  1. Use 1/4" inputs and the Tyros as an effects device,... looks promising. Start by trying the 1/4" Line In.
  2. Are you using a cable with tip/ring/sleeve plugs on both ends? If so, then there is either a loose ground return or an intermittent solder point somewhere. If you don't know the insides of this product, then it's best leave it a Line 6 authorized service center.
  3. Older product like that, probably likely it's an old and oxidized solder point on a surface mount component, allowing a partial ground lift, resulting in the clock frequency to demodulate into the audio band. Not a user repairable issue. Should be served at a Line 6 authorized service center that knows the product.
  4. Don't think that can be done, two different kinds of data.
  5. Either there is a loose connection inside, or the battery compartment on the guitar has failed. Log a support ticket from your account, sounds like it will need some servicing.
  6. The saddle is the chassis ground, there's probably some dirt in between. Cotton swab, 70% isopropyl alcohol,... drip it into the saddle, blow out dry with canned air. If that doesn't do it, there's a deeper problem and will need to be service by a Line 6 authorized service center.
  7. "I was told by support the yellow LED is an indication of system issues. "--- Possible. Or the three colored LED itself has a problem. Needs to be checked out by a Line 6 authorized service center in your area who knows the product inside and out.
  8. Battery box power manage circuit failure or loose connection.
  9. Line 6 authorized service in your area. Not a user repairable issue.
  10. Check the top left corner in Workbench HD to see what the guitar label is, to be certain it is correctly programmed for the guitar you have.
  11. Israel,... try Wild Guitars, they are a Line 6 authorized service center. Check with them.
  12. Either something is not enabled in Workbench HD or Helix. Check the settings.
  13. Looks good from the photos. Clean off any flux, check for solder beads and shorts. Plugin with a VDI cable, tap on the pick-up with a small screw driver (volume not too loud), tap on all tree pick-ups in all five toggle positions.
  14. Loose nut under the knob can result in an intermittent chassis ground, and that can lead to a host of minor issues.
  15. Yes. Never turn on an amp without a proper output load on it. Fuses will go open, more than likely the output transformer,... maybe the power transformer as well. Needs to be gone through by a Line 6 authorized service center, and have it checked through properly by a tech who knows the in's and outs of this product. Don't do this yourself , the shock hazard is too great. One slip-up and it hurts like hell if you get zapped.
  16. It will need to go in for servicing at a Line 6 authorized service center. There are several failure possibilities to be checked. It is not a user service repairable problem.
  17. Take the batteries out when using the external supply,... if I recall, page-4 of the manual on older Variax.
  18. Take the 500X out of the path. Use the interface device. HD-500X won't acknowledge old Workbench, only Workbench HD.
  19. https://line6.com/find/service_center/ Look at the pull-down for those that service the guitars.
  20. Original Workbench should be able to bring up the settings, then you can adjust them where you want them.
