word Clock in.

Activating the tuner stops all audio processing. I think the issue is that running the tuner itself uses some DSP, so they probably just can't make it so the audio keeps on processing because the additional DSP load from the tuner would put some presets that are close to the DSP over the edge. I guess they could possible make it so that only Path 2 keeps processing (assuming the tuner is using the Path 1 processor). But that would mean the Path 1 and Path 2 would have different DSP capacities.

Are you running the latest firmware? This came up a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure it was dealt with in a firmware update. Even after that , though, the tap tempo LED and the actual tempo are not running off the same clock, so they may drift a bit over time.
