Hi Guys!, this is more like a little rant. I´ve been wandering in the custom tone catalog for the HX Stomp and found that those 802 tones are not that real in numbers... I see lots of repeated tones I mean, the same tone, same name, same authors; the exact same tone repeated a lot of times. For example, I´ve been seeing this "Mayer'ishStomp" from jaysadites repeated at least 1 time in every page for about 8 + pages. I´m not saying the user is spamming, but we clearly need some maintenance on the database to remove duplicates. Have you seen duplicates too? Regards

Every time I go to try to download a tone on editor it shuts down the java and in turn shuts down my editor. Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue? I would really like to use the custom tones. Thanks.

Much has been brought out about making the core code for all HX products unified so that future development can be done more efficiently and to the benefit of all product owners releases. My question is: Would we be able to acquire the artist patches made for the HX Stomp for other HX products like Helix and Helix LT. HX Effects would of course have issues due to missing amp cab access. Has anyone tried to move patches between Helix and HX stomp yet?

Hello guys. I recently bought a pod hd 500, I need to find some good patches for live. Unfortunately I do not have time to create my own patches. I hope that you can help me to find some custom tones that I can use in my performance. I have a stratocaster american standard (with single coil), I'm going directly into the PA and use one speaker cabinet. I need: - 2 clean tone (as twin reverb), one of these for funky rhythms - 2 crunch, (one with more gain for songs like 'Black or White') - 2 lead tones (For songs like 'Beat It', I want it all, The show must go on,) I hope you can help me thanks in advance :) Ps. sorry for my bad English

are there any other firehawk fx owners that are frustrated that there is no custom tone for it? I know that I am! all the firehawk fx has is the stupid cloud. it doesn't even have a editor you can use on your computer, instead you are stuck using your tiny phone or tablet. why don't they have these things for the firehawk fx? can somebody explain this to me, or can you please do something. could it be communism?

Hi, I play bass and use a Line 6 UX2 with Pod Farm 2 software. I have tried to download custom tones from the Line 6 website to my Pod Farm 2 software which shows in the drop down window for devices but it won't let me do it. I get an error message saying unsupported patch type. What is the the problem please!

I purchased my first Line6 POD just a few months ago. Since that time I have found a number of really good amp models and have posted some of them to the CustomTone site (SteveKudlacek). Admittedly, I am new to the modeling game, but I am fascinated with the ability to build all of the amps that I could never afford to own. Some of the models are really accurate. My fascination continues... But because there is really no ranking system - number of downloads does not equal satisfaction - I wanted to know what are some of your favorites? If you have a favorite CustomTone, for the HD Pro or Pro X only please, reply with a link here. Also, if you have downloaded some of my patches any constructive criticism here would be appreciated. Thanks. Steve.

Hello POD community, This is my first post so kindly excuse me if this is a bit off topic Has anyone been successful getting the following tones on PODHD500X with latest firmware update (as of this post)? See the following videos (for reference) (a little extra blusely jazzy) or for acoustic sounding These are the best tones for my liking. If yes, can you guys guide me on the signal chain or if patches are already available.

Alright so Ive had my 500 for a while and I hear so many recordings that sound great with it. Now Im pretty good with equalizing and balancing the lows, mids, and highs. The thing is though, I can't make a great sound like those in the recordings, I mean I've tweaked but its so far out there I know there isn't going to be some magic spot where it comes alive. Point is it sounds like a solid-state not even tube like which I hear in many other videos. Ive even downloaded the tones that I thought were amazing from custom tone and still sounds like a transistor! So is it in the mixing of the recording? If so then how do they have such a realistic live sound? if you can create a great sound with this, whether you know how you came up with it or not I just ask for every little detail you use when making the tone the recording or playing live, thanks.

I've bought a POD 2.0 and wish to view some custom tones. However I haven't bought my usb cable to connect my computer yet, is there any way of using Line 6 Edit (or other software) to view custom tones without having connected the pod to the computer? Any help is appreciated!

Hey guys, since the custom tone on the site is malfunctioning already about 4+ months, and nothing changes, I found an alternative, safer and better route here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/556509494392025/ whoever is interested, please join and share!

I have finally succeeded in making my perfect tone!... It's ALIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!! It's ALIIIIVE MUhahaUAHAhAhah! *cough* anyways.... I'd like to thank those of you that helped me with all the questions I posted up here trying to figure this frustrating yet wonderful 500x, I really do appreciate it. So this is what I ended up with, a very heavy, brutal sounding rhythm with just right the right amount of chunk that is designed for being played out live... and loud. I just uploaded this puppy to Custom Tone under the same name as this thread but since custom tone sucks, I will tell you all the info that it doesn't in case someone wants to replicate this thing. **Guitar** - Active EMG 81/85 - Set on bridge pickup **Amp** - Transparent Live power Amp (not a standard guitar amp head. If you want to try it with a normal amp head, you should probably turn all your knobs to noon so you don't color the tone too much) - 4x12 Celestions **POD** - Output = Stack Pwr Amp - Master Knob = 100% - Guitar In = Normal - XLR = Ground - 1/4" out = Line - Input 1 = Guitar (no way!) - Input 2 = Variax - Guitar In-Z = Auto - Input Setup = Preset **Tone** http://line6.com/customtone/browse/podhd500x/28/ So just a few quick notes on this... 1) It is designed to play loud. With my power amp at about 60% I almost overpower my drummer. I made it this way though because I did not want any distortion originating from my amp head. This is also why the Path B for the Mixer is up a few db 2) To those of who are new to PODs, you're going to look at the signal chain and see the amp in Path B but nothing in Path A, so why did I split the chain at all? Am I retarded? Well yeah, but that's besides the point. I read on a post in here a bit ago that, for some reason, if you set the amp chain up like this you will get more distortion out of your tone, well he was certainly right. So that's it. I wish I could make a recording of it but seeing as it would sound completely different running into a pc, you'll just have to check it out to see what it sounds like. Unless someone can tell me how to route my mic input only to the pc and the guitar input only to my cab I think I've covered all the possible variables that could cause you to get a different sound then I intended.
