    Line 6 Please...

It "may be" that there's just not enough memory, or like L-6 Link there's a design issue stopping this from being implemented. Who really knows but Line-6. Then again, this "may be" on the next update. ;)
  2. Worked for me as well. Swore I would not buy Native but after the update and Priced @ $69 it was impossible now for me to pass up.
  3. Yea that was just too good a price to pass up, $70 bucks!?! I finally bought in! :)
  4. That's what the pros use for audio. ;)
  5. Yep, Izotope does indeed cause latency on the monitoring side. Playback is ok as usual.
  6. Actually, I've used this before and loved it. Overly dense? Each to their own and YMMV, but for those that don't know, that is a picture of how Fractal does their software editor settings on the Wah, and its a functional well thought out design, not deep at all, and it works VERY, VERY well! You can adjust the percentage of when the wah turns on from heel to toe down, the actual slope/curve of the wah which effects the travel & sounds from heel to toe, the speed in which auto engage takes place, and basically design it as it suits you. By varying the frequency/pitch of where the wah engages tone wise, means you can have the wah come on "from out of nowhere", and then disappear as if it was never on in the first place. Very Kewl indeed. The Axe FX II was a bit over-kill in areas, but it also had some very good ideas too like heel-down wah-off waaaay before Line-6 came around with their own version in Helix. Fractal also had "scenes" in their software waaay before "Snapshots" and Helix was even released. Love my Helix, but Id ALSO love it if Line-6 incorporated some "more" of these ideas that Fractal software pioneered into their own. :)
  7. There is not one in my editor, and before someone says it, Yes there needs to be. ;)
  8. Question is, do you like the tones from the EVH gear? If so tweak your sound to those cabs. :)
  9. Are you using a Mission SP1-L6 pedal? If so, that switch can be adjusted by loosening and re-tightening the nuts. I have mine set to a hair trigger. As far as not switching now, use your fingers and switch it. If it switches this way it's just an adjustment that needed.
  10. I understand. We guitar players are never really satisfied with gear and always looking for the next holy grail of tone. FWIW, Helix has kept me from looking for a while now. :D
  11. Yep... And that's why they are still out there. Its because you remember that "one" wonderous sound, like everyone else, and that keeps them around. ;) Not knocking Helix one bit in saying that either. But there's "still" a place for my H&K GM40 and Marshall DSL 100H in my studio too.
  12. So you installed the new 2.51 editor, backed up the patch settings in Helix (2.30), then installed the 2.50 firmware via Line-6 updater (after you updated it), correct? And after you did all of this, you cant find the two new amps or any new legacy effects?
  13. That's the important part on all of this... ;) I don't think it got thru without them knowing. I think It's another release it now (the natives are restless) and fix it later thing. A minor issue for me, but maybe not for some. Either way, its damned if they do release it or damned if they don't for Line-6... And like JB said, it "may" not be a bug at all lol...
  14. Did you try to download it again? Because for me it "opens" and installs just fine on my late 2009 iMac. Then do a backup with it. Then update Line-6 updater. Then install the firmware with Line-6 updater. Easy-Peasy. There have been some issues with MacBooks in the past but I don't remember (because I don't own one) if it's because of incompatibilities with Line-6 software or because the users refused to keep their OS fairly current, or a bit of both. But for me, it worked.
  15. And wheres my damn tuner in the editor!!!???!!!

    Problem updating

Is this message (u showed above) coming from within the Line 6 Updater software? Or are you trying to update Helix outside of Updater? Sorry just trying to understand.
  17. is the latest version of the updater compatible with 10.9.5?
  18. The Friedman and Mesa amps are excellent additions to an already nice pallet of tones. They have that grrrrrr tone factor right off before any tweaks are done! I'm impressed. :)
  19. ^^^^^ Oh yea, if you have a rack and controller, be sure and switch the controller OFF until the update has completed, then turn it on and update the controller software. At least that is how mine worked. Then, if you want to backup your new factory settings for banks 1 & 2 (Ver 2.50) nows the time. Thanks for the info HO.
  20. Id love for Line-6 to go to a strobe-tuner like Kemper did a while back.
  21. The reason the Helix editor does not have a search function is the same reason it does not have a built-in tuner function. It was not implemented.
  22. The only problem with all of this is, "Sure its a little jumpy", and "I dont give a lollipop that its a little jumpy", don't fix it being a little jumpy...
