Hello guys I just built some new tones that took months of work. I think that the Periphery fans are going to enjoy them. This Bass preset is meant to emulate exactly each parallel signal on the Neural DSP Parallax plugin. It also features a custom Impulse Response. Let me know what you think! P.S: I am saying "exactly", because I literally tested every single amp sim on the Fractal and Helix arsenal, until I found the single amp sim that fitted perfectly. https://www.sbtones.com/product-category/helix/

Hello Guys, greetings from Brasil. So I bought a Pod Go some months ago, I'm a professional musician and I'm using it for work. I love the tones and the easiness that it brought to me, so straight forward and well built. But I'm struggling with it something. I realized when I'm using it with my stage monitor (I have a JBL IRX108) the AMP out source is sending less volume compared to the Main Out, even when I set the volume knob to control both outputs. I tested today with my stage monitor here and is obviously sending less output. But I need those outputs to be matched because my monitor needs lots of input to operate well. I tried on the manual and couldn't find nothing about it, it actually says that the two outputs (amp out and master out) should be sending the same amount of volume. Other question is, is there someway that I can use the L and R master outputs one for the FOH and other for Monitoring as if they were two MONO outputs? Because I don't want my effects to be divided wrongly, with one side sent to the FOH and other just to my monitors

Does anyone else experience lack of accuracy with the Helix on board tuner? I cant get a solid guitar tune with the Helix tuner at all. Below is a process of how I have checked them. On the helix, I have the tuner set to standard 440 pitch, and on my Boss TU-3 I have the same settings. The TU-3 accurately tunes my guitars, but the Helix is off by about -3cents on the some of the higher strings. There is no offsets, and the tuner is set to Guitar. Any ideas? Is this a known issue?

I have Toneport UX2 and am trying to record onto OBS. When acting as a sound card (i.e. watching a video), OBS picks up the audio. But when I try to record guitar or mic the sound does not get picked up. I've tried everything I can think of . Presently I record the video onto OBS and the audio into Sonar, then export the audio into OBS. Then I have to line up video and audio manually. Please can someone help me solve this problem.

Hi to whomever I am speaking with, I would REALLY appreciate any help on this... So I have used my Line 6 G75 Wireless Guitar System a few times over the last six months but then when I went to use it last month it lost signal between the transmitter and the receiver. I switched it off and on, auto scanned it and reset the scene for my bass which worked and then it played fine again for several times after that. But then this problem happened a few times until ultimately the system stopped recognising the transmitter saying 'NO Tx!' permanently. I gathered that it must be due a firmware update so I loaded version 1.05 to my RT516 unit and version 1.03 to my TB516 G which I believe are the most recent updates, still the same problem. I have gone through and tried auto scanning but it just comes up 'No Tx found', I have also tried manually setting the transmitter in accordance with the G75 manual to no avail. I have carried out a factory reset, loaded previous firmware's and shouted at it all to no avail. It is currently set back to versions 1.05 and 1.03 and as it was when I first opened it in regards to settings. I love the kit when its working but I need to have confidence in it, I am hoping someone here may have had something similar and can assist me?! Any help is hugely appreciated. Kind Regards, Ash

Hello Helix Community, Has anyone experienced a huge change in preset sounds after changing pickups in their guitars? I just had a Seymour Duncan JB installed in the bridge and a 59 in the neck of my PRS SE Custom 24. These replaced the originally 85/15s pickups which I thought were ok, but never satisfied with the sounds. I play lots of different styles from Steely Dan to Tool to Opeth to Porcupine Tree, so versatility is important for me. The clean sounds from these pups are amazing, didn’t know this guitar could sound so beautiful. But, any tones with gain or distortion sound absolutely terrible in every position. I usually only use the bridge for high gain and it sounds flat, harsh with no punch. Every preset with gain sounds the same no matter the amp model or different signal chain. Thanks so much for your help. Best regards, Derek

Hi everyone. I am looking for an active monitor to amplify my Pod Go with IR amp simulation. I'm not interested in FRFR cabs like Atomic, Powercab, tech21 and Headrush. I want a PA speaker. For price and portability (10 ") I am between these three options. I have read a lot about the Yamaha DXR series .. but I do not have enough budget. My main question is about the power and volume. I want the most powerful of the three. I tried the Headrush FRFR 108 and the presence and volume were not enough with my band. What option did you choose of the three mentioned speakers? Alternatives with a similar budget? Thank you!

Hi, Hope someone can help... I recently bought a variax 500 - no problems with the guitar, powers fine by battery. The problem is that the A/B box does not supply power to the guitar. I suspect its because I have the wrong adapter - can anyone please confirm if its likely that? Symptoms: Plug in and the 1/4" and XLR lights operate fine Power lamp on the right does not illuminate. Plug in the guitar - no signal through to amp. Plug in guitar with battery - signal is fine. The adapter I got with the guitar: INPUT 230v ~/ 50hz/ 100ma and OUTPUT 5.2v=/ 1200ma I have seen that the line 6 power supply has a higher rated output - INPUT of 230z ~/ 50hz / 150mz and OUTPUT 9v=/ 2000ma 18va So, am I correct in thinking that the power supply I have is, at 7v output, just not hot enough and I need to buy an appropriate replacement? Many thanks! Craig

Since version 3.0, the Helix family showed a capability about polyphonic tracking. I would like to use my HX Stomp or my Helix Native plugin to track the guitar and convert the sound to midi like the jamorigin plugin so it can then feed a synth. There is also Migic but it can only track one note. Thanks!

Hey guys, been searching for a while and haven't found anything about this. So, the thing is I'm looking for an audio interface to record my actual amp with a microfone. The thing is that, sometimes, I like to play quietly, using just headphones or want different flavors or just jam and play with different tones than my amp is able to provide. Would the POD Pro translate the mic signal well enough or is it possible that it adds something, some color to the sound? Should I go for an m-audio or a focusrite instead and use an amp sim?

Hi everyone, I've got a Pod HD500X that I've been using with a Laney solid state amp on the clean channel for a few months now and this set-up has been pretty great for me. However, I'll be going to university in a different country soon. I was thinking of purchasing cheap (and small) PC speakers to use in the dorm room, but thus far the headphones out on the Pod has sounded pretty bad to me. The sound has mostly been kind of fuzzy with little clarity. I've used a 1/4 inch to 3.5mm converter with my Shure SE215 earphones whenever I've tried the headphones out. I have a cheap-looking speaker that I got for free which when plugged in sounds quite bad as well. So my question is, what are some good options for PC speakers to use with the POD HD500X, and how is everyone's experience with PC speakers with the POD HD series ? I was looking at something like this: http://www.x-mini.com/product/x-mini-max-ii-capsule-speakers. I did get a decent sound when I plugged my earphones into the unbalanced out, with the 1/4 out set to line, and output mode set to Studio/Direct, so should I be using that instead of the headphones out? I understand that headphones are a viable option for me as well, but I would prefer to hear the sound from speakers instead. I would also prefer not to purchase a cheap/second-hand amp once I've arrived at university due to portability issues. Most of the information that I found from my research was regarding headphones and studio monitors, not much to do with PC speakers. TL;DR: I need recommendations for speakers to use my Pod HD500X with. Thanks in advance!

Hello Line 6ers, I’m teaching a man called Graham and he owns a Line 6 unit. I followed the instructions in this post and managed to create a dual path preset in Helix. I selected the Input block on one path and set it to guitar, did the same for the mic, etc. I successfully setup a DAW called Cakewalk on Windows and made a template with 3 tracks: 1 gtr left channel, 1 gtr right channel, 1 mic track. Graham is happy with this but he wants to know if its possible for him to use a preset (or at least some effects) so he can get the guitar effects coming through on the gtr channels while he sings. Is this possible? If we can't use effects-laden presets, can we copy the effects from existing presets and add them in? I noticed that a lot of presets use ‘two paths’ for all of their effects. Does this mean that we will be limited in our range of effects (and routing options) given that one our ‘paths’ is being taken up by the mic input? If the guitars have to be recorded dry with no effects (or only some of the desired effects), what’s the easiest way of re-amping or getting the recorded audio to run through a plugin or the Line 6 unit itself? Thanks in advance!

In my past I managed to achieve a really nice distorted tone with the POD Screamer. Recently I tried to recreate that tone with real pedals and noticed that it sounded nothing like that which shouldn't be a suprise because the Pod-Screamer has Bass and Treble controls which the real Tube Screamer doesn't have. So what exactly is the real model of the POD-Screamer? The only thing I found with Bass and Treble controls is the ''Boss ODB-3 Bass OverDrive'', ''Ibanez TSB9'' and a Behringer-Copy of the Boss. I wouldn't mind buying one of these pedals but I don't really know if they do the same as the POD-Screamer since they're all bass pedals. Any experiences or suggestions (except buying and trying :D) ?

Hi, I've had the UX2 for a while and really like it. I've used it to stream and record guitar for some time, though always used a USB mic for commentary. I wanted to upgrade so have bought an XLR mic that I wish to use through the UX2 interface. However, I can have my streaming software (OBS) record the UX2 so that it captures both the guitar and mic, so that's no issue. The issue is that I cannot monitor just the guitar, while streaming/recording the mic audio. Is there a way to just mintor guitar, while capturing the mic audio also? Thanks

Hey Line 6 community! I've been playing guitar for a long time, but never all too seriously. I invested in a nice guitar (Ormsby) and a line6 Helix Lt to really keep the drive up, and I'm trying to make a preset for the guitar this song, A wound that won't Heal by A.c.t https://open.spotify.com/track/4X919UJlUdODRJvBmLtaAh?si=mpBIrPGLQ2OJalHyf2UF3g Given that I'm new to trying effects out for real, I'm not having much luck. Anyone have any tips, tricks, or ideas? Thanks for your creative juices :)

I have a problem with the POD HD 500X. I'm normally playing at home then I want to change from the EXP1 to EXP2 to use the Wah effect, but the POD shuts down and it begins to restart over and over again without starting. Waht could it possibly be? FX overuse? Wrong calibration?

Hey fellow musicians! Well, the question is kinda simple. Can I/how do I make the Digitakt trigger the Line6 Helix’s looper to start and stop via MIDI? If it is possible please explain it to me in details as I am pretty new to the MIDI world and really have a hard time understanding all the CC messages and so on… Note: I already have my Digitakt sending MIDI cloc, so that the Line6 Helix’s tempo is in sync - I just need it to make a loop that fits(starts and ends) perfectly in grid. Thanks in advance!! <3

Hey Guys! So my Band recently went full on helix lt which means we want to use the helix of our singer/rhythm guitarist for vocal fx and guitar. We have two Singers in total which both use a shure wireless mic-system. So I thought that because the wireless uses line level, we could plug the two systems into the fx returns (and a clean signal to mix with foh) and use them for vocal stuff like telephone fx or delays. Next to that, our singer two sounds in total. 1. is just a distorted sound in mono (1 Amp + IR + TS808) 2. Is the same but with the Helix double take activated. We imagine that the two XLR outs are for the mic fx and the two 6,3mm output jacks go through a stereo DI for the guitar. For direct control this is quite a simple setup right? just using the vocal fx + double take + both Mic-Inputs in Stompmode. But now the tricky part begins... Everything has to be MIDI controllable. I´ve been working with Midi for my own Helix in Snapshot mode together with the DAW Reaper but now I need help to understand how to control the stomps in Stompmode with midi. For example this scenario will occur in our setlist: Singer 1 has a telephone fx on his voice while singer 2 is muted.. Some moments later the telephone fx will be switched out with a delay and extra reverb (2 stomps) while the guitar turns on the double take . So both paths have three stomps in total which have to be switched at the exact moment. Do I have to use own midi-automation lines in reaper for every stomp in stompmode to activate and deactivate? Thanks alot for your help guys! Greetings from Germany! - Worgram

I apologize if this topic already exists in the forum. I was searching on how to set up tone/volume in chain: TL guitar, SpiderV 30 & Cubase at PC. I didn't find the answer in Forum. My Spider V 30 is connected correctly to PC via USB and there is a sound of TL in Cubase. In Cubase, I choosed ASIO Spider V driver. I/O is Speder V (L&R) - Active. ASIO buffer Size is set to: Extra Small. I can record my TL from SpiderV 30 via USB and reproduce my records, too. It is not a problem, it works. But, quality of record is desperate and not acceptable, too. The sound is dark, blurry, somehow smudged and does not match what I hear on Spider V 30 while playing & recording. E.g effect as drive is not OK and corrupts the recorded. This is especially pronounced when I strumming all the strings. When I am playing finger style in clear sound or near clear, it is a better. It seams to me that solution is to set properly the tone on all devices in the chain: TL guitar, SpiderV 30 & Cubase at PC. Acctually to set properly the tone/volume of input signal to PC or output signal from Spider V 30 via USB. When I am playing acoustic guitar via USB Audio Interface (UAI), I can adjust Input signal at UAI and all works fine. But at Spider V 30 there is not possibility to adjust Input signal. I can adjust tone at TL guitar as imput signal to SpiderV 30, but it changes a sound of guitar at SpiderV 30. Or I can reduce/decrease Master tone of SpiderV 30, but I can not hear what I am playing. Please, give me opinion regarding this topic. How to properly set up tone of all devices in chain: TL guitar, SpiderV 30 & Cubase at PC? What are your experiences with this?
