  1. Hi there, I have the following setup (excuse the sad ASCII art): PC ---USB---> HX Guitar---------> Stomp ---> Headphones So basically PC and guitar into the stomp and headphones out. I want to use the Stomp as a soundcard so I can jam to tracks, youtube lessons etc. (note I'm not using a DAW or anything on the PC, so am not sending any audio from the stomp to the PC) With the Stomp, there is a 5 - 10 second delay when playing any sound from the PC (e.g. playing an mp3, watching a video). Once playing it is OK, but once I pause,. pick a different videos etc the delay comes back. It's almost as if the USB connection goes to sleep and needs to wake up. I can play audio via my Yamaha THR10c amp (also connected via USB) and it works fine, without any delay. So I think this is something Stomp or driver specific and not related to my PC (note the Stomp and THR10c are not powered on at the same time so shouldn't conflict). Has anyone any idea how I might resolve this? Details: - Windows 10 64-bit - Stomp firmware 2.71 - Control panel shows 1. Line 6 > HX Stomp - Driver Provider Line 6, Driver version 1.0.0.0, Date 09/01/2018 2. Audio inputs and outputs > Speakers (HX Stomp) - Driver Provider: Microsoft, Driver version 10.0.17134.1, Date 11/04/2018 - HX Stomp is the default device in Sound > Palback - Using the cable provided with the stomp into a rear USB 2.0 port - Ryzen 5 CPU and B350 motherboard Thanks!
  2. Hello, I have the POD Farm UX2. Whenever I open pod farm and go to "mixer view" and choose "Mic 1", there is no sound or anything detected from it. I checked the license manager and everything is authorized on my UX2 and computer. Is there anything I missed or can do to fix it? It worked fine previously on an old computer, now on a new one it does not. Everything worked fine previously on Windows 7, then after doing a fresh install for Windows 10 and downloading it, I am having issues. Extra Info & Screenshots: - Microphone being used: Audiotechnica AT2035 (I do have the +48V enabled) - Yes, all my drivers are updated according to L6 Monkey - Using Windows 10 - My UX2 is authorized in the license manager - I tried multiple USB slots and reinstalls with the same issue. Microphone not detected screenshot below Thanks for the help
  3. Hi, I tried to connect with Line 6 Monkey Version 1.72 to my pocket POD. But here is no pocket POD in the dropdown box of the devices... Must I use another, compatible device? Thx!
  4. Just spent a few frustrating days trying to get Line 6 usb drivers for Helix and Variax to load successfully. Admittedly I hadn't connected either to my PC for a while, so a lot could have changed in that time. To cut a long story short, the resolution for me has been to turn off Memory integrity in Core isolation in the Windows Defender Security Centre. Neither my audio interface nor phone had problems, so in my limited sample set only the Line 6 drivers were struggling. Is this a known phenomenon? Should the drivers load with Memory integrity enabled? In both cases the drivers are the current versions (1.91.0.0 and 1.0.7.2 for Helix and Variax respectively). I tried earlier Helix drivers but they had the same problem. My OS is Windows 10 Home, Version 1803.
  5. For anyone who is unsure of whether you can use the legacy Variax guitars under Windows 10, I can confirm that you can. I went to the download section and just selected Windows 8 as the OS and downloaded Line 6 Monkey and Workbench (non HD version), ran the installers, hooked up my Variax USB Interface and Variax 500 and everything worked perfectly first time. I had no issues with Java or the installation on the drivers. This statement is valid as of April 2018
  6. Hello, I'm using Podfarm on Windows 10 with Ableton Live 8, using a Toneport UX2 interface. When I open Podfarm as a standalone program, I can hear the input and wet signals no problem. However, when I open up Ableton and drag the Podfarm VST onto a track, the podfarm vst pops up but I see no signal into it (from the mixer in Podfarm). To be clear I am getting a signal from my guitar in Ableton (into the audio track), but it is simply the dry signal from the toneport input, unaffected by the Podfarm VST. I can apply Ableton's built in Amps to the track no problem, but the Podfarm Vst doesn't seem to affect the signal. I have tried starting Ableton first right after a restart (just in case opening the standalone grabbed the soundcard and didn't let Ableton use it), but still the problem persists. Thanks guys! Let me know if I need to clarify anything.
  7. I have a (now vintage) POD 2 purchased in 2003. It still works great, but I would like to interface it with my Windows 10 PC for downloading and editing tones. The Line 6 FAQ for POD 2 talks about software called "Line 6 Edit," but I can't find any such software on the Line 6 downloads. Also, I'm assuming I'll need a USB to MIDI hardware interface; recommendations? So here's my question: How do I connect my POD 2 to a Windows 10 PC for tone editing? And what software do I use? Thanks.
  8. Hi Line 6 forum, My question is: Has anyone been able to successfully connect the Razer Sieren Pro with the UX2? If yes, How is this achieved? I've unboxed from new and fully installed PODFarm v2.59 & Line 6 Monkey/ Authorized my UX2 to my PC. My objective is to use the UX2 and PODFarm as a voice morphing/ changer for creative gaming purposes. The Razer Sieren Pro has three outputs: USB, Headphone/ AUX female jack and a DMX 5-pin output with a Y split XLR adaptor cable (one 5-pin into two 3-pin). The Razer Sieren Pro works correctly when connected directly to the PC, however the PODFarm voice morphing software doesn't transmit out through the Microphone. I've browsed many forums and tutorials and have tried the basic adjustments i;e: Adjusted the UX2 dials and enabling the phantom +48V button, tried multiple UX2 line/ microphone ports/ inputs/ outputs with the above mentioned cable/ AUX cable and also an aftermarket adaptor cable (one 5-pin to one 3-pin) , changing the PODFarm mixer INPUT: Mic 1 and tried the various other inputs, enabling UX2 as default through Windows 10 sound settings and disabling all other audio and recording inputs/ outputs. Still no success. Any clarity or result would be much appreciated, cheers.
  9. Hi. I use the red Toneport UX2 as my soundcard on a Windows 10 PC. If I start m the machine, sometimes the device will not be recognized by the system. The meters stay dark, and the LEDs are blinking alternately. I then pull the USB cable and reconnect it again, which usually works. What bugs me more is, that the Toneport shuts down without visible reason. The sound suddenly turns off mid Windows session, the meters on the device go dark and clip LEDs start blinking. If I'm in a game, (Overwatch) the PC gets heavy performance lags after additional 30 seconds and finally freezes. I tried reinstalling drivers and software, but that didn't help. I have the feeling it has to do with the USB ports, or maybe the connector cables. Has anyone had similar experiences? regards Michael
  10. For all of those who, like me, are waiting for the native Windows Amplifi Remote App: there is a way to run the Android version on windows and /or OS X systems. :) Install the latest version of VirtualBox and the matching extension package (Free) and create a virtual machine running the latest version of Android that is available as x86 ISO package. Than use you google account to get the Amplifi app from Google Play and you are all done. There is one glitch: it might be that this is not working with your built in Bluetooth hardware and in that case you have to disable it and use a USB bluetooth dongle. (To get ANdroid running I mainly followed the recipe given in this blog: http://www.fixedbyvonnie.com/2014/02/install-android-4-4-kitkat-windows-using-virtualbox/ Thanks Vonnie!) I currently have it running on a windows 8.1 tablet (EP121) and PC. I was running the app uptil now on my Minix TV Box. Allthough it was rather cool to have the largest guitar tuner in the world on my 40" TV Screen, the none-portability of my TV is less practical. But for you who did not think of it directly (like me): there is a good chance that your TV Box runs Android and you canb simply ionstall the app on it. I am also testing on a MacBook Air.(Here disabling the internal BlueTooth needs some hard core tweaking as Apple has drifted far away form it's open approach of the legendary Apple i and II for which they even supplied the source code of the bios in the manual). And once more: dear LINE 6 People. Surprise us with a native windows app. You will not only make your windows eco system users very happy! Not only that, but you also will be rewarded soon with a huge possible increase in fanbase as your Windows 10 App will work on Windows Tablets, Windows Desktops, WIndows Phones (from cheapest of $70 to the Apple 6 rivals costing half of what Apple charges), Windows TV Boxes, WIndows Remote Controls, Windows Foot Pedals and WIndows Washing Machines for all I care, as the windows 10 kernel will be the SAME for all these devices. This also means that Windows Apps can and will not be ignored anymore by the global app makers (including you) as up til now. So I hope that you are already on it and, in trademark Line 6 style, will surprise us unanounced with a native Windows app next week. And if not: please get moving!
  11. Hi there, I use my POD HD 500 as sound interface and it's been a few weeks I'm experiencing this issue: by no apparent reason the sound goes off and the only way I've found to fix this is to restart the computer (I tried disabling / re-enabling the POD as an audio interface, unplugging and plugging it again, both power and USB, nothing happens). If i'm listening to something in Youtube or Winamp, the player stops and can't play further, but strangely, if I'm working in Reaper (using ASIO drivers), I can still play things normally inside it. I have no clue why this is happening, it's the same Windows install for a while, although I'm guessing it's something to do with some recent Windows update maybe. Is there anybody else having this problem? My specs: POD HD 500 Windows 10 Pro x64 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 4 Gb RAM ddr3 1600 Asus m4a89td GeForce 260GTX 1Tb HD* All drivers / softwares / firmware are up-to-date in Line6 Monkey. * I have only 5Gb left in my Windows partition, need to fix this, but I don't really see how this can cause the audio problem Thanks in advance
  12. I need help ! i have a Acer One 10 detachable Tablet/ Computer , with windows 10 , my line 6 ux1 connects fine but when sound is played from anything whether music or computer videos , the sound comes out as a slow motion , grindy , ugly sound , i need help to get this fixed ! please
  13. Alright, so I found the culprit as to why you may have no sound in Windows 10 with your Line 6 interface. There is a setting in Power options for Win10 called "USB selective suspend setting" -- What this does is it puts all USB devices that are idle in a low power state to conserve power. Now, assuming your interface is USB powered, this setting will cause issues for your interface. To turn this setting off you need to navigate to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options. Here's how to get there. Right-click the Windows button in the bottom-left corner and click Power Options. A new window will appear. Click "Additional power settings". A new window will appear. Click "Change plan settings" under your preferred power plan. Click "Change advanced power settings". A new window will appear. Collapse "USB Settings" and then "USB selective suspend setting". Set it from Enabled to Disabled. Click OK, done. To Line 6: just a friendly suggestion...if you release a new driver, make sure the new driver communicates with this setting so even if it's Enabled it won't affect our interfaces. Thank you.
  14. Greeting folks, having just bought my first DAW (PreSOnus Studio One), i proceeded to link my PC up to the M20d; sadly, Windows does discover the M20d and lists it in the general Devices list...however it does not complet the initialization properly, and does not elect it to be an Audio Device. Rebooted both, disconnected, reconnected...something's missing in my Windows install...any similar case in here ? M20d is running the latest SW 1.20. Appreciate any hints! Alberto
  15. So I really hope you guys can help me with this, cause I've had this problem for years now. I have a POD Studio UX2 connected to a computer with Windows 10. I have the latest drivers installed, 4.2.7.6. However, on occasion, randomly, the audio would just cut out, and entering the Sound config of my computer, it would tell me that audio enhancements on the device were causing problems. So when I unplug and plug back in the UX2, both clip lights alternate blinking, and the only way I can fix it is to restart the computer. I have already tried reinstalling drivers. Thanks.
  16. I'm getting random pops and short distortion during playback on my UX2. Worked fine on a previous laptop, now it's hard to listen to anything as it generates short noises or sound drop outs randomly. No issue with recording - apparently this only affects the output, both on headphones and line out. I think I have tried everything I could find on this forum - went through the faq on this site, tried connecting to powered hub (normally it's connected directly to the laptop), changed power plan to high performance, connected to different USB port, turned off all other background tasks, turned off wifi, disabled onboard sound card, removed all other USB devices, changed all the ASIO settings in every possible configuration... I'm really running out of ideas here. I have seen posts on this issue - many are unresolved and whatever worked for the others have zero effect in my situation. The UX2 worked fine on my old laptop (5 year old Alienware), but that was on Windows 7. So it is probably UX2 not liking the new Dell XPS or Windows 10, but what exactly is the issue? No clue. Does anybody have any ideas different than what I have already mentioned?
  17. Hello, I wanted to bring attention to my current issue with my UX1. Basically when I load in the audio from my microphone, there's a loud static noise made with it. I made a video to hear it: If anyone knows how to help it would be much appreciated, thank you.
  18. Hey Everyone, I've been trying to get assistance out of Line 6 but it has been about as productive as asking a brick wall to sort out my drama's so I thought I'd give this a shot. Recently bought a new laptop (Dell Inspiron 15 7000) and for some reason whenever I open POD Farm all other audio is muted. I have the UX2 selected as the playback device and all audio plays through the device until I open POD Farm. As soon as I open the app all external audio stops and even if I hit play in iTunes or Guitar Pro there is silence. If I close POD Farm the audio cuts back in. I have looked through settings in POD Farm and can't seem to find anything. Never had this drama previously with an old crappy HP laptop. Basically just want to be able to jam to some songs whilst playing but it seems I can only have one audio source playing. I am using the Tone direct drivers and not ASIO4ALL. Have tried using ASIO4ALL but the audio doesn't come through as clear and seems like there is a higher latency. Anyone ever had this drama?
  19. Ive tried several different methods that I've found on the forums, FAQs, Knowledge Base, ect, and I cannot for the life of me get my Helix Rack to connect to my laptop. I went into the device manager and it shows the Helix in several places, as it should, but the Updater says that the transmitter failed, no matter if I try having the Helix on and plugged into a USB port before I power up the computer, or if I plug the Helix in while the computer is already on, or whatever. I went through the device manager and right clicked on the helix in each place it was listed and clicked on the "update driver" option. I made sure that the computer was set to automatically update drivers. But if I go into "this PC", it doesn't show the Helix at all. I did a global reset too, no joy. My Helix is still running version 1.06.5, do I have to maybe use an earlier updater and do the updates in order, or should jumping ahead to the current version 2.20 work? Also, I've read that Helix units don't get along with some USB hubs. When I was looking around in the device manager, it appears that this laptop has nothing but hubs. Could that also be one of my problems? Thanks in advance. :)
  20. Hi all. I recently upgraded to WIndows 10 and have tried to get my X3 live to work as an ASIO device inside Cubase 5.1.2. It works fine stand alone in Gear box but when selectiing the device in audio manager in Cubas I get a BSOD. I have the latest drivers installed. Line 6 Monkey 1.72 X3 Live drivers 4.2.7.6 The computer is an ASUS ROG GL752VW Win 10 64-bit 16GB RAM The windows installation is an upgraded windows 8 installation. (It was delivered like that from the reseller) Could the be the issue? Idon't want to re-install windows if I don't have to. Thanks in advance. //Niklas
  21. Hello everyone, I'm here to ask if it is safe to upgrade to windows 10 and my X3 will work; I've read of people having trouble with W10 so, to this day, have all those problems been fixed? by the way, do I need to uninstall everything from line 6, upgrade and then install again the proper drivers and all? thank you! pod x3's still an awesome tool!
  22. I have Windows 10 and have been using my UX2 without issue for a while now. But this week, my UX2 suddenly stopped working. My computer doesn't recognize it and when I plug it in, the red clip lights blink alternately. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers as well as Line 6 Monkey and the license manager. Line 6 Monkey still tells me that drivers are not installed after multiple re-installs and doesn't recognize that it's connected. Any help out there?
  23. Ive recently recieved a pod xt live as a gift and after hours of research cant seem to find anything about downloading patches using windows 10. I know that you need to use line 6 edit to save and move patches to the pod but the line 6 software page says that line 6 edit is not available for windows 10. So is there any possible for me to download custom tones to my pod xt live with windows 10?
  24. Hello, my Line 6 UX2 has suddenly stopped working. I had had intermittent problems with it but it worked fine for a week or so, and suddenly stopped receiving any input from any of my guitars, all of which are working perfectly with my amplifier. If I set up my UX2 as a default playback device in the Windows mixer and play audio, the needle moves but all I hear through the UX2s headphone jack is a high pitched whine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Pod Farm 2, the latest drivers, and toggling settings in the Windows mixer. I have also tried the device on multiple computers, my two desktops and my laptop, all running Windows 10. Line 6 license manager authorises the UX2 and my computers fine. I have tried setting different inputs in the Line 6 control panel applet but still, it is not working. Is there anything I can do?
  25. Hello everybody. I have the following problem. I have an old toneport UX1 (the Red/black one) and I have used it on various windows releases from XP till 7, and on various DAWs, last of all Reaper, always managing to install the right drivers and record, play etc etc.. Two months ago I updated to windows 10 and it was then that I experienced a seemingly critical problem, that I couldn't solve. Even with the latest drivers I can't hear no sound in reaper, I can't record no more, I no longer can use my device. This is really disappointing since the device is fully functional and I don't want to throw it away. I tried with all the buffering and sample options. No Way. While Reaper recognise the drivers, the playback bar gets stuck and the software often crashes... Does anybody have the same problem or knows the solution?
