  1. It's been suggested, and according to ideascale they are looking into it.... i think there's a good chance they will change it.
  2. try a reset on the DT50 first? pinch and hold the pentode and topology switches together, when you power on... once the lights flash and do their little dance release... the amp will be back to factory defaults try again... although the no lights thing on the interface sounds like a potential issue that doesn't have anything to do with the amp....
  3. no problem.... i like the ability to tweak my notes/velocities after the fact in midi myself.... but i'm still rocking a TD8 module, and superior drummer competes with the module quite nicely.
  4. well yeah... they aren't directly compatible... they do have different extensions... so you need to change the extension, use the converter program, or drag and drop.... but they will work... each of the pods have their own native extension, and that extension only works with the intended version of pod HD edit directly... so yeah... some extra steps... but you can use them.
  5. No, you cannot edit or interface with a computer in any way with the spider III amps.. you need a spider IV for that.
  6. yes. they should all work.
  7. yes you can use the line inputs, I use midi with my vdrums... i like all the options in post (ezdrummer, superior drummer, logic drummer, etc) but sometimes i also record the analog outputs for reference.

well the xt's and x3's both had issues with their power switches over time... but i could care less about a power switch.... i mean i have had tons of effects pedals that didn't have a power switch... i can use a strip if it's that big of deal to me personally... anyway... my opinion... carry on... if not this it's something else anyway :)
  9. depends on when the original owner registered it. you can for sure get the latest pod farm 1.x
  10. because some people think complicating their setup enhances their tone :D might be some minor difference in the sound that comes across, but i can make much bigger differences by twisting other knobs!
  11. get and install the drivers from m-audio's site for the uno... reboot if prompted... make sure that in goes to out and out goes to in (pay attention to labels... sometimes the are labeled "to midi in" rather than simply "midi out") get the latest version of monkey: http://line6.com/software/ i would recommend getting the flash file from that link also and doing flash from file... not required, but tends to be a little more reliable. if that doesn't work or you get any kind of error... try with only the mid out on the uno to the midi in on the DT amp...
  12. same pod farm version... different license. yeah just a better hardware interface with more inputs.. same software.
  13. won't matter either way with the UX8, it came with the platinum/gold license. (All model packs unlocked.)
  14. not really setup specs.. but here's the knowledgebase on it. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/guitars/james-tyler-variax-guitars/james-tyler-variax-general-faq-r31
  15. you don't really control it, you just get an amp that can handle your cab (or vice versa)
  16. probably doesnt mean that.... fuse blew for a reason.... basically to protect the rest of the electronics from whatever wasn't right..... most likely it's still not right...
  17. as long as you card has ASIO drivers available and installed, pod farm 2.5+ should see it. any earlier version of pod farm would require either line6 hardware or an ilok... but on the other hand, i don't think it needs to see your soundcard at all, if only using it as a plugin...
  18. there is no workbench software or other utilities... however there is a firmware update, so it probably should work through monkey... it should work with the interface as it has not changed.
  19. no idea when/if anyone that gives you an answer would only be guessing.
  20. you are not going to hear it over your macbook speakers.... if that's what you're trying to do.... you really need to use the same device for input AND output... meaning plug some headphones/speakers into the pod. if you do the workaround presented by costawhatever, expect some latency issues.
  21. nothing... if it's a bass pod XT, then it's not available to you or included (to my knowledge)
  22. Sounds like it would be useful to some... i personally never use the amp by itself... why limit myself to 4 configurations when i have a crazy amount available with the pod? (i worry more about good tone, rather than specific tone) if someone wants to take the time to put the information together, i'll gladly edit, format, repost, and pin to the top of the forums for others, it's just not something that i personally want to spend my time doing.
  23. worth a try, it's been a while since i tried.
