USB 3.0 computer cables and peripherals, including hard drives, are known to emit radio frequency interference throughout the 2.4GHz band, which results in reduced range and/or performance for any 2.4GHz device in its proximity (including wireless keyboard or mouse, WiFi, etc.). We recommend placing any digital wireless receivers at least two meters away from the USB 3.0 device and its cabling. Below is a link to a study by Intel regarding this interference. http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/io/universal-serial-bus/usb3-frequency-interference-paper.html

  6. Absorption - The attenuation of sound level that occurs when a sound wave passes through a medium or strikes a surface, which result in the conversion of sound energy into energy such as heat. Acoustics - The science and study of sound, or the effect a given environment has on sound. Amplifier - A device that increases the amplitude of a signal. Attack - The time taken for the compressor or limiter to respond to the transient that has exceeded the threshold and attenuate the gain accordingly. Attenuate - To reduce in amplitude or sound level; make quieter. Bi-Amplified Systems - A loudspeaker system with a crossover and two independent power amplifiers, each handling their own half of the frequency spectrum and feeding a separate speaker system. Balanced Connections - Impedance matched audio connections that use three-conductor connectors such a XLR or TRS connectors. Balanced lines are less susceptible to hum and can carry audio signals over longer distances. Boomy - Listening term, refers to an excessive amount of additional bass response that has a less focused attack. Bus - A mixing console term that refers to a internal pathway used to route audio signals between channels, inputs, and outputs of a mixing console or digital audio workstation. Clipping - Distortion as a result of the top of a digital waveform being cut off caused by a signal overloading a gain stage of a digital device. Coloration - Listening term. The emphasis or reduction in a characteristic of the original sound. Compression - The process of attenuating the volume of loud sounds and amplifying the volume of quieter sounds to reduce the overall dynamic range of the audio signal. Compression Driver - A mid or high-frequency speaker comprising a small diaphragm and voice coil coupled to a large magnet structure, which is usually then mounted into a horn. Coverage Pattern - The angle of a loudspeakers beamwidth averaged over the high frequency responses enclosed within the specified range of -6dB on a frequency response polar plot. For example using the center of the high-frequency component as the 0° axis, the StageSource L3t can project 25° above and below the 0° axis, and 50° left and right of the 0° axis while maintaining an ideal frequency response and amplitude level. Crossover - DSP controller filter that splits audio signal into separate frequency bands that are routed separately to loudspeaker drivers that are optimized for the specific frequency band. Crossover Frequencies - The specific frequency bandwidths the DSP controlled crossover will split between separated loudspeaker drivers so that each driver can handle portions of the audio range it is optimized for. DC Fault Protection - A type of power amp protection that prevents the loudspeaker from receiving DC current as a result of a power amp failure. Decibel - A unit used to measure the intensity of a sound or the power level of an electrical signal by comparing it with a given level on a logarithmic scale. It is defined as dB = 10 x log(P1/P2), where P1 and P2 are the relative powers of the sound. Direct box - Device used to connect a high-impedance, line level, or unbalanced signal to a low-impedance microphone level balanced input. Commonly used to connect a electric guitar or bass directly to a microphone preamplifier input. Directivity - The angle of coverage for a loudspeaker’s projection vertically and horizontally, often expressed on specifications as ‘Directivity Index’ in decibels or as ‘Directivity Factor’ which is represented by Q. These specifications can help you to gauge how directional the loudspeaker is. Directivity Factor (Q) - The mathematical expression of how directive a loudspeaker’s output is.This ratio is represented by the Q factor, a measurement of the on axis response compared to the average of the off-axis response over a specified frequency range. A spherical output source with equal output levels at all angles will have a Q factor of 1. Directivity Index (DI) - The average increase in a loudspeaker’s sensitivity as a result of the directivity factor of a loudspeaker’s output. Represented by the value of dB, the on-axis level will have a increase in amplitude in relation to the level that would be radiated by a spherical output source of the same power, over the average of frequency range specified. Dynamic Range - The amplitude range between the quietest level and loudest level that a audio device can capture, produce, or reproduce without distortion. Equalizer - An adjustable audio filter that divides an audio signal’s frequency response into separated bandwidths, yielding the ability to increase or attenuate the amplitude of each bandwidth individually, in order to control the overall response of the audio signal. Excursion Limiting - Regulatory protection against a loudspeaker’s voice coil from being forced to move forward or backward in an amount that exceeds what it is capable of. Feedback - A constant ringing tone caused by the amplified sound of a loudspeaker system being captured by a microphone that is simultaneously being amplified by the same loudspeaker system, this causes the formation of a continuous feedback loop. Free Field - A environment where sound produced can travel in all directions without reflections or exterior interference. This type of environment is used to simulate and measure the response of an audio source in open space. Frequency - The measure of the rate of variations of a repetitive waveform, expressed in cycles per second or Hertz. In audio terms, frequency often refers to a specific tone within a range of a audio signal. Frequency Range - The operational frequency response the loudspeaker reproduced at the specified output power. Frequency Response - The bandwidth of frequencies that an audio device can capture, produce, or reproduce. Frequency response is measured from a low of 20Hz to a high of 20kHz with a +/- dB value indication of the amplitude variation existing across the frequency response when a test tone or sample is played back. All frequencies above and below a unit's Frequency Response are attenuated by a value greater than the +/- dB level indicated by the specification. Gain - Adjustable volume control for a audio device’s input that increases the amplitude of a signal from the input to the output of the device. Also represented as the output voltage of a device divided by its input voltage, most commonly measured in decibels. Graphic Equalizer - A equalizer that typically has a number of fixed-frequency bands, each with a slider that allows you to boost or cut the designated frequency. Ground loop - A condition occurring when several ground pathways exist between two devices, resulting in hum and increased noise. Half Space - A variation of the free field environment in which the audio source is placed or mounted against a solid barrier or baffle without reflections or exterior interference. This type of environment is used to simulate and measure the response of an audio source in half space. Compared to a free field environment response, a half-space environment will yield an increased response in low frequencies by an average of +6dB. Headroom - The difference between the nominal operating level of a audio device and the level at which clipping occurs, usually measured in dB. Hertz - The measure of the frequency of a vibrating object equivalent to cycles per second, it is often abbreviated as "Hz." Highpass Filter - An audio filter that attenuates all frequencies below a user specified cutoff frequency by particular amount of db per octave. Loudspeaker Horn - A horn shaped passive component of a loudspeaker that increases efficiency by improving the directivity and frequency response of the driver it is coupled with. I/O - Abbreviation for "Input/Output." kHz - 1000 Hertz. Limiting - The process by which the amplitude of an audio device’s input or output is prevented from exceeding a user specified dB level. Line-Level - The level of a audio device’s input or output operating level, typically a line level signal is +4dBm, while some audio devices will use -10 dBV instead. Line-level audio signals usually include keyboard/synth outputs, mixer outputs and signal processor outputs. Loudspeaker - An electroacoustical transducer that converts electrical energy to sound energy. Lowpass Filter - An audio filter that attenuates all frequencies above a user specified cutoff frequency by particular amount of db per octave. Main Speaker(Mains) - The primary loudspeakers used to broadcast the output of a mixing console to the audience. Maximum SPL Output - The maximum output volume achievable before clipping or a specified level of distortion occurs. Millisecond - One one-thousandth of a second, often abbreviated as "ms". Mixing Board - An audio device used for combining, routing, and adjusting the level, tone, and dynamics of audio signals, in turn summing the signals down to a monophonic or stereo signal that can be output to a recorder or loudspeaker. Monitor - A loudspeaker used live or in the studio to help a performer hear playback of their performance or backing tracks. Monophonic - A single-channel sound. Mute - A function that decreases the volume of an audio signal or device to a level that is inaudible, which allows the volume to be cut on a device without having to adjust the volume control. On-Axis - A response that is directly in front of a loudspeaker or microphone. Off-Axis - A response that is not directly in front of a loudspeaker or microphone. Off-Axis Response - A plot used to illustrate the response of a loudspeaker over a specified range of off-axis angles, with the measurement of the on-axis response used as the zero degree reference point. Overtemprature Protection - A type of power amp protection that prevents the power amp from overheating by limiting the output power once a specified temperature has been reached. Pan - A rotary control on a audio device used to position the audio signal between the left and right channels of a stereo sound field. The counter-clockwise position routes the signal to the left-channel output, the clockwise position routes the signal to the right–channel output, and the center position routes the signal equally to both the right and left channels. Phantom Power - A method of powering a condenser microphone by sending 48 volts of DC current over the same XLR cable used to carry the microphone’s audio signal. Parametric Equalizer - A equalizer that typically has three primary parameters: selectable center frequency for the frequency band, bandwidth control for how wide or narrow the frequency band is, and a gain control for how much of the frequency is boosted and cut. 7. James Tyler Variax v 1.8 Update The free v1.8 update gives all James Tyler Variax modeling guitars five next-generation acoustic guitar models based on celebrated 6- and 12-string acoustics from Martin, Guild and Gibson. If you play your JTV with a POD HD500 or POD HD Pro multi-effect processor, the v1.8 update also includes enhanced functionality to make your JTV/POD HD experience even more intuitive and powerful. *Please note that Line 6 Monkey v1.53 is required to update your JTV to this latest version of the flash memory. Please go over the following Line 6 Monkey FAQ for compatibility. Next-generation Models: New modeling technology. Our new breakthrough acoustic guitar modeling technology gives the five models breathtaking depth and detail, capturing the subtle nuances of string vibration through the soundboard and the tonewoods of the original modeled guitar body. Five updated models. The updated models are based on* the Martin D28, Martin D12-28, Martin 0-18, Guild 12 String, and Gibson J200 acoustic guitars. Known Issue Unable to save alternate tunings to the Acoustic Models within the Variax Workbench program. Workaround: Use the Alternate tunings on the guitar to use the Acoustic Models with an alternate tuning. For custom alternate tunings, you would need to create and save your own custom tunings to the Alternate tuning knob, and still use that knob to alter the tunings of the Acoustic Models. Downgrading your JTV from 1.81 to 1.71 If after installing the 1.8 update you decide that you would prefer to return to the original models you may want to downgrade your firmware to version 1.71. However, should you choose to downgrade to 1.71 you will be trading off the deeper integration over VDI with the POD HD family.
  8. Français Deutsch Q: Where can I find product manuals and specifications for the StageSource speakers? A: Product manuals and specifications for the StageSource L3t can be found Here. Product manuals and specifications for the StageSource L3s can be found Here. Q: How do I use the StageSource L3t or L3m? A: Check out our video tutorial " ". We also have examples of some common ways to setup the StageSource speakers available Here. Q: Why can't I hear anything from the middle driver on my L3t or L3m? A: The upper woofer always plays below 250Hz. The lower woofer works with the HF driver with a crossover that varies between 2.2 kHz and 7 kHz, depending on the chosen speaker mode. The details for these specs are listed here. Q: What are Smart Speaker Modes? A: The StageSource L3t and L3m use six powerful DSP-based Smart Speaker modes optimized for a variety of performance scenarios including front-of-house PA, floor monitor, personal PA, keyboard backline, acoustic guitar backline, or with a multi-effects guitar processor as a high-performance electric guitar speaker system. The six available Smart Speaker Modes are: Reference/P.A. - Reference/P.A. mode is for live sound reinforcement and features a flat frequency response, a 2.2kHz crossover frequency and maximum low-frequency extension. This mode is the optimal reference setting, whether your cabinet is mounted on a tripod, on stage or installed as part of a larger multi-component system. Playback - Playback mode is optimized for pre-recorded music. Functionally, Playback mode is similar to P.A. mode but includes an EQ curve that emphasizes extreme low and high frequencies, making it well-suited for playing back music from a CD or MP3 player, or for DJ applications. Floor Monitor - Floor Monitor mode is similar to P.A. mode with a slight reduction in low frequency content to counteract coupling when placing the speaker on the floor. If the speaker is powered on while in a horizontal position, Floor Monitor speaker mode will be selected automatically, you can then change to a different mode, if desired. Keyboards - Keyboard Mode optimizes the L3t for use as backline amplification for a keyboard rig. This mode features a flat frequency response with a 3.5kHz crossover frequency, adding more relative energy to the cone and providing a warmer response that is pleasant for instruments. This mode also provides Virtual Tilt-back, which optimizes the speaker’s tuning to achieve an upward tilt to its main axis and aim the sound towards the performer. Acoustic Guitar - Acoustic Guitar mode is optimized to provide a warm and balanced full-range amplification experience for acoustic instruments. This mode also features a 3.5kHz crossover frequency, with a custom-tailored low-frequency response to minimize “boominess” than can occur when amplifying acoustic instruments. Acoustic Guitar mode provides Virtual Tilt-Back, which optimizes the speaker’s tuning to achieve an upward tilt to its main axis and aim the sound towards the performer. Electric Guitar - Electric Guitar Mode was designed to accommodate the modern guitarist who uses a multi-effects floorboard device such as the Line 6 POD®. Rather than sending the signal from the guitarist’s floorboard to an amplifier and then mic’ing the amp, this L3t mode features an overall frequency response that emulates the sound of a 212 combo amp. The dual 10” speakers play full range, with the horn adding only the smallest amount of sparkle to the sound. Q: Will StageSource L3t and L3m function as a floor monitor? A: The StageSource L3t and L3m feature two sets of kickstands that can be used to angle the speakers upwards towards the performer. The two back-panel kickstands flip out, allowing the L3t and L3m to be angled upwards at 60°, the side mounted carrying handle doubles as a kickstand as well, allowing the L3t and L3m to be angled upwards at 30°. The StageSource L3t and L3m both include a smart speaker mode optimized for using the loudspeaker as a floor monitor. If the speaker is powered on while in a horizontal position, Floor Monitor speaker mode will be selected automatically. Check out our video tutorial on " " to see how to how to use the built in kickstands. Q: How does the L6 Link Network work with the StageSource speakers? A: Check out our video tutorial " ". When connecting speakers together in a L6 Link network, we recommend using 110-ohm AES/EBU XLR cables. Q: Can the StageSource speakers be pole mounted? A: The StageSource L3t and L3m both feature a pole mount that accommodates standard 35 mm diameter speaker poles. The L3s features three threaded pole mounts (one on top, two on the right side) to accommodate Line 6 M20 threaded speaker poles. The M20 threaded speaker pole part numbers are: Short pole - for mounting an L3t/L3m tower (Part # 98-037-0003) Long pole - for mounting an L3t/L3m tower (Part # 98-037-0004) Q: What is the proper method for suspending the StageSource speakers? A: The StageSource L3t and L3m provide four threaded M10 attachment points for suspension and one threaded M10 attachment point for pull-back and aiming the speaker. These are designed to allow for suspending the loudspeaker only by a qualified professional familiar with safe rigging practices. Improper installation may result in damage to the speaker or support structure, or injury or death. WARNING! If you are unfamiliar with suspending loudspeakers, consult an authorized, qualified professional prior to installation. WARNING! Before rigging or suspending any loudspeaker product, inspect all rigging hardware, cabinets, attachment points, transducers, and associated peripherals. Any absent, warped, or non-load rated equipment could seriously compromise the strength of the installation and should be immediately corrected. WARNING! Always follow all municipal building codes, as well as any local, state, and federal safety guidelines regarding the installation and operation of loudspeakers and associated peripherals. Always use two attachment points on either the top or bottom of the L3t/L3m The rear panel pull-back attachment point is only for aiming the speaker downwards (see illustration below); it is not to be used as a load-bearing suspension point. For permanent installations, use only the Line 6 eyebolt kit (Part # 98-037-0005). Q: Can I use a different crossover with the StageSource speakers? A: Using an external crossover is not recommended when using L3t tops with L3s subs. Simply connecting the pair via Line 6 link activates the precision engineered internal crossover and DSP. However when matching the L3t speaker system with a 3rd party subwoofer an external crossover may be necessary. In this case, connect the Main outputs of your mixer into your crossovers inputs. Connect the high/mid frequency output of the crossover to the rear panel Line Level Input of the L3t or L3m loudspeaker, than connect the low frequency output of the crossover into the line input of a self-powered subwoofer system or into the power amp that powers your passive subwoofer cabinet. Q: Can I install a different speaker driver into the StageSource speaker cabinet? A: The speaker drivers used are specifically designed for the speaker cabinets and speaker modes used with the StageSource series. Changing the speaker drivers can effect reliability and performance and will void the manufacturer warranty. Q: Where do I register my new StageSource speakers? A: Line 6 products can be registered to your Line 6 User account Here. Q: Where can I find out more information about Live Sound? A: Check out our Live Sound Resources and Live Sound Glossary of Terms. Die sechs verfügbaren Smart Speaker Modi sind: Reference/P.A.: Der Reference/P.A. (Nummer 98-037-0003) "Long pole" – Zum Aufbau eines L3t/L3m Turmes. Solo Artist L3t can provide portable amplification for singer-songwriters, complete with EQ, reverb and modulation for each channel. Connect your acoustic guitar to the side panel Channel 1, which features Acoustic Modeling. Connect your microphone to the side panel Channel 2. Connect a portable media player, CD player, or DJ mixer to the rear panel Aux L/R inputs for backing accompaniment or intermission music. Small Club Duet L6 LINK provides an easy way for two artists - each with an L3t- to blend their signals together without the need for an external mixer. Connect the guitars to each speaker’s Channel 1, which features Acoustic Modeling. Connect the microphones to Channel 2. When two L3t speakers are connected together as an L6 LINK loop, (L6 LINK In of each speaker connected to the L6 LINK Out of the other), this stereo system can take advantage of both side mixer panels combined. All of the left and mono signals from both speakers’ inputs will play from the speaker labeled ‘L’, and all of the right and mono signals will play from the speaker labeled ‘r’. In this configuration example, two guitars and two microphones, and even two MP3 players could be used simultaneously. Small PA with Subs When using a traditional mixer with one or more L3s subs and non-Line 6 full-range speakers, connect to the subs’ inputs first. Connect the same channel’s output from each sub to the rear panel line input of each full-range speaker. Small PA with Subs When using a traditional mixer with one or more L3t/L3m towers and one or more L3s subs connected via L6 LINK, connect both the Main Left and Main Right outputs of the mixer to one L3s’s Left and Right inputs. Connect the L3s’s L6 LINK Out/Thru to an L3t or L3m you wish to designate as left. Continue daisy-chaining speakers via L6 LINK. L3 subs and towers will automatically configure themselves as left, right, or mono (left + right), according to the table available at the link below: In the illustration above, the first sub and first tower are designated left. As there are only two subs and two towers, the other L3t/L3m and L3s are automatically designated right. The floor monitor is connected via traditional means from the mixer’s monitor output. Large PA with Subs When using a traditional mixer with one or more L3t/L3m towers and one or more L3s subs connected via L6 LINK, connect both the Main Left and Main Right outputs of the mixer to one L3s’s Left and Right inputs. Continue daisy-chaining speakers via L6 LINK. Any L3 subs and towers will automatically configure themselves as left, right, or mono (left + right), according to the table available at the link below: In the illustration above, the three floor monitors exist on a separate L6 LINK network, and as they’re turned on their sides, will automatically sum the left and right channels of any signals received (‘b’ for both). StageScape M20d - Small PA Connect the L6 LINK out from a StageScape M20d mixer to the rear panel L6 LINK In on any speaker in the network. Any L3t/L3m towers and L3s subs on an L6 LINK network are numbered independently. In the illustration above, the two L3s subs (labeled SUB 1 and 2) will, by default, play left and right, respectively. The two upright L3t/L3m towers (numbered 1 and 3) will, by default, play left and right, respectively. L3t/L3m number 2, because it’s laid on its side, will automatically play discrete monitor feed A. Any speaker on the network can have its channel assignment changed from the M20d’s touch screen interface. StageScape M20d - Large PA In the illustration above, four L3s subs (labeled SUB 1-4) and seven L3t/L3m speakers (independently numbered 1-7) are daisy-chained from an M20d mixer. The subs and upright towers automatically configure themselves to be a powerful stereo mains system. L3t/L3m speakers on their side (numbers 3, 4, and 5) automatically configure themselves as stage monitors, and play monitor feed A, B, and C respectively. You can also reassign any speaker from the M20d touchscreen.

The Blue LED will flash once to indicate that the transmitter is now operating in RF1 Mode. To revert back to RF2 Mode, repeat steps #1-6. Does USB 3.0 create interference in the 2.4GHz frequency range? USB 3.0 computer cables and peripherals, including hard drives, are known to emit radio frequency interference throughout the 2.4GHz band, which results in reduced range and/or performance for any 2.4GHz device in its proximity (including wireless keyboard or mouse, WiFi, etc.). We recommend placing any digital wireless receivers at least two meters away from the USB 3.0 device and its cabling. Below is a link to a study by Intel regarding this interference. http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/io/universal-serial-bus/usb3-frequency-interference-paper.html

"A firmware update is available! Would you like to update Mobile Keys (25 or 49, depending) to the latest firmware? [Not Now ][OK]". Tapping [OK] the screen goes black and you will see 'Preparing Update' followed by 'Updating Firmware'. After this completes, the MIDI Memo Recorder app screen returns with a dialog that displays “Update Succeeded “. To complete the update, unplug Mobile Keys (25 or 49, depending) and plug it back in [OK]”. Please unplug and re-plug the Mobile Keys device before tapping [OK]. ( B ) Using the USB connection to a host computer (Windows/Mac) and running Line 6 Monkey: If you don't have the latest version of Line 6 Monkey installed you can get it here. Click on the “Flash Memory” component in the Updates screen of Monkey. Click the “Update Selection” button (or “Reinstall Latest”), if you wish to re-flash the device). Wait for the progress indicator to reach completion and following the remaining Monkey prompts. Reset of SHIFT Function Settings Disconnect the Mobile Keys from the intended host device first. Press and hold the SHIFT button. Power on the Mobile Keys unit (physically connect via USB or iDevice). Press any of the first 9 (white) keys, or C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C-D-E on the lowest/left side of the keyboard range. Release SHIFT and the white key. Q: Can I connect the Mobile Keys 25 & 49 or to Apple iOS devices that have a Lightning connection instead of a 30-pin connection? A: Yes, you can connect a Mobile Keys 25 or 49 to a Lightning connection equipped Apple iOS device by using one of the Apple brand 30-ping to Lightning adapters that are available at the links below: Lightning to 30-pin Adapter Lightning to 30-pin Adapter (0.2m) Q: Do the Mobile Keys 25 & 49 work with Android products? A: Many of you have asked why Line 6 mobile products only work with Apple devices, not Android. Since many smartphone and tablet manufacturers support the Android operating system and have different connectors, it is unfortunately very difficult to develop and support products for these various hardware configurations. Apple devices share a standard, 30-pin dock connector which is why we’re able to create a single hardware solution for these devices. Q: My Mobile Keys was working, but after I unplugged it from my iOS device, then plugged it in again, the Mobile Keys is not recognized and won't work with any app. A: This will happen even after the iOS device goes into Sleep mode. What solves it is running the MIDI Memo app to re-initialize the keyboard. If MIDI Memo says a Line 6 interface is required, unplug then plug in the cable. Once MIDI Memo makes the “enable recording” button available, the keyboard is ready to use.
  15. Deutsch Français Important Notes: These instructions also apply to POD HD400 and POD HD300 and their associated editors. It is highly recommended that these updates are installed in a specific sequence. Please see the installation notes* below. Bug Fixes These updates address a bug which allows invalid data to be introduced to presets. The invalid data is caused by asynchronous communication between the POD HD/HD500/HD Pro hardware device and the POD HD/HD500/HD Pro Edit software application. In rare instances, recalling presets containing invalid data may cause intermittent high volume events. Installing POD HD/HD500/HD Pro firmware v2.62 and POD HD/HD500/HD Pro Edit v2.26 prevents invalid data from being introduced into presets. During synchronization between POD HD/HD500/HD Pro and POD HD/HD500/HD Pro Edit, the hardware displays a ‘Sync In Progress’ message and does not respond to any buttons or knobs until synchronization is complete. Additionally, any presets which contain invalid data are reset to an initialized state. These presets are easily identified as ‘New Tone (Reset)’. *Installation Notes Please follow these steps sequentially: Disconnect any audio connections to the POD HD/HD500/HD Pro, connect to the computer via USB and save a preset Bundle, Set Lists, or individual presets from POD HD/HD500/HD Pro Edit v1.06 (if you do not wish to save any existing presets you may skip this step) Quit the POD HD/HD500/HD Pro Edit app and launch Line 6 Monkey to install POD HD/HD500/HD Pro Edit v2.26 Complete the POD HD/HD500/HD Pro Edit installation and launch Monkey once again to install POD HD/HD500/HD Pro Flash Memory v2.62 During the installation, Monkey will ask if you want to keep your presets, click ‘No’, and complete the installation following the on-screen instructions. On the POD HD500, you *must* reset the global setup options which includes resetting the Setlist names and pedal calibration by: Disconnect the USB cable connection between HD500 and host computer. Power off the POD HD500. Power on the POD HD500 while holding the LEFT ARROW [*] If you do not do this, one of the tell-tale symptoms that may surface after a Monkey Flash Memory update is that the HD500 will be stuck in a continuous re-boot/power cycling state (you'll keep seeing the Logo and the unit keeps re-starting itself). Sometimes this may not occur, but a secondary telltale sign that a user has not performed a Global Settings reset is the USB communication between the HD500 and HD500 Edit software will be extremely slow/sluggish. ***NOTE: Please also make sure to re-calibrate the onboard expression pedal of the HD500 after performing the Global Settings reset. Instructions: How to calibrate the POD HD500X\HD500 Expression Pedal. [*]Launch POD HD/HD500/HD Pro Edit to restore any saved presets. **Please note that any previously saved presets that were corrupted in any way will be discarded and set to New Tone (Reset) once imported into POD HD/HD500/HD Pro Edit 2.00. For more information about POD HD/HD500/HD Pro, visit our POD HD500X\HD500\POD HD\POD HD Pro FAQ. Advanced User's Guide The latest version of the Advanced User's Guide for the POD HD500 can be found here. Ces presets ressemblent à ceci: "New Tone (Reset)". 22. V2.0 Firmware provides improved performance as well as upgraded features and/or compatibility to existing Line 6 XD-V70 systems and separates: XD-V70 Transmitters RF2 mode in addition to the original RF1 mode 14 channel capability in RF2 mode or 12 channel in RF1 mode. XD-V70 Receivers Ability to lock to RF1 or RF2 mode transmitters 14 channel capability in RF2 mode A new RF Scan capability which identifies RF1, RF2 transmitters as well as possible interference sources on Line 6 channels. Switching between RF1 and RF2 Mode The XD-V70 V2.0 Firmware utilizes our latest digital wireless transmission method, and is fully channel compatible with the XD-V75 running RF2 mode. Multiple units of either of these models can be used together within the same location, as long as each unit is on a unique channel and no more than 14 units are used simultaneously. The XD-V70 receivers running V2.0 Firmware can automatically receive transmissions from previous generation of Line 6 wireless products, including the XD-V30, XD-V70, and Relayâ„¢ G30, Relayâ„¢ G50, and Relayâ„¢ G90 models with pre Version 2.0 Firmware, now referred to as RF1 mode. However, it is recommended to NOT mix usage of the RF1 and RF2 modes within the same location due to the channel frequencies in each system not being compatible. Depending on the situation, it may be desirable to switch transmitters from RF2 back to RF1 mode. To set THH12 or TBP12 transmitters running V2.0 firmware into RF1 mode, enter Setup mode to display the current channel, then while holding down the SELECT button, press and release the ON/MUTE button on the THH12 or VALUE button on the TBP12. The display will briefly show [XD-V7x RF1] or [XD-V7x RF2] to indicate whether it is operating in the old or new mode, respectively. This setting is retained when powering off, so as a reminder the display will also show this indication [RF1 or RF2] each time power is turned on. The XD-V7x receiver will display a [To] on the far right of the display to indicate while communicating with a RF1 software transmitter. RF Scan Mode Channel Scanning Procedure V2.0 firmware adds a sophisticated scanning capability that can determine the existence of interfering wireless devices that may compromise the performance range of operation on certain channels, and can also help assure selected wireless mic channels do not interfere with other wireless devices. Use the following procedure to minimize interference: if you are adding new wireless units to a previous installation with Line 6 systems, first turn on the existing transmitters so their frequencies can be detected. Press the SETUP button on the receiver. The [sELECT FUNCTION] screen will appear; scroll with the ROTARY ENCODER to [CHANNEL SCAN], and press the ROTARY ENCODER to begin the scanning process. After approximately 6 seconds, the display will show channel numbers 1 through 14 on the bottom line, with a status indicator above each channel. The indicators and their applications are: Note: No audio will function while the receiver is on this channel-scanning page; you must select a channel by pressing the ROTARY ENCODER or press the EXIT button and leave the page to resume audio. Turn the ROTARY ENCODER to scroll through the list of channels; a flashing underline will follow the channel number as you scroll. Once you have highlighted a blank, unused channel, press the ROTARY ENCODER to select it. The receiver display will return to the main page with the new channel number shown. Note: Any of the channels can be selected, regardless of the RF conditions displayed for the channel. Selecting a channel showing significant RF interference can result in lessened range for the associated transmitter.
  23. The XD-V75 receiver firmware can be updated via the mini-USB port connection to a host computer (Windows XP or better, or Mac OSX 10.5 or better) using the Line 6 Monkey software application. In addition, the XD-V75 receiver can function as an "interface" to update the Relay G90 and XD-V70 receivers. Updating an XD-V75 Receiver: Remove any currently connected Antennas from the BNC jacks. Power Switch to "Off" on the receiver, then disconnect the power cable to the XD-V75 Receiver. Connect a mini-USB cable to the back of the receiver mini-USB port and your host computer. Reconnect the power cable to the XD-V75 Receiver. LCD Display on the XD-V75 receiver should read: "LOADER ENABLED" (regardless if you physically flip the Power Switch to "On" or not). Launch Line 6 Monkey 1.50 (or higher, depending on current release build as of this reading). Be certain to log on in Monkey. Click on "Connect To Device" on the left. Choose "Line 6 Wireless Device USB" and click OK. In the following window, select "XD-V75 Receiver" in the list of all the wireless devices that appear. Click on the "Flash Memory" in the Update window. Click "Update Selection" or "Reinstall Latest", whichever appears. Click "I ACCEPT" and then "Yes". Don't break the USB connection during the update process. When completed you should see a "XD-V75 Receiver update successful" message. Click "OK". To get the receiver out of Loader Mode, unplug the unit, remove the USB cable, plug in the power and turn the unit on. Updating the G90 or XD-V70 Receivers: Look at the pictures in the Device Positioning for Updating XD-V7x Transmitters and Receivers document for the visual reference on how the devices must be positioned/connected physically for a successful update. Once the device to be updated is positioned/connected, follow steps 3-5 above to put the XD-V75 Receiver into Loader Mode. Click the Change Device button in Line 6 Monkey. Choose "Line 6 Wireless Device USB" and click OK. On the next screen, choose the appropriate device to update. Once Monkey switches to the new target device to be updated, follow along in the update wizard instructions in the Line 6 Monkey software window. Monkey will program the XD-V75 receiver to "connect" to the device to be updated. If you do not power up the target device when prompted within about 30 seconds, the connection will time out and give you the error message "No pass thru receiver found". After you click OK, you'll get an error message saying "Error connecting to device". Hit OK and Monkey will reprogram the XD-V75 again, then ask you to power up the target device. After powering up the device, Monkey will be ready to update it. Follow steps 8-10 above. When the update is complete, you will get a message saying so. You will also get instructions for verifying the version on the unit. To get the receiver out of Loader Mode, unplug the unit, remove the USB cable, plug in the power and turn the unit on. Having problems? Some users that were reporting errors had success when using a different computer and repeating the process. Try re-booting your computer and starting from the top by first re-flashing your V75 receiver. Once this is done you can proceed to flashing other units. If you are still having problems, create a support ticket from http://line6.com/support/tickets/. Please complete the System Profile in your account and send us a "Monkey Log" in the ticket: 1) Run Monkey until the error is encountered 2) Choose "Diagnostics..." from the Line 6 Monkey main menu (at the top of the Mac Finder) 3) A finder window will open up - you will see one or more .log files with date-stamped filenames. 4) Send the most recent log file - or any of the log files whose date correspond to the date when the error occurred.
