Godere!
  2. I would suggest that you read this - may be it could be the reason for the problem Mac OS 10.10.5 Yosemite cannot sign in. CUT, PASTE AND EDIT FROM MY RESPONSE IN ANOTHER THREAD If this is causing you so much trouble, then the easiest thing to do is not try to run the update over the internet and do a local install, by downloading the stuff you need and using the Line 6 Updater Utility. First you will need the HX Edit v2.92 software, then the Helix v 2.92 Flash Memory Bundle. O.K. go to the "DOWNLOADS" menu at the top of this page and from "-ALL HARDWARE-" select Helix, then leave the "-ALL SOFTWARE-" as is, now select Mac OS X from under the "-ALL OS-" tab. from the next page you can select Helix/HX Firmware 2.92 Flash Memory, then below that you will need the HX Edit 2.92. Now scroll further down the page a grab Line 6 Updater version 1.9. Download all these bits to your Mac( they need to be installed in the Line 6 folder inside your Applications Folder). If as you say this a new Helix, unless you have made some presets that you wish to keep then they need to be backed up using HX Edit prior to updating the Firmware. If everything if fine then proceed to next step. Ensure that you have your Helix connected to the Mac by USB cable and launch the Updater Utility and select "Offline Mode". Your Helix and current firmware version should show in the window, click on the dark green coloured band and you should now have the option to select a local file - point it at the Flash Memory file you down loaded and let it get on with the update. Hope this helps/makes sense
  3. Ciao, Vai qui e scarica il foglio di calcolo Excel, che mostra tutte le aggiunte ai modelli negli aggiornamenti del firmware. Spero che questo ti aiuti.
  4. it’s a really big help to know exactly what computer, OS and any other info regarding your situation, rather than - me too! It’s becoming a little tedious having to re-post this stuff over and over again! “The truth is out there.” Please ensure that your version of HX Edit and the firmware revision numbers are the same, as it is not unknown for an old version of the editor to launch instead of the latest. And, of course, you did read the instructions because this comment was posted by Digital Igloo in the release notes for the Firmware update. IMPORTANT! Carefully read and follow the update instructions below. If you don't—and then run to the forums asking why it's not working—the interwebs will make fun of you.
  5. You can’t download “HT Edit APP for IPAD” - it doesn’t exist! Also, if you actually meant to ask - “how do you download HX Edit APP for IPAD?” Same answer, there is no such App. It does not exist! Read the thread, it was started 2 years back.
  6. I just had another look at my M-Audio pedals because as you say, they should be ready to go right out of the box. I get used to them simply being there and never having to worry, but now I checked once again and on the side of my pedals is a small rotary pot that allows you to set the Min and Max amount of output at heel down and toe down. As I play around with that little potentiometer it appears to hit 100% at the centre and then rolls of back to zero at both ends of the travel. I think this is what you are experiencing, but with mine I can set the minimum at the side until I can see 0% on heel down and 100% on toe down. As I understand it, the idea of being able to set a minimum of, for example 30% on the heel end if the travel, is for keyboard players who may only be wanting to drop the volume of certain parts in a live band scenario. It's a little odd to try and explain in a forum post, but there is a video showing what I mean. I'm not familiar with the Boss pedal so I don't know if there is an adjustment know somewhere on it - there is on the one in this vid. Example video - start at 1.38
  7. Hi, Not within the Helix, but you could patch an Electro Harmonix Attack Decay pedal in a send/return. That does the slow attack violin style of effect. Relatively inexpensive add on.
  8. I'm not entirely sure about this, but it may be worth taking a look. When you did the factory reset the globals will have been reset to the default. Did you try checking the Global settings -> EXP2 Polarity and with try both "Normal" and "Inverted". My two external M-Audio pedals need to be on inverted polarity.
  9. Copy and paste from another thread: Hi, Please check that you really are using the latest version of HX Edit. The reason I mention that is because you are using a Mac, it could be an old “alias” of HX Edit is accidentally loading and screwing up the connection. Quite a few other users have been caught out with this previously and it’s really annoying when you don’t realise what has happened. Other than that - don’t use a hub for the USB connection, in fact it maybe better if Helix is the only thing on the USB until you establish a link with HX Edit. Once you know it works, then you can hook up your other stuff. Hope this helps/makes sense. Also, when trying to establish a connection try and ensure that absolutely nothing else is running in the background that may interfere. Quite simply - shut down everything else, iTunes, Little Snich etc. On a PC use one of the USB ports on the rear of the machine. Oops! Resurrected a 5 year old thread - beware the zombies! This is the official Line 6 info re: USB connection issues.
  10. Hi mcoffin, Just seen your post about LXP 10.5 and HXN. Mmm... The perils of being an early adopter - this stuff happens and is why when stuff is “mission critical” it’s usually best not to jump straight in and let others get snarled up with revised software problems. Oh, you’ve already jumped, which let’s me know not to bother with 10.5 for a while. You seem to have realised that it could be Logic that has messed up, possibly because Native 1.92 may not have been tested on LXP 10.5 as it was released after the update to the Helix firmware. As for uninstalling HXN - it’s an audio units plug in for Logic and lives in the “components” folder, simply remove it. Here is the link to instructions on how to do it from Apple. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201199 Hope this helps/makes sense.
  11. Well, that maybe helpful to some, but what messes up that possible solution for some others is the simple fact that the first post in this thread is dated August 2019.
  12. Hi, Jumping from v2.3 to 2.9 means that your Helix will have to go through the routine where the Core Operating System (v2.80) of the HX family of products changes drastically and many people found that it appears that your hardware is not responding. Actually it is, although it can seem to take an extremely long time to do this. Your Globals will be reset by the Core changes so make sure that you have a backup, if needed. Anyhow, see both of the above posts regarding this issue, and also here is something I copied from another post I made regarding the offline way to install v2.92 Updated version of the notes posted previously for a Mac User, modified for a PC. O.K. go to the "DOWNLOADS" menu at the top of this page and from "-ALL HARDWARE-" select HELIX, then leave the "-ALL SOFTWARE-" as is, now select your PC Operating System from under the "-ALL OS-" tab. From the next page you can select the Firmware 2.92 Flash Memory for your Helix, then below that you will need the HX Edit 2.92. Now scroll further down the page a grab Line 6 Updater version 1.9. Download all these bits to your PC. If you have made any presets that you wish to keep then they need to be backed up using HX Edit prior to updating the Firmware. If everything if fine then proceed to next step. Ensure that HX Edit is closed and that you have your Helix connected to your PC by USB cable (do not use a hub) and launch the Updater Utility and select "Offline Mode". Your Helix and current firmware version should show in the window, click on the dark green coloured band and you should now have the option to select a local file - point it at the Flash Memory file you down loaded and let it get on with the update. Hope this helps/makes sense
  13. Hi, As you have already invested in the Helix LT, and now are going for some decent monitors, it may be wise to also clean up your electrical supply by adding a power conditioner to your shopping list.
  14. Have you been reading the leaked info TGP or Facebook?
  15. Hi Kiwifruit, O.K. Point taken. Maybe that should have read “commenting”, even though some threads do contain the usual, “why is Line 6 not responding?” statements. In the black banner, the second one down at the top of the page is the link explaining just that thing. I also realise that Native is not a toy and is an expensive piece of software and the frustration caused by not having it do what it should. I further appreciate that posting here is a way to find if others are suffering the same problems. It’s also a big help to all to know that users are making Customer Support aware of these issues. You have obviously done this and well done for that, but there does appear to be quite a lot of the “me too” brigade who don’t seem to follow up with a “I also raised a ticket on this” post. Which is the reason I stated: “If Native users haven’t, or are unable to supply a solution to this, then the best thing is report the issue”. It’s not meant as a dig at people who are struggling to get the plugin to work. It’s a reminder, because lots of people who come into these forums seeking assistance tend to go into “Line 6 bricked my computer” mode and fail to give any information about their equipment that might be a pointer to how to solve things. I guess I must be one of the lucky ones because I only ever had any minor problems with Native when it first came out (due to the thing wanting to “phone home” constantly). Lots of people did complain that an expensive bit of software was buggy, raised tickets and it got fixed. As someone said “It’s the squeaky wheel that gets the grease”. I do really hope that you get things sorted soon. Stay safe. BUMP!
  16. Ah! Now you mention it, that might be the case. Yes, I can possibly understand that idea, although it’s a bit of a first world problem, as noted by “fish95”. It’s just that there has been so much debate about a tuner in the HX Edit software, I jumped right in. Still, if that is the case, I think moving the FC board closer is one solution. And for others who really do want a tuner in the Editor, why not clip one on the headstock of your guitar or stick a Peterson Strobe into your iPhone instead, then they are always close by.
  17. Too late! Those other 500 posts like that have been and gone. (Mainly from “spikey” - paste "tuner in the editor" into the search at the top of the page - all the way back to 2016) T’aint gonna happen. Think about it logically - it’s an editor and librarian, it does not process any audio.
  18. Ha ha ha... Oh! where is “spikey” when you need him? Tuner in the editor - absolute classic! You must be kinda new around here.
  19. Good to know that you figured it out, but it would be a great help to other users if you cold inform all of us. There are many, many posts on here about “vanishing” presets and you maybe able to assist. TIA.
  20. If you have tried all the available factory reset options and it is still not working correctly, then you need to contact Customer Support and raise a ticket. Sorry I cannot help.
  21. That is weird - it looks like Native is opening inside another container window. Must be a Cakewalk thing. It doesn’t have any extra stuff surrounding it on a Mac. In fact the promo “hero shot” on the Line 6 Helix Native page shows it running inside Cubase on a MacBook. No extra grey/white window frame, only the regular black interface. Check it out: https://line6.com/helix/helixnative.html
  22. CUT AND PASTE FROM ANOTHER POST IN THIS FORUM There seems to be a whole bunch of people on this forum complaining about Native crashing in various DAWs. I don’t have a solution, but I do have a suggestion for one and all - please raise a ticket with Line 6 Customer Support. Unless they are made aware of this by people who have found a problem, then they cannot fix it. Line 6 staff generally do not monitor these forums, they are meant for user interaction. If Native users haven’t, or are unable to supply a solution to this, then the best thing is report the issue. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  23. I’m a little unclear as to what you are describing, because when using either HX Edit software or the HX Stomp unit, when you switch from one preset to another, the unit has to ditch one lot of settings and load in another fresh set up. It is a computer after all - a very specialised one, but still a computer. Snapshots were added to allow changes within a single preset to avoid such issues and trails were added to delay and reverbs to avoid them cutting off abruptly when switching Snapshots. I may be missing something and I’m not in the studio until tomorrow, but I think that’s the way it has always worked. I’ve been using a Helix floor for years and I have never regarded swapping from one preset to another being a problem. If you mean, when you swap to another preset, you no longer get any sound whatsoever, even when switching back to the one that was working before you switched, then that’s a whole different thing! After updating to v2.92 did you reset your Stomp and let it rebuilt the presets?
  24. That’s the way to go - studio monitors (even inexpensive ones) will be a world away from all that Dolby pumping, thumping cinema speaker system. Good move - have fun!
  25. The bundle (.hxf) is the flash memory file that you need to send to your Stomp via USB and using the Line 6 Updater Utility. XML is the markup language - don’t try opening the .hxf bundle
