If you're having charging issues, please make sure you seat the transmitter completely into the receiver, otherwise the transmitter will not charge. For more details, see this article: Relay G10 FAQ

Relay G10 - another charging question

If you're having charging issues, please make sure you seat the transmitter completely into the receiver, otherwise the transmitter will not charge. For more details, see this article: Relay G10 FAQ We have designed the G10 transmitter to fit into almost any guitar. However, we anticipate that there will be some rare cases where the transmitter does not fit into a given guitar. If the G10 transmitter is inserted into your guitar and the transmitter's actuator pin is not engaged, the transmitter will not turn on, and the LED on the transmitter will not light up. In some rare cases, the guitar’s active electronics are wired with inverse polarity. In this scenario, the transmitter's electronics can go into a protection mode that keeps the system from being functional. This is evidenced by no output from the G10, even though the transmitter's light is on. We have found that a workaround to both of these issues is to use a mono-to-mono (TS-TS) Male to Female adaptor. More details and a troubleshooting procedure can be found at http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/live-sound/relay-digital-wireless/relay-g10-guitar-compatibility-fitelectronics-r817. If these issues affect you, we encourage you to post the following information so that we can better understand the scope of the issue and the effectiveness of the solution: Guitar manufacturer Guitar model Does it fit and turn on? Do you hear audio? Does the adaptor solution resolve the issue?

Relay G10/G10s Guitar Compatibility (Fit/Electronics)
Line6Tony posted a article in Relay G10 Digital Wireless
We have designed the G10T and G10TII transmitters to fit into almost any guitar. However, we anticipate that there will be some rare cases where the transmitter does not fit into a given guitar. If the G10T or G10TII transmitter is inserted into your guitar and the transmitter's actuator pin is not engaged, the transmitter will not turn on, the LED on the transmitter will not light up, and no signal is processed. In some rare cases, the guitars active electronics are wired with inverse polarity. In this scenario, the original G10T transmitter's electronics can go into a protection mode that keeps the system from being functional. This is evidenced by no output from the receiver, even though the transmitter's light is on. The new G10TII is designed to be electrically compatible with instruments using active pickups and preamps, without the need for an adapter. In some other cases, such as with the Line 6 Variax Acoustic 300, voltage can build up in the ring of the guitar's jack to the point of "tricking" the transmitter into thinking it is docked in the receiver and charging, also resulting in no audio output. Additionally, certain instruments may present a level of noise when their active circuitry is engaged and the transmitter is connected. We have found that a workaround to all of these issues is to use a mono-to-mono (TS-TS) Male to Female adapter, such as those shown below. The G10 transmitter is shown for scale. More details about the first two of these issues are included in the attached document. Troubleshooting procedure: Power the receiver with a USB power source. Insert the transmitter into the receiver (this will ensure that the transmitter and the receiver are set to the same channel). The LED on the transmitter should be Green or Green flashing. (If it is red flashing, the transmitter needs charging. Leave it in the receiver until the LED turns steady green. That indicates it is fully charged.) Insert the transmitter into the instrument's jack, turn up the volume control and play. If audio is not being transmitted to the receiver: A. The problem is mechanical if the LED on the transmitter is OFF when plugged into an instrument. B. The problem is electrical if the LED on the transmitter is ON, or FLASHING when plugged into an instrument Relay G10 Guitar Compatibility.pdf -

There are a number of products available to clean pots and faders. One is 99% Isopropyl. DeOxit D5 or one of the other Cramolin brand pot cleaners works well. Also, Tri Chem makes/made a plastic safe contact cleaner for pots and there's Blue Shower by Techspray, L.P. Pull the plastic knobs up first. Spray onto a cotton swab and let it drip down the shaft. Work the pot to work in the cleaner. Canned air is good for blowing dust off and getting the cleaner to dry quickly. Do not use WD40, that will just gunk up over time.

Do You Have The Same Problem With 6th String?
Line6Tony replied to chstd's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Hello, all. I'm sorry for the gap in messages. We are still working on it. It's turning out to be more complicated (because of a wide variety of factors) than anyone thought, and we do have to balance this work against new projects. A number of us have read the whole thread and have taken some of the resolutions you guys have found into account. Unfortunately, what we have tried so far has not produced satisfactory results consistently. We will continue to try to nail down the root cause. I will report here again when there is news worth sharing. Thanks for your patience. -
Issue: In some rare cases, connecting a supported device to unlock the LE feature set fails to work with Cubasis LE on iOS 8. Solution: Please restart Cubasis LE and make sure the included demo song properly plays back through the built-in speaker of your iPad. Afterwards, connect a supported device to unlock the LE feature set. If the unlock procedure keeps failing on iOS 8, please update your iPad device to iOS 9 and try again.

Like its predecessors, Windows 10 has a compatibility mode to allow users to run older programs written back when previous versions of Windows were the newest operating system. Right click on the app. Select "Properties". Click the Compatibility tab. Under the banner, a check box will appear next to the text "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" with the options in a drop down menu. The various Windows operating systems will appear, depending on the app. A more involved option is to install a virtual version of the old operating system of your choice (virtual machine or "VM") on your computer. This is different than dual-booting a computer, where the user divides/partitions the space on a single hard drive and installs a different operating system on each section, allowing the user to choose which OS is booted when the computer is powered on. The advantage with VM is the ability to run a program in the operating system that it was designed for in the first place. Windows 10 is compatible with Microsoft Virtual PC, a virtualization software that allows Windows users to run multiple versions of Windows, all the way back to Windows XP. This is a free download from the Microsoft Download Center. Microsoft provided a free copy of Windows XP to run in Windows 7 Pro. Pro versions of Windows 8.1 include Hyper-V to host alternative operating systems. Otherwise, Oracle's (formerly Sun's) VirtualBox and VMWare are some of the more common options available and are accessible for Windows, Mac and Linux users. Mac users can also use Boot Camp and Parallels to access alternate OS versions.

"Best of Custom Tone" was a static and somewhat random selection of tones from the CT database. We chose to drop it because the tone quality was hit or miss, many contained misspellings and in general was a poor proxy for the user experience we wanted. We encourage you to visit ideascale as suggested by jdonato (campaign is called "Bring back Customtone.com to Mobile Pod 2"). Product Management is actively involved in utilizing ideascale to implement features into our products.

Do You Have The Same Problem With 6th String?
Line6Tony replied to chstd's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Under certain conditions, piezo-based guitars may exhibit mechanical sitar-like string resonances at the piezo bridge. These resonances are also known as “plink tone†or “clang tone.†They are typically caused by piezo crystals that are not properly seated, but can also appear with some playing techniques, especially with lighter-gauge strings. Additionally, the setup of a guitar can also introduce or increase clang tone. We are aware of some James Tyler Variax guitars exhibiting this problem and we are currently investigating possible solutions. -
We discovered that there is a serial number mismatch on a group of Helix Rack units that will affect their ability to be registered. If your unit's serial number includes 6603-6607, please register the serial number label that is attached on the unit, not the serial number label attached to the box. If you run into further registration issues, please contact our support team with a support ticket at www.Line6.com/support/tickets. We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience.
