  3. ok, found it, and you forgot these: 1000 Millidruple "Mil" million Megadruple "Mega" billion Gigadruple "Gig" trillion Teradruple "Tera"
  4. wiggle the wires on the p.s. (power supply) slowly back and forth, round and round. test the plug connection to the pod, hold the plug and move it around slowly in it's conection. then the wire to the plug. then the wire to the p.s. all this while observing the 500 to confirm the power is steady. check the length of wire in the same way. of course this is only elementary and preliminary. i have no clue after that. did you try reflash and reset on all equipment? how often would you say the the fault occurs? and from the time the fault occurs, and you follow your procedure to restart, you change no settings, correct? but, i feel that my troubleshooting procedure is just a way of eliminating the wires and there's something else going on. VIGUPLE!... you made that up. i guess that' guitar speak. ain't got nothin' after that. B)
  5. UNBELIEVABLE! actually charging for air waves. there seems to be plenty of room in the U.S. that's about $12 usd a day. is the charge by day when using?
  6. you have a recording of an amp. is that recording of the amp by itself? did you record it? unless that recording was done with the true tone of the amp in mind, your only going to emulate the recording of the amp and not the true tone, plus the medium you listen through will color the tone. you may be chasing a tone that the pod is not capable of obtaining. the way to get close is to have that amp next to you.
  7. 1) so, the problem only occurs when the 500 is in the chain 2) sometimes the 500 reboots on it;s own 3) random popping and with that other unwanted noise 4) disconnect/ reconnecting gets you up and running...so far so i think it's safe to say the 500 is at fault. the first thing that comes to mind is power. presumably the connection at the 500. does the 500 receive power from the dt50? or does it use the included p.s.? that's all i got..so far
  8. why can't you hear the results of your editing using the program?

  10. when selecting a different amp or fx, it takes about a second to change, correct?
  11. so your saying your saying the editor is slow and toy-like i was going to ask him about that
  12. the hd editor is much more convenient and easier to use. you can access parameters immediately, you can see everything happening on the computer screen where otherwise you might have to enter one mode to access controls by holding down a button while the screen appears for the parameters you want to set and then page over to the particular set you want to tweak. then back to the main screen, which is the signal flow, by pressing a different button. there are a couple of settings you can't access with the editor but once you set them you don't usually change them. for example, output mode, studio direct, combo fron etc. confused? me to. i purposely stopped using the editor to learn how to use the pod controls and it took me a couple of days. now i know them but it is much quicker and more productive when your chasing a tone. you don't want to be almost there and then have to press button A to get to screen B and then page over to screen C then tweak your knob. consider getting a cheap or used laptop but make sure it has the specs to handle the editor program.

  14. you should contact line6 by submitting a support ticket which is found here http://line6.com/support/ under contact tech support
  15. i'm not certain, but after reading some similar posts, there is mention of a power supply problem. with the pod bean you can easily get a new power supply. with the pod pro i think it will have to be serviced. you may try a reset by holding the up and down arrows while power on the unit
