  1. Message me the serial numbers of both units. And if you can get photos of the front and back of the whole guitars, that would be helpful too. I know these really well, I service these guitars.
  2. There's a Knowledge Base about this. If I recall, it has to be FAT32.
  3. "You know perfectly well that I was referring to a simple bridge adjustment that is often necessary with new springs"--- yes. Good of you to point all that out. It's why I said "maybe". Usually a spring thing, there's some stuff that goes on in the Tremolo cavity that is not in the tech manuals, and so I end up dealing with it. All and all, good call on your part. :)
  4. "... nothing that a good set-up can't fix"--- maybe. But if it's what I think it is, I'll have to deal with it.
  5. Log a support ticket. I'll need to see it on my bench. Some adjustments I'll have to make.
  6. When plugging in to a computer, it goes out of pedal mode and into USB mode. The MkII has MIDI connectors in back. No computer connection with MkI. And no trying to get MkII models into a MkI,... in case that was your next question.
  7. Odd,... that link usually works. Go to the Knowledge Base, type in "pots and faders" in the search window, and "Enter".
  8. Also, make certain the volume control shaft is in for full volume, and not out in the lower volume mode. It's an easy thing to forget.

  10. Bridge for a Variax Standard. What is it you are trying to do?
  11. Workbench HD is not compatible and won't work with older Variax like a 700. Only original Workbench works with the older Variax guitars.
  12. Make certain you get the correct piezo/saddle assembly for the correct string pair. They may all look the same, but inside they are not.
  13. Looking at those two guitars, my question is, how are you going to access the truss rod adjust, when you need to adjust neck relief? Aside form that,... nice, very nice.
  14. If you are getting Alt Tunes going backwards from the selector knob labels, then that's a part of the program I will have to deal with. Re-Flash of the firmware won't deal with that, I will have to. Thanks for the heads up. It should be sent to me. You could log a support ticket and have it sent to me.
  15. Possible. It would have to be sent here for evaluation. We have a tech that has a set-up for dealing with this sort of thing. The support people will go over the options with you.
  16. I recall some odd quirk between JTV and iMac's. I think that got resolved early on, but make sure to add that to your support ticket,... just to be certain that is covered.
  17. There is a whole set of signal checks and tests done after putting new tubes (valves) in, sp that it runs stable with the new tubes (valves). For the DT50, EL34EH matched pairs from Electro-Harmonix for the power tubes (valves), 12AX7EH low microphonics for the pre-amp tubes (valves). For the DT25, use the EL84EH Electro-Harmonix (matched pairs) for the power tubes (valves), and 12AX7B China for pre-amps.
  18. It needs to be serviced by a qualified Line 6 authorized tech. Log a support ticket to set that up.
  19. 700 vs 69 vs 300 vs 89F,... apples and oranges, all fruits, but of different stripes and data types. Sorry for the mixed metaphors. 89F was made way after v1.71, wont' sound the same as with more recent firmware.
  20. Correct, wasn't new. Bad way to start out a good experience. Selling a something as new when it's not is considered fraud. eBay wouldn't like that and typically, in my experience, want customers to be satisfied, so I would think they would be okay with returning it for the reasons you mentioned above. If you were to hold onto it, being the guitar repair guy at Line6, I could bring the guitar back up to spec, if needed. Just so you have options. That would be set up through customer support.
  21. Can't seem to open this pic, but first glance, looks like a second generation bridge. Trem bars are still available for those. Wiggly knob is not bad, but not good either. No service history, maybe it's time for an adjust or two.
  22. What version of Firmware is in it? Do you have a photo of the bridge? Are the volume and tone controls loose? Being the person at Line 6 that repairs JTV, Standard and Shurikens, I've seen it all. You can also log a support ticket in your account.
  23. Could be a glitch in the charger or the power management circuit in the battery compartment on the guitar. Also, make certain the when insert the battery in the guitar that it connects correctly, as sometimes it may feel like it is when it isn't. If there is still a problem, log a support ticket in your account. When taking in for servicing, be sure the guitar battery and charger are among the items that go with it, so that the entire set-up can be gone through.
  24. Had to deal with this on a Mac, haven't dealt with it on a PC. Maybe an apps preference selection option, if there is one. Log a support ticket, a couple of them are good at dealing with this.
