yes check all the settings to make sure you have it right.. i find i need to run the big volume knob at at least 11.00 o clock to get things sounding big and defined. maybe just start with building a simple amp preset with just an amp , maybe an overdrive in front and some reverb..

Cab Modeling and IR Deep Dive - Helix vs Axe/others vs IR's (yet again)

it seems to make my strat sound a bit smoother across its tonal range, on this amp anyway.. i did drop the bass on the amp controls a little to maintain a little bite. sounds pretty good so far -

thanks Roscoe, .. i''m wondering , if you are using the parametric eq are you leaving it set at the default q setting? also are you doing any corrective eq pre or post to compensate ? i tried this idea on the litigator and i thought i may have to compensate for the low boost , thinking it might be a bit boomy but so far it sounds nice tho i am at bedroom volume levels so far. -
but are there any new amps? :p

A question, or idea about ‘improving’ this forum.. FRFR & valve amp..

i'm in agreeance with the poster above, if it is only a small amount of posts about this why start a whole new separate forum for it? -
yes, why not model the Axe-fx while we're at it 😂
-
*output volume knob i mean
-
i've been noticing that a lot of my patches are very volume specific, what sounds great at high volume doesn't sound good at low volume and vice-a-versa. Is this maybe the case? Your practice is a very different volume to your gig? Also where is your output volume set? around the same? I find if it is set low the sound is not so good. Hope this helps

yes i have a recent zoom multi fx also (as backup ) and the pitch shifting is pretty good.
-
wow you bought it just for a few effects? try the amp modelling anyway, you may be surprised (depending on your setup) and have some cool new amp tones ;)
-
i think all the other line 6 originals are all already high gain
-
i'd like to see a small vintage amp done in such a manner ✌ï¸ï¸
-
ahh there's a few already aren't there.??

great resource!! ðŸ‘👠thankyou so much -
personally i've had no problems so far
-
it is pretty nice with the free friedman 2x12 cabs someone here made and posted👠I don't use super heavy sounds too often but you can really have access to the history of rock and roll just using your guitar controls (vol and pickup) with this amp 😄✌ï¸ï¸

maybe it would be best if the editor/updater and firmware were downloadable as a complete package each time.. It would probably be easier all round..
-
yeah, the download is at the bottom of the instructions but it isn't in an obvious place. Also to the opening poster- try downloading the firmware to your computer then using the updater to open the file (offline mode)
-
also your cab is not powered.. you'd need some sort of power amplifier, so it is probably not practical to bother about.
-
check any ir's you might be using.. they won't be there unless you have reloaded them
-
2 or 3 other easter eggs?? Are these in the firmware update and still havent been mentioned digital igloo.?
-
yes i have to agree, my russian big muff is way wooly'er wilder and beefy than the onboard one. i wont be selling it!
-
yes i agree about running the helix output a bit higher, the tone seems to thicken up a bit
-
well a spring reverb on an old tube amp was mono so it makes sense to have mono available
-
how is it? do you get use from it?
