Can you upload a copy of your preset?

Not sure I'm following what you're saying, but are you saying you're getting a gap when changing snapshots within a certain preset? Having multiple copies of the same preset within a Setlist shouldn't have any effect on what's happening with snapshots. If you have snapshots where the sounds are really different, the changes can be noticeable. It may not be a gap, but there can be an audible pop sometimes.

Ben Adrian talks a little about it here:

For parameters to be recalled via snapshot changes, they have to be assigned to a controller. If you only want them to change via snapshots and not have other real-time control, you’d assign them to the Snapshot Controller. In HX Edit, you can right click on the parameter to assign a controller to it. When the menu of available controlllers pops up, just select Snapshot. On the unit itself, push and turn the knob for the parameter. You’ll see brackets appear around the value.

Wireless headphones to Amplify --> Bluetooth Transmitter needed?
phil_m replied to pierre_bedos's topic in AMPLIFi
The AMPLIFi doesn’t send audio over Bluetooth, it just receives it. So, yeah, you would need a Bluetooth transmitter to make it work The latency associated with Bluetooth probably would make it unusable, though. -
Are you running the 64 bit version of Cubase?
-
Yes, it's very easy to do that sort of thing, although I'm a little unclear what you're getting when talk about the piezo signal being routed to send/return1. The returns are inputs and the sends are outputs and you don't have to use them together.

The issue is that standard expression pedals use TRS wiring. This is a typical schematic: Line 6 expression pedal inputs are designed for TS pedals, like this: Sometimes TRS pedals will work. I think it depends on whether or not the tip to ring connection grounds out the whole way. If they do, I think what you're experiencing happens. In short, not all pedals are compatible. If you want something guaranteed to be compatible, the Mission Engineering EP1-L6 is a good choice.

No, there's no way to set it to Logarithmic globally. Like you said, you have to edit it in every instance. As far as EXP3, that only applies to the Helix Floor and the Rack. The LT only has EXP1 and EXP2, and doesn't offer a third expression input.

It sounds like you have things connected incorrectly for the 4CM. The wiring goes as follows (--> being a cable): Guitar --> Stomp Guitar In Stomp FX Send --> Vox Input Vox FX Send --> Stomp FX Return Stomp 1/4" Out --> Vox FX Return

There is no way to save a loop. The recorded loop isn’t saved with the preset. It’s just a single track phrase looper that clears out when you power down.

Don't know why this didn't occur to me earlier, but this is probably the result of the Input Z setting. Even if it's set to Auto in both presets, if one of the presets has a block with a lower input impedance associated with it as the first block in the preset, that could be setting the Input Z at a lower impedance. That could be enough to cause a difference in level. The variable impedance stuff is in the analog realm, prior to the converters.

Close enough for me... It's a pain in the butt to mic up amps at my house, and the times I've tried it, I decided it just sounds better to use the Helix.
-
I interpreted his post as saying the level from USB5 is changing based on the preset he's using... Which, if that's the case, is a little weird, but it looks like the Stomp sums the signal from the returns along with the 1/4" in for the dry signal if there's an effects loop block in use in the preset.

You don't need to use an IR in the Helix if you're using the Powercab's speaker modeling. Just use the Powercab's XLR out(s). They will have cab and mic modeling applied, so functionally it's the same as using an IR.
-
It's possible to use the Helix as a MIDI controller for Native, yes, but you'll have to program things how you want them, and you'll have to set things up in your DAW and in the instance of Native in your DAW. I don't think there will ever be a feature where the Helix is automatically a control surface for Native.

The L6 Link connection will pass audio to the Powercab even if you haven't installed the latest update yet. If you have the Output Block on the Helix set to Multi, audio should start passing to the Powercab as soon as you plug it in.

I'm not at a place where I can look at the presets you attached, but if you are using an FX Loop block in those presets, that can affect what is being sent to USB 5/6.
-
There really isn't a way to transfer settings. You could manually try to match the amps and effects model settings (there is some overlap), but ultimately, you're going to have create the Spider V presets from scratch.

You should create a backup first. The instructions can be found here:

You can keep your patches through the update. Hopefully this idea isn't what's kept you from updating the firmware on your Helix. What firmware version is your Helix running? The instructions as far as how to go about doing it will be a little different if you're on a really old firmware version. But, for sure, you won't have to lose your patches.
