  1. Hey guys, my POD Farm 2 is constantly freezing after a few minutes of playing. I've tried it with the compatibiliy manager already, restarting the pc, checking out the licence monkey, i even installed it on another PC to see if the problem was my laptop, but it didn't change. I use Windows 10 Pro. The program just suddenly freezes, as well as the lights and signal of the device (I'm using the UX2) and sometimes the freeze comes with a scratchy or even high, distorted and loud noise. It's still possible to click around in the POD Farm - for example it also keeps working for a moment if i just change the input from "Mic" to "Instrument" for example. So it's not exactly the program freezing, but the function. I don't know. Does anyone have the same issue? I've tried to find answers here in the forum but couldn't find any. Please let me know if you have any guesses!! I really need that stuff to work out asap.. :/ Thank you!
  2. Hello there I recently purchased the Helix LT and I have been enjoying it both for playing at home, and for party gigs. I realised that I can practise in my room by connecting it through the USB, and play through my jbl LSR305 monitors, which really sounds great, and also gives convenient parameter control through the HX edit software. A recurring error is however stifling my enthusiasm. When I've been playing for say 5-10 minutes, the Helix freezes and becomes unresponsive. In the HX edit software it disconnects from the device, and refuses to recognise that the helix is still connected. The sound goes through unaltered, but I can now no longer change parameters, and to access this again I have to reboot the pedal (discarding possible changes). This is really problematic, as it essentially removes the functionality that I want from the pedal, and googling it has yielded no results. Does anyone have similar experiences? My specs are: Helix LT is running v2.54.0 firmware. 13'' MacBook pro running high sierra 10.13.5 HX edit v. 2.52 playing through Logic Pro X v. 10.2.0 Best, Jonas
  3. How can I get the electro harmonix freeze effect in pod go? on my previous boss ME25 pedalboard I had this effect which I used quite a bit. Thank you
  4. Hey everyone, I hope all of you are doing well in this ongoing pandemic and you are at a safe place right now! Recently, I set up a Ableton Live 11 Project with Songs, where I want to play guitar to for live gigs. In order to have the right snapshots in the right moment, I created midi clips that send over Midi control -> 69 Hold Pedal 2 signals to my Helix that are changing the snapshots. I also added clips where it changes the presets via program and sub. I set up the midi base channel to 7 because I read somewhere I shouldn't use the standard base one. I also turned off Midi PC Send and additionally I set up the snapshots to 1, 5 and 8 in order to avoid potential failure signals, because they might be too close to each other. Problem A: I tried it with usb, but my usb connection sometimes interrupts, thats why I use a midi connection. However, this is working until the 3rd scene in my Ableton project starts playing, then it doesn't adjust to the right snapshot in the preset (which is just a duplicate from the first one). For instance, it changes to Preset 1-> Snapshot 1 but it should be Preset 1 -> Snapshot 8. Problem B: When I play a bit with it and I change the scenes manually, it changes the right snapshots or presets but at one point my Helix is freezing. My setup is a MacBook Pro 2019, Mac OS Catalina and a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 1st generation and the Helix Version is 3.01.0. If you need any further details, please tell me and thanks in advance to somebody who is helping me with this issue! Best regards Fabian
  5. Happened with every firmware version. After some use, when moving a block in hx edit crashes the connection with the helix fx, the unit freezes. Then i have to reboot the unit to reconect. No usb hub. Is this a known issue?
  6. For the 2nd time in a year I cannot boot my M20D. When I fire it up, first the Line6 logo appears for a moment and then the screen with the spinning boot-up icon appears. I left it on for about 30 minutes and it never resolved booting, it just remains on the boot screen with the spinning logo. I shut it off, waited about 10 seconds, then tried again. Same deal. I tried 4 times, over about 2 hours, to get the M20D to boot. I tried with and without the SD card plugged in. I am not using wireless and am powering the unit through a nice power conditioner. I am on firmware 1.20. I have about 8 mics plugged into the unit, where they have been plugged in for about 4 months without ever having been removed. It has booted up just fine in this configuration twice a week for the last 4 months. Has anyone else had their M20D get stuck while booting up? Any known remedies for this issue?
  7. Hi all, This is more of a heads up, as I have a resolution (of sorts) to my issue. Like many, I made the jump recently from F/W 2.92 to 3.00. I'm not normally an early adopter but recent firmware updates had gone well and so I deviced to have a leap of faith. The update itself went without hitch, but I soon ran into issues whilst using a 1SW Looper (the problem may also relate to the 6SW, etc., but I've not tested). As a relative newbie to playing guitar, my setup is incredibly simple, so nothing I'm doing is likely to be taxing the HX Effects unit too heavily. In fact, in this paticular case my setup simply included a Bass Octaver, Analog Flanger, Minotaur, Plate Reverb, LA Studio Compressor and a single switch looper (all on a single path). My problem is that recording a 4 bar loop causes the HX effects to hang. I'm unable to end the loop and all switches and buttons cease to function; my only option being to power off the device. I thought it may be an issue carried over from previous settings, so I performed a factory reset. Initially, I restored (only) my Presets, but as the problem persisted, I conducted a second factory reset and setup the pedals fresh. No difference, the unit still hangs. I've managed to resolve my issue by reverting to 2.92 (which works perfectly), but this isn't ideal. I can't think what else to try at this stage and/or I'm not sure what additional information is needed to help troubleshoot. Anyway, as I said, this is more of a heads up (for others who may be suffering the same issue). If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. Also, I'm happy to provide additional information and/or conduct tests if it will prove beneficial. Regards Jack.
  8. Twice this week my Helix Rack and Control froze and wouldn't change presets. Once during a rehearsal, and last night during a performance. Only thing that fixed it was powering off and then on. Not sure if it was same preset that froze or not. But I do know that the rack and control both read different presets. Signal was still coming through so I was able to finish song, but why would it be freezing like that? I'm on latest firmware. I have 2 Helix Mission expression pedals plugged in to control. Any Ideas? I'm using all tones I've created and maybe 1 or 2 custom patches from other people, with IR's. I've read about the "rebuild all presets" feature but not sure what that does or if it would fix this particular bug. Thanks
  9. Hi guys, Have recently started using the Helix LT for my live rig and there is one thing I haven't been able to figure out. Withmy old setup I had a freeze pedal at the end of my chain so that I could ring out the last chord of a song between guitar change overs etc. The Helix doesn't have a freeze type pedal so was trying to patch in my actual freeze pedal. I am facing the following problems: I run a stereo rig, with one head and cab going to left FOH and another going right FOH via XLR. I use Send 1 in a stereo send block to my onstage power amp for stage sound, I don't use a mono send as this bounces down my stereo path. If I use Send 2 of the send block block to the freeze and then return into return 1 of a stereo return block this will send the freeze pedal to the left cab only which is ok, but when the freeze pedal is turned off I am sending the dry signal back through the path which messes with the tone / volume. Using the FX loop would work better but as it's a mono pedal, when it returns I only get signal through one side of the chain. Any suggestions on how I can patch this in successfully? Hoping a freeze type pedal is incorporated into the Helix soon! Cheers, Patrick
  10. Hey guys I'm trying to plug my helix control into my helix rack unit but it doesn't seem to want to communicate. Every time I hook up the Control the helix tells me to update the control inorder for it to work; as soon as I press CANCEL or OK my entire unit Freezes. Any thoughts on how I can update my Control Pedal?
  11. I have the most current firmware and software for the Helix pedal. I have noticed that the pedal will randomly freeze up and will not allow me to change patches, use any of the buttons/switches/pedals. I can continue playing, but the only way to get control back is to power off the Helix. Yes, I followed the directions on the Line6 site regarding the proper way to do the firmware upgrade... :) I also reset the pedal to the factory settings and re-done the most current firmware update, same issue. Your help is appreciated...scott
  12. Hello friends I'm new here and I don't know whether I write in right topic or not I have a UX2 interface for 3 years and I have some problems with it. I use it for arranging music Sometimes when I use some VSTs, audio drops and after closing and reopening DAW (cubase or sonar), it can't detect ASIO UX2 and I must restart computer Other problem is that many times when I unplug and plug its USB, windows freezes and I must reset it. why unpluging interface must cause problems? I update my drivers via line 6 monkey Must I change my interface? This is my computer's features: CPU: Core i5 4440 RAM: 4*4 (16) GB Motherboard: Asus H97 Pro Windows 7 x64 Thanks
  13. Please be aware that downloaded tones, patches and presets that were created by other users have the potential to be corrupted and not work correctly on the target device. Firewall/Antivirus/Internet security applications, Internet/video accelerators and proxy servers, among other things, can be causes of trouble with downloaded files. If your device freezes, a rule of thumb is to back up your custom patches, reset the unit to its factory state, ensure the unit does not freeze while in this state, then load your patches one by one, testing after each load to determine which patch is faulty. Otherwise, please contact our Customer Support team at www.Line6.com/support/tickets. Please be prepared to supply your backup file so that we can investigate your case further.
  14. Another lockup tonight I was doing some hands free editing of the mix parameter of the simple delay and it just froze on me I raised a ticket about this before but you just autoclosed it with the usual upgrade the firmware message Well I've gone from .2 to .3 What now?
  15. Dear all, I have had my Pod HD500 from new for a number of years now. Up until the last few weeks it has been working flawlessly. However...... Recently it has started freezing/crashing. To start with it would do it when changing between two particular patches so I figured it was something about the patches it didn't like. I reflashed the firmware and started again and everything was OK for a couple of weeks. Now it freezes when I switch it on. All the lights and the screen light up as they should, however none of the buttons work and I get no sound from it at all. It's also worth noting that the LED on the Tap footswitch is on constantly rather than blinking. Today I have noticed that while the unit is frozen if I start HD Edit sometimes it will come out of the freeze and start working, however then when I close HD Edit it freezes again. I have the unit connected to my PC via USB and also MIDI as I use the pedals start backing tracks in iTunes. Any ideas? Regards, Rob
  16. We've found that tones created while using the original 1.01 firmware can sometimes be corrupted, regardless if they are new or downloaded tones. This results in the device locking up, with a factory reset being needed for recovery (press and hold the Master Volume knob and the TAP button as you power up the unit). Firmwares at version 1.10 or later resolves this issue. Tones created in version 1.10 or later can no longer be corrupted like they would have under version 1.01. However, corrupted tones created in version 1.01 are still problematic when used in Firehawks updated to later firmware versions. We encourage those encountering this issue to update to the latest firmware via the Line 6 Updater software, then perform a factory reset. Please note that any tones not backed up to My Tones prior to a reset will be lost (corrupted tones cannot be uploaded because they crash the unit and thus can't be selected for uploading).
  17. Hey, I made this post because this is something I have been having troubles with over 3-4 years. I have had many problems with the toneport UX2 version (I work with a windows 7 64 bit system). But two problems have never gone away: a crackling popping sound after X number of seconds and after a couple of hours it would crash and freeze my volume, making me restart the computer. In my case I noticed that the crackling sound may appeared when I was doing something on windows. After searching a lot of forums I found a program that could analyze the DPC latency of a system: go here http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml It will give you information if your system can handle real-time audio/video service. By disabling devices in device manager one after another, I had found my problem for the crackling sound. After disabling my ethernet driver it dropped right into green and I have never heard a crackling sound again. After a day the volume bar hasn't crashed either. After research I think this comes because windows cannot handle a continues data stream over USB. This comes from a security update with a bug. You can try to restart the audio service through CMD with the following commands: net stop audiosrv net stop AudioEndpointBuilder net start audiosrv net start AudioEndpointBuilder The idea is that you don't have to restart your computer but just your audio drivers. I'm just really happy that I can listen to music without ANY crackling/popping noise and just enjoy this good audio card. I hope I helped some people with this, because it sure did help me. Bye!
  18. Have two Vettas. (Wolf now only has one!!) 1. 2.03 unmodified with all of my patches backed up none of them with anything Armin on. 2. 2.05 with Armin's toolkit. I wish to use my bulk patch backup from amp 1 to load on amp 2. Can I? Have read horror stories of edit freezing Vettas when working with patches BUT IS THIS JUST PATCHES WITH ARMIN'S CABS IN??? Would consider just reloading 2.5 without Armin but monkey appears not to see any firmware since Line 6 have removed it although I have a copy of 2.5. Have also read that Edit 3 and Armin's toolkit cause freezes; this appears catastrophic to me if there is no way of reinstalling unmodified firmware. Answers need not necessarily be on a postcard but it would be great to hear from someone who has experience of the issues involved and sorted them. I am assuming Armin himself is nowhere to be found?! Thanks in advance for your help. Mike.
  19. I've owned my M13 for 2 years now and I absolutely love it.. My favorite multi-fx unit by far. I've never had any problems with it (besides replacing the power adapter 1 week ago) until yesterday. I went to band practice and rigged my M13 up like usual and turned it on and everything was acting normal as usual but when I plugged my guitar and started playing the weirdest things started happen.. 1.) The M13 doesn't give me any fx at all ! If I turned on the delay = no delay.. If I turned the distortion = no distortion.. If I turned on the chorus = no chorus. You get the point... Whatever FX I put on the M13 would just give me a clean signal.. The FX shows up on the LCD screens like usual and M13 showes them like they are ON but I only get a clean signal. The M13 looks like it's working just right but it doesn't produce any effects at all. 2.) Every time I change effects my signal dropps out for about 1 second and these terrible clicks and pops follow when the signal gets back in.. And when the signal comes back in it's always a clean signal. It never adds the effects I turn on to the signal. I've tried 3 different guitars, 3 different amps, 6 different jack cables, 2 brand new Line 6 power adapters and the unit in 3 different houses but the it's always the same. I only get clean signal from it, no effects whatsoever. I always connect my amp to the mono output on the M13 and then from the mono M13 input to my guitar. I had the 2.04 firmware installed when this happened and I did a factory reset hoping it would fix the problem but it didn't. I've already sent the unit for repairs to the guy here in Iceland that's working for the company that sells Line 6 products but he already told me that he doesn't believe he can fix this.. He said it must have something to do with the digital part inside (the computer) and he isn't able to fix that. So what should I do ? Can you guys think of any solutions or fixes for this problem ? - Fannar
