  1. We have tested and found no issues with POD Express, Catalyst, Spider Remote, AMPLIFi, Firehawk and Mobile POD applications on iOS 17.5.1 [iPhone 11 or better] and iOS 17.5.1 [iPad M1 or better]. Sonic Port works on iOS 17.5.1 [iPhone 11], but is untested on iOS 17.5.1 [iPad M1] (although we expect it to work). Sonic Port VX works on iOS 17.5.1 [iPhone 11] and iOS 17.5.1 [iPad M1]. Also, please note that a Lightning-USB-C adapter is needed for using POD Express with POD Express Edit. We suggest using an Apple-branded adapter for best results.
  2. A few days ago I had to change my phone, since the previous one no longer charged the battery. To my surprise, the application of the Firehawk FX does not work with the new phone anymore, apparently due to incompatibility with the new version of Android. This is really frustrating, the application gave access to all its parameters quickly and intuitively. Without it, working with the pedal board is very complicated. I understand that it may seem unprofitable for Line 6 to make the effort to maintain an application for a discontinued product, but for users, the app is essential, and if there's no update, you get an angry user with a product that makes him unhappy. Why make life more complicated for us, the users? Why not offer solutions that benefit us all? You could, for example, develop paid updates for discontinued products. Let's say you offer the ability to get Firehawk FX upgrades for a reasonable price profitable for the Line 6 development effort, and not too expensive for us, the users. I would update gladly, paying to be able to continue using my pedal board along with my mobile phone. On the other hand, if you develops a PC version of this pedalboard's soft, I would be happy to acquire a license to use it. Please think about it. Surely I'm not the only user frustrated for not being able to have the app of the Firehawk FX working, and surely like me, there will be many who would pay a reasonable price for an update. All the best.
  3. We are pleased to announce the release of Line 6 Central, our new device management platform. The modern user interface in Line 6 Central brings a simple and clear experience for keeping all your compatible Line 6 gear updated with the latest firmware. The refined workflow in Line 6 Central walks you through the steps required to update your device. This new platform is built on the latest architectures, bringing improved security and seamless operating system integration. Using Line 6 Central is fairly similar to using our previous updater apps Line 6 Updater and Line 6 Monkey. We encourage Line 6 Updater and Line 6 Monkey users to try Line 6 Central for keeping their compatible devices up to date. Otherwise, please continue using the latest version of the applicable software to update your hardware. Please know that Line 6 Central does not replace any of our editor/librarian apps. We still strongly suggest using these apps to back up your presets and settings before updating your firmware. If Line 6 Central gains backup capabilities at any point, we will provide information regarding when and how to transition between apps. The current version of Line 6 Central is compatible with the following device families: Helix (Helix, Helix Rack, Helix LT) HX (HX Effects, HX Stomp, HX Stomp XL, HX One) POD Go (POD Go, POD Go Wireless) Catalyst (60/100/200) DL4 Mk II Spider V (20/30/60/120/120HC/30 MkII/60 MkII/120 MkII/120HC MkII) FBV 3 Relay G70/G75 Relay G10 (G10/G10S/G10T/G10TII) AMPLIFi (30/75/150/FX/TT) Firehawk (FX/1500) POD HD500 (HD500/Pro/Bean/500X/Pro X) James Tyler Variax (59/69/89), Variax Standard, Shuriken (Cannot use Helix as interface) POD Studio (UX1/UX2/GX) Toneport (UX1/UX2/GX/DI) Variax (300/600/500/700/VDI) Support for Powercab will be coming soon. "Please Relaunch" Error Message The Line 6 Central app cannot be run as administrator on any Windows system. If you experience this error message, we suggest you go to the root .exe file (C:/Program Files (x86)/Line 6/Line 6 Central), right click it, select “Properties”, and uncheck “Run this program as an admin” located in the Compatibility tab. We encourage you to contact our Support Staff if you run into any other issues with Line 6 Central.

A: AMPLIFi’s high performance 5 speaker stereo design can stream Bluetooth audio from nearly any Android device, iOS device, and Mac® or PC equipped with Bluetooth. Q: How do I pair my Bluetooth device with AMPLIFi? A: To pair the AMPLIFi with your Bluetooth device: Enable Bluetooth on the device you would like to stream audio from. Put the AMPLIFi into ‘Pairing Mode’ by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button located on the upper left of the top panel - it will begin to flash to indicate it is in ‘Pairing Mode’. Within the Bluetooth options of your device an entry for ‘AMPLIFi’ will appear. Select the ‘AMPLIFi’ entry and pair with it - the Bluetooth LED will stop flashing and become solidly lit blue. Your AMPLIFi now ready stream audio from your device wirelessly. Q: Which specific Android devices are supported by AMPLIFi Remote? A: After updating the AMPLIFi 75/100/FX100 firmware to 2.0 or better, AMPLIFi Remote is compatible with the following Android devices: Samsung Galaxy S5 Samsung Galaxy S4 Samsung Galaxy S III Samsung Galaxy Note Pro Samsung Galaxy Note II HTC One M8 HTC One M7 Motorola Moto X Google Nexus 7 Amazon Kindle Fire HDX ASUS MeMo Pad ME176CX Asus Fonepad ASUS PadFone LG G2 LG Optimus LG F7 LG Nexus 4 Generally speaking, although not qualified, nearly any Android phone, tablet or phablet will work, provided it is able to run the required Android OS version. Q: What Apple® iOS devices is AMPLIFi Remote compatible with? A: AMPLIFi Remote requires iOS 8.0 and is compatible with the following iOS devices: iPhone 6s/6s Plus iPhone 6/6 Plus iPhone 5S iPhone 5C iPhone 5 iPhone 4S iPhone 4 iPad Pro iPad Air/Air2 iPad 4 iPad 3 iPad 2 iPad mini/mini 2/mini 3/mini 4 iPod 5 Q: How do I update the AMPLIFi’s firmware/flash memory? A: We always recommend that you run the latest flash in your AMPLIFi amplifier. Your AMPLIFi Remote application will inform you whenever a flash update is available, so you'll always know you have the latest version! Follow the instructions HERE to update the flash of your AMPLIFi. Q: What should I do if the AMPLIFi Remote app is unable to sync and connect with my AMPLIFi after applying the latest flash update? A: If you are unable to sync and connect your AMPLIFi with the AMPLIFi Remote app after applying a recent flash update to your AMPLIFi, make sure to perform the Post Update Instructions HERE. Q: How can I reset the AMPLIFi to its default settings? A: To perform a factory reset and restore a AMPLIFi 75, 150, or TT to factory settings press and hold Master Volume knob and Tone button as you power up the unit, keep holding them both down until you see the LED's around the Master Volume knob light up. To perform a factory reset and restore the AMPLIFi FX100 to factory settings press and hold the Master Volume knob and the TAP button as you power up the unit, keep holding them both until you see '01' in the LED display. Q: What can I do if I am experiencing Bluetooth connectivity issues between my Bluetooth device and the AMPLIFi? A: Make sure that you have applied the latest firmware update for your AMPLIFi as well as installed the latest version of the AMPLIFi Remote app. For additional troubleshooting steps about Bluetooth connectivity and usage check out our Bluetooth Connectivity FAQ HERE. Q: What should I do If I am experiencing connection issues with the AMPLIFi Remote app when I switch back and forth between apps on my mobile device? A: An important thing to note about the AMPLIFi Remote app functionality is that in addition to the Bluetooth connection between your AMPLIFi and your mobile device, there is a secondary 'sync' connection between the amp and the app. Each time you minimize/close the app, the connection between the AMPLIFi Remote app and the AMPLIFi will need to be re-established, even if your device is reporting that the AMPLIFi is connected via 'Bluetooth'. In this case, re-opening the AMPLIFi Remote app, will automatically re-establish the connection within a few seconds. Make sure to look at the main menu of the AMPLIFi Remote app and wait for it to indicate that your amp is 'connected' before moving forward using the app. If it does not automatically re-connect, close the AMPLIFi Remote app by double-tapping your iOS device's home key and then sliding the AMPLIFi Remote app window up and off the screen to fully close the app. Android devices usually have a button that lists all open programs where you can slide the app left or right to close it. Then relaunch the AMPLIFi Remote app and it should re-sync itself with the amp. Q: Can the AMPLIFi Remote App stream songs that are stored in the cloud and not on my mobile device? A: The AMPLIFi Remote App can only play back songs that are stored on your mobile device. On iOS deives, within the AMPLIFi Remote App settings, you can enable 'Hide Songs Not On Device' so that you only see songs that are stored on your iOS device when playing music from your Library. The Android app does not have this setting, but still only plays back songs stored on the device. Q: What do I do when tones differ drastically in volume? A: Tones can vary drastically in overall volume based on numerous factors within the settings of the tone such as Amp model Drive amount, Amp model Bass/mid/Treble settings, EQ/compression settings, FX settings, and most importantly the Amp Model volume. When you go into the Editor for the tone, touch the Amp/Cab icon. The slider at the the bottom of the screen labeled 'Volume' is the Amp Model Volume. This Amp Model 'Volume' sets the overall volume for tone itself. Therefore if you are having trouble balancing the level of tones, use the Amp Model volume to help match the volume of your other existing tones. A general rule of thumb is that 'clean' tones will need to have a higher Amp Model volume, while tones with lots of distortion are louder and can use a lower Amp Model volume. We also recommend that you keep the Master volume of the AMPLIFi at a lower setting when auditioning or matching tones to prevent any loud bursts of sound or feedback that can occur if the tone you load has a very loud Amp Model volume, excessive gain, or a lot of treble/bass. Q: How can I turn on and off the individual effects from my AMPLIFi presets using effects foot switches on the FBV Shortboard MKII? A: The 1.01 AMPLIFi firmware along with the AMPLIFi Remote app 1.20 update adds the ability to have your Stomp, Mod, Filter, and Delay effects assigned to the Stomp, Mod, and Delay foot switches of the FBV Shortboard MKII. When you connect a FBV Shortboard MKII to your AMPLIFi amp and open the preset editor window of the AMPLIFi Remote app, you will now notice that your ‘Stomp’, ‘Mod’, ‘Filter’, or ‘Delay’ effects icons will have a ‘S’, ‘M’, or ‘D’ badge on them to distinguish which footswitch they are assigned to on the FBV Shortboard MKII. In addition, the reverb effect will always be assigned to the ‘Reverb’ foot switch and the compressor effect will always been assigned to the ‘Function 1’ footswitch. Q: Why are the effects in my AMPLIFi presets not always assigned to the correctly labeled footswitch on the FBV Shortboard MKII. For example, my Stomp effect is assigned to the ‘Mod’ switch, my Mod effect is assigned to ‘Delay’ switch, or my Delay effect is assigned to ‘Mod’ switch, etc. A: On most factory presets the badges will be assigned to the respective effect category, meaning that Stomp effects will be assigned to the ‘Stomp’ footswitch, the Mod effects will be assigned to the ‘Mod’ footswitch, and Delay effects will be assigned to the ‘Delay’ footswitch. However, in some circumstances such as an altered factory preset or preset you might use from our ToneMatch Cloud, this may not be the case. If a Delay effect is loaded into the slot that corresponds to the Mod footswitch, then stepping on the Mod footswitch will toggle that delay on and off. Remember ““ you can create a patch that contains a Delay (or a Mod, Stomp, or Filter/Synth/Pitch effect) in all 3 assignable slots if you wish, so it is not possible to keep the labels matched with the effect type at all times. Therefore, if you wanted to create a patch with a specific effect assigned to a particular footswitch on your FBV Shortboard MKII, you would start by selecting the effect slot that contains the letter badge of the footswitch you would like to use in the AMPLIFi Remote app preset editor window. After tapping on the effects icon, tap the effects category type icon in the upper left hand side and pick the category of effect you desire. The resulting screen will allow you to select the effect you desire to use in that slot, and it will now be assigned to that FBV Shortboard MKII footswitch. Q: Can I assign a effect parameter to the 'FX' knob on-board the AMPLIFi 75 / 150 / FX100? A: Yes, you can assign one parameter from any of the effects within your tone to the 'FX' knob on-board the AMPLIFi to allow you easy access to favorite effects parameter. To do so tap and hold your finger inside the colored part of the parameter slider for the desired effect parameter you would like to assign to the 'FX' knob. You will see a confirmation dialog appear asking if you want assign 'Tweak' to the specified effects parameter, choose 'OK' to save your assignment. After you've made the assignment, a 'FX' knob icon will appear within the assigned effects slider control. You can now use the on-board 'FX' knob on the AMPLIFi to adjust the specified effects parameter. Q: Can I use a Line 6 EX-1 expression pedal along with my FBV Shortboard MKII and AMPLIFi? A: Unfortunately the EX-1 is not compatible with the AMPLIFi series even though the FBV Shortboard MKII features a 'external expression pedal' input to allow you to connect an EX-1 as a secondary expression pedal. The EX-1 does not function as a secondary expression pedal for AMPLIfi in particular, you can only use the on-board expression pedal on the FBV Shortboard MKII or FBV Express MKII with the AMPLIFi series. Q: Can I pair my AMPLIFi with more than one Bluetooth compatible device at a time? A: No, the AMPLIFi series does not support multiple Bluetooth connections at one time. If your AMPLIFi is currently paired with a Bluetooth device and you would like to pair it with another device, you can press and hold the Bluetooth button on the AMPLIFi to un-pair with the Bluetooth device that you are currently paired with and put it back into 'Discoverable' mode so that your second Bluetooth device can detect it and pair with it. Q: Can I use the AMPLIFi Remote app to load or edit tone files from my other existing Line 6 products, such as POD HD500? Will the app work with Sonic Port, Sonic Port VX, or Mobile IN? A: The AMPLIFi Remote app is only compatible with tone files created from the AMPLIFi family of products. It also only functions with AMPLIFi products. Q: What Bluetooth version is used in AMPLIFi? What Bluetooth codecs are supported? A: We use a Bluetooth solution that supports Bluetooth 2.1. We only support the SBC codec at this time. Q: Where can I register my AMPLIFi? A: After logging into or creating a Line 6 user account HERE, you can go HERE and enter in your serial number that is found on the back panel of the amp, it begins with '(21)TMA', simply fill in the remaining digits. Q: Where can I provide my feedback or make a suggestion about AMPLIFi? A: We encourage you to visit our IdeaScale page HERE and let us know about your ideas and suggestions. Q: Is there a forum where I can discuss AMPLIFi with other AMPLIFi users? A: We have a forum dedicated specifically to AMPLIFi available HERE. Q: Where can I find information on the warranty that is included with the AMPLIFi? A: You can find all of the available information on the AMPLIFi’s warranty HERE. Q: What do I do if my AMPLIFi is in need of repair? A: You can find all of the available information on how to arrange a repair HERE.
  7. Apple's policy is that if you acquire an app, free or not, the app should be available to download to any of your personal devices. However, as the app is updated, it's requirements may change and prevent fresh downloads on older devices. Example: If you attempt to download AMPLIFi Remote to an old device, and the minimum iOS version is 11 or above, you'll get an installation error: "This application requires iOS version 11 or later. You must update to iOS 11 in order to use this application." To get AMPLIFi Remote onto the older device, you'd have to first acquire the app via iTunes on a computer, or via the App Store on a device that is running the required iOS version, then download the app on the older device. Note that iPhone-only apps won't appear on an iPad, and vice versa. For our example, we'll use iTunes. Use the search box for the name of your application. Select the app in the search results. Click the Buy or Get button to acquire the app (you don't have to download it). Use your older iOS device and search for the exact app in the App Store or click on the Purchased icon in the lower navigation bar. When you locate the app, click the Install button. After you click Install, you'll see a popup indicating that there is an older version of the app available for download. Click Download to install the last compatible version.
  8. Hello After updating my iPhone 8 plus to the latest iOS 13.1.2, I'm having problems with the Firehawk remote app. Everything is OK except when I try to edit the Variax model using the app, it crashes all the time. I can still use every other functionality and the pedal works fine, changing models to and from magnetic pickups to Variax models, I just can't edit it on the Remote app. I have another older phone and it works fine there, so must be the latest iOS update. Anyone else experienced this and has a solution?
  9. I would like to know if there is a remote app that I can use to edit tones on my Spider V 240HC head for windows 10 OS. I used to have an older remote app that worked, however it recently stopped working. I have it for my iphone however it would make more sense to have it on my PC so I can edit tones while I record.
  10. I have had my AMPLIFi75 for a few years now, however the Bluetooth connection between my amp and the IOS app has not been working the past month. Not only this, but the app is virtually unusable. It either crashes, or stays frozen on my iPhone. I even tried deleted and reinstalling the app, but that hasn’t worked. Is anyone else having the same issues?
  11. Although the AMPLIFi is still available for purchase, it is no longer being developed, meaning we will not release any new firmware or software for it. The AMPLIFi Remote app is free to download. When installing AMPLIFi Remote, it warns that it was developed for an older version of Android and may not work correctly. Android versions 11, 12 and 13, etc. do not function as expected with the Amplifi Remote app.
  12. Although the Firehawk 1500 is still available for purchase, it is no longer being developed, meaning we will not release any new firmware or software for it. The Firehawk Remote app is free to download. When installing Firehawk Remote it warns that it was developed for an older version of Android and may not work correctly.
  13. My old iPad (2!) really isn't up to handling modern apps like Amplfi's remote, let alone playing backing tracks from youtube etc. to play along to. I mean, it does ok, but it's so slow to respond and always loses connection with my FX100 etc... I have a Macbook Pro that I wondered about emulating the iOS app on (seeing as Line 6 won't ever be likely to bring out a Mac/Windows editor app for the Amplifi series that's now pushing 4+ years old...) and wondered whether anyone else had ever tried this and how to get it working if so? I know Macs can emulate iOS environments for developing/testing iPhone/iPad apps etc so hoping I might be able to use the Amplifi FX100 Remote app as if it's on an iOS device....??

Q: Does AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 support double-byte characters as metadata? A: Tones with double-byte character names and metadata are not currently supported for tone matching. Q: Can I use AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 on Android devices with customized UI on non-English OS, for instance Sony Xperia or Sharp Aquos? A: These devices are not specifically supported at this time, however we do feel that they would work, although will not be fully localized. Q: Is AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 compatible with Windows Phone / Tablets at this time? A: There is currently no plan to support for ARM or x86-based Windows phones/tablets. Q: Will the same app work on all AMPLIFi products? A: Yes, the AMPLIFi Remote App will work with any member of the AMPLIFi Device family. Q: Is AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 also available for iOS? A: Yes. AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 provides minor maintenance with the overall app, but mostly AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 is for Android support. Some customers with iOS devices will upgrade to AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 without any noticeable differences. Q: The AMPLIFi product box only has iOS compatible devices printed on it. Are there different versions of AMPLIFi hardware sold specifically for iOS and Android? A: No, there are not different hardware versions. Whichever AMPLIFi hardware you get will support both AMPLIFi for iOS and for Android. As long as you have the AMPLIFi Remote App 2.0 on a supported device, your AMPLIFi hardware will work. Finding the App on an Android Device Q: What is the name of the app and where can I download it? A: The app is called AMPLIFi Remote on Play Store (also referred to as Google Play Store) and the Amazon Store. Firmware Updates Q: Do I have to update the AMPLIFi device firmware for Android to work? How can I update the firmware without an iOS device? A: Yes. A firmware update (2.0) is required. We will be providing a Windows PC-based firmware Updater called AMPLIFi Utility at www.line6.com/software, which requires a USB connection to your AMPLIFi device. When customers open the AMPLIFi Remote app on their Android device for the first time, there is a slideshow that points the customer to the Line 6 website to update their AMPLIFi hardware. Customers will download a driver and update utility and should follow the instructions to update their specific AMPLIFi hardware. Once started, running the firmware update will take between 2 - 3 minutes. iOS users will be able to update their firmware as is typically done with iOS devices via Bluetooth from the AMPLIFi Remote App. Q: If I have to upgrade the firmware, will it stop working with iOS devices or will I be able to switch between both? A: The update simply adds a new way for AMPLIFi to communicate over Bluetooth, so it will continue to work with iOS devices as well. Q: Is this the first time the USB port is being used to update AMPLIFi firmware? A: Yes Streaming Music and Tone Searching/Matching Q: Which music libraries are supported on Android OS? A: The AMPLIFi Remote App can access music that stored locally on the device, or on external SD card storage, that has been transferred to the device from a computer. Please use the default method provided by your device manufacturer to store music onto your Android device. Q: What about songs I have purchased or downloaded from Google Play Store (aka Play Music)? A: In order to access music purchased from the Google Play Store (aka Play Music), we recommend that you download it to your computer and transfer it to your device. The AMPLIFi Remote App will not match the tones of music streaming from Google Play Store (Play Music). Q: What kind of audio file format does AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 support? A: .mp3, .m4a, .mp4, .acc, .3gp, .flac. Formats that use id3 tags can be used for tone matching. Q: How does the AMPLIFi Remote App match tones? OR From where does AMPLIFi Remote App match tones? A: If your music is properly tagged with Artist, Album, and Song Titles, the Line 6 servers compare and sort publicly shared tones that match that particular song. Q: Can I edit tones on my computer using AMPLIFi Remote 2.0? A: No. At this time you cannot edit tones on a computer using the AMPLIFi Remote App. Q: What connectivity is required to play back music and tone searching and matching? Although, you will be able to access editing and manage your device-stored presets while offline. User Interface Q: Will the AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 GUI look the same on an Android device as on iOS devices? A: AMPLIFi Remote has been developed natively for Android using Java, so there are some very subtle differences. Q: How will the AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 GUI scale onto the different size screens? A: We've designed it to adjust spacing and scaling for lots of various screen sizes and pixel depths.
  15. Has anyone had success with their Helix communicating with their mac (for anything)? I am using 10.9.5. I have tried both Helix app 1.0.3 and the new line 6 updater and neither are showing a unit connected (via USB). I think this is a line 6 issue because under 'about this mac/more info/system report/USB/' it clearly shows a Helix unit connected to the 'USB hi-speed bus'---so it's not a bad cord or an Apple issue. Consequently I haven't upgraded to the newest firmware (still on 1.0.4) or checked out you alls tones.
  16. Just updated the Remote App on my iPhone 5s with latest iOS and it crashes on launch.
  17. Spider Remote Android Connection Troubleshooting While app/amp connections of Spider Remote on iOS are relatively simple, on Android, USB connections to devices like Spider V are more complicated. Not only are some Android devices wholly incompatible with USB host mode (required for connection to Spider V), some are only partially compatible, or exhibit bad behavior under some circumstances. Furthermore, there are important permissions-related actions that you must take, in order to enjoy the best user experience, and to ensure that firmware updating via Spider Remote Android works correctly. This guide assumes you have at least Spider Remote v1.0.2, so please make sure you have the latest version before proceeding. Testing the Device for Compatibility with USB Host Mode If an Android device does not support USB host mode, it cannot connect to Spider V amps. If you are having trouble connecting to your amp, the first step should be to run one of the free Android applications that will test a device’s compatibility with USB host mode. For example, the application USB Host Diagnostics has thus far proven to be entirely accurate. Here’s a link to download that app. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=usb%20host%20diagnostics&c=apps&hl=en Giving the Proper Permission to the Device To make your Android device work with your Spider V amp, you must first give permission. To carry out this action when the amp is first connected; the following dialogue box will appear. You then check the box ‘Use by default for this USB device’ and then press OK. Problems with Termination on Some Devices On certain devices, such as the Galaxy S6, we’ve seen some trouble with the app and amp connection. It manifests itself as the app crashing and temporarily losing USB capability. Dealing with Troublesome Devices Unfortunately, not every Android device can be tested. Problematic devices generally fall into one of two categories. 1. A connection is not possible. In this case, the device almost definitely does not fully-support USB host mode. Unfortunately this is out of Line 6’s control. If you think you have USB host mode, please run the USB Host Diagnostics app mentioned above. 2. Connections are possible, but the device’s USB port sometime ‘hangs’. This behavior might be noticed as the inability to charge the device after a successful prior connection, or even the inability to access it from a desktop computer. In this case, you are most likely experiencing the situation above described in ‘Problems with Termination on Some Devices’. Here are some best practices to minimize the issue. If you find yourself in this state, it is necessary to restart the device. Some devices may require a hard-restart of the Android, the method of which may vary among manufactures. On such problematic devices, and in the case where you must force-quit the Spider Remote application, you should also first sever the connection between the Android device and the amp. Do this by either powering off the Spider V, or by removing the USB cable. Once the amp connection is severed, if will be safe to force-quite the application. Note that the app will briefly display (at the top of the screen) ‘Device Not Connected’ when the connection is severed, and also when the device is not connected and the user presses the USB icon in the action bar.
  18. Hi, I just bought a Spider V 60, and really like it. I was disappointed to find the PC Remote app doesn't have any of the tone sharing features the iPad app has though. Is this something that's in development, or does Line 6 perhaps have some kind of exclusivity deal with Apple? I'm perplexed as to why it's available in one, but not the other. I'd much rather use my desktop mouse with one hand over picking up an iPad and swiping around with both hands.
  19. So is it officially done as far as development goes? Are we stuck with a compressor after all drive/amp blocks? Are we stuck with completely disabling iTunes in the app if we don't want to have the first track blast out of our headphones when we start up the app? are we stuck having to log into the App every other time we open it? this thing is soooooo close to being a worthy live backup device, but as of right now its pretty much only good for home jamming (which it is very good for), but it seems a few minor tweaks could really improve things.
  20. Imagine if Line6 made an iPad/iPhone looper app along the lines of GroupTheLoop or Quantiloop (but better) that had the added USP of being able to communicate two-way with the HELIX - so that by going into a special "Looper App Mode" the HELIX scribble strips behaved like an improved version of the built-in looper- but in a way where the labels would synchronise ( using OSC etc ? ) with the iOS app. https://line6.ideascale.com/a/idea-v2/902705
  21. Suggestion 1: A view which displays ALL Stomps + Snapshots As it is, it's much easier to edit on the unit itself. There are things that an app can do much better than a real hardware unit and vice a versa. Currently HELIX Editor isn't there yet. One of the current hassles is being able to view the settings for only ONE stomp or snapshot assignment at any one time. What would really help is if there was a view mode where the most salient information for EVERY pedal, and/or Snapshot was displayed all at once - at a glance. Since there is so much potential info that could be viewed ( and edited ) maybe some kinds of filter options or preferences would be needed in order to only show in this view the most salient information required. For example sometimes I need to be viewing and editing just the MIDI Controller settings for any pedal, another time all the effects bypass settings and another time the snapshots. There is SO much more potential GUI-wise for making HELIX HX Edit a fine and extremely productive tool for doing major work on HELIX - and at the moment as many have said it really IS currently much easier to edit on the actual unit itself. But as pleasant and cool as that is - there are many times when I want to be editing via HELIX Edit - and am away from the HELIX itself - even in another room - working remotely onto the HELIX via a computer over Wi fi even - and the app comes into its own. And given current limitations workflow-wise concerning MIDI Control aspects it would be really helpful of HX Edit came to the rescue. Surely one of the major things any music-making tool ought to strive at is improving the workflow of anything involving heavily used gear. https://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/HELIX-Editor-A-view-which-displays-ALL-Stomps-+-Snapshots/926664-23508#idea-tab-comments "add Option to show ALL setlists at same time": https://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/HELIX-Editor-Option-to-show-ALL-setlists-at-same-time/816921-23508#idea-tab-comments "Show Snapshots as 8 separate buttons not dropdown" https://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/HELIX-Editor-Show-Snapshots-as-8-separate-buttons-not-dropdown/864575-23508#idea-tab-comments View TWO presets at same time ( for copying or comparing settings etc... ) https://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/HELIX-Editor-View-TWO-presets-at-same-time/820657-23508#idea-tab-comments
  22. I'm unable to login via the Firehawk remote app on my iPhone 6, running the latest iOS (10.3.3). Tried with a friend's iPhone 5C and can't login on that either. I contacted support and tried reinstalling the app and restarting my iPhone (twice over) and still no joy. I can login fine to the line 6 site on my iOS web browsers, just not on the app, so I'm unable to back up my sounds and access the cloud. I've also tried in different locations. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, have you been able to resolve it?
  23. We have seen a variety of behaviors where the app is indicating a good connection to the hardware, but it is not actually communicating with the hardware. Music will still stream from the device, but the app will not connect to the hardware. This can happen following a firmware update over Bluetooth or during any app connection. In order to avoid or resolve this, we suggest the following: Android For AMPLIFi 75/150/TT, first try a factory reset on the AMPLIFi on to clear out any of it's stored Bluetooth settings. To perform a factory reset, press and hold the master volume knob and the 'tone' button as you power on the unit. turn the amp off and press and hold both the 'Tone' and Master Volume down as you power on the amp. Keep holding them both down until you see the LED's around the Master Volume light up. For AMPLIFi FX100, turn the pedal off and press and hold both the 'Tap' and Master Volume down as you power on the pedal. Keep holding them both down until you see the display light up with '01'. Next, on your mobile device, make sure that the AMPLIFi Remote app is fully closed and not running in the background. Within your mobile device Bluetooth settings you will need to delete any entries for AMPLIFi if possible. Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the AMPLIFi for 2 seconds until it begins to flash. It should then shortly appear within your mobile device Bluetooth settings, tap on it to re-pair. Try again to launch AMPLIFi Remote app, tap the menu button located in the upper left of the app and look to see if it shows that your AMPLIFi is 'connected' or not. iOS For AMPLIFi 75/150/TT, first try a factory reset on the AMPLIFi on to clear out any of its stored Bluetooth settings. Next, on your iOS device, make sure that the AMPLIFi Remote app is fully closed by double tapping on the home button and swiping up across the AMPLIFi Remote app. Than within your iOS device Bluetooth settings you will need to 'forget' any entries for AMPLIFi, by tapping the 'i' to the right of any AMPLIFi entry and than tapping 'Forget this device'. Than press and hold the Bluetooth button on the AMPLIFi for 2 seconds until it begins to flash. It should than shortly appear within your iOS device Bluetooth settings, tap on it to re-pair. Than try again to launch AMPLIFi Remote app, tap the menu button located in the upper left of the app and look to see if it shows that your AMPLIFi is 'connected' or not. If your AMPLIFi is detected by the AMPLIFi Remote app, the next thing to do is to apply the available firmware update using the instructions found at the link below: http://line6.com/sup...ifirmwareupdate
  24. Just picked up an Amplifi FX100 and trying to run the remote app (the whole reason I bought it) on my iPad 2, which is running the maximum iOS of 9.3.5, but the installer tells me it needs iOS 10?? It's just a simple interface, right? So how come it won't run on a slightly older OS from like only 2 years ago?? Am I missing something? I'll be kind of peeved if I've bought this Amplifi FX100 to use with my iPad only to find it can't run the remote software....?? Would an older version of the software work??
  25. Hi all, Just a quick one. In the Spider 5 app, when searching the cloud for tones, all I ever get is exactly 30 results, whatever I search for. It's the same on every demo I've seen of it. Is there a way to search for more, or have Line 6 capped the search number for some reason? Seems a bit daft if so! Cheers
