  1. Background Apple has recently pivoted away from using Intel-based CPUs with its computers, instead favoring the Apple Silicon processor, also known as the M1 Chip. Both Intel and Apple Silicon systems run on macOS 11.0 Big Sur. As it stands, some Line 6 products are not fully supported on computers using Apple Silicon processors, so we cannot offer technical support for those products installed on M1 systems at this time. We highly encourage you to check with the manufacturers' websites of your music system’s hardware and software for M1 compatibility. Workaround on M1 Systems NOTE: Any workarounds offered are not official solutions. Issues experienced with workarounds offered cannot be addressed until official support is offered. Starting with Big Sur macOS 11, Apple introduced Rosetta v2, which allows applications to run in an emulated mode. Rosetta runs automatically with our software that is NOT a plugin. To use Rosetta with our plugins, locate your DAW in the Applications folder. Use command ⌘+I and check the “Open in Rosetta” box. You may have to rescan your plugins afterwards. 2. Hi guys, my Helix currently still has the 2.3 firmware and since I have never used the HX Edit, I wanted to start with it. Now I see that you have to be careful when updating, otherwise you can break a lot. (from 2.7 to 2.8 e.g.) My question is how best to update from this old version. Is it enough to make a backup before and update to 3.1 right away? Or should I take smaller steps with the critical firmware change, from 2.3 to 2.7, then from 2.7 to 2.8 and then from 2.8 to 3.1? I don't really have a clue and would be happy if someone could give me advice. Thank you!
  3. So the history is today arrived my Pod Go, everything work as intended, but later I tried to install the Go Edit software... Everything worked until it asked me to update the firmware. The update failed. Now my Pod Go won't even boot, just shows up the blank pod go logo. What I've tried: Reinstall all drivers (won't fix) Tried to update with Line 6 Updater (Neither Go Edit & L6 Updater recognaise the device is connected) All the avobe but in Update Mode (Nothing :) ) All the avobe with another USB (Nope) Factory reset (Doesn't do anything) I know the factory reset shortcut is "press C&D buttons while powering on" but doesn't seem to do nothing. Maybe I should reclaim, and forget all the affliction it's causing me. Please help.

    Hot Springs

What’s the chances of this cool drippy reverb being updated to Pod Go? Great unit, but I do miss not having the Hot Springs which is available with my HX Effects.
  5. Well, in case you hadn’t noticed, and as most people don’t seem to bother visiting the dedicated HX Native section - Helix Native v.3.11 was released on June 1st, with very little fanfare in these forums. It has been noted that it fixes the Big Sur issues of “sluggishness” etc. The two bullet points state: Improved stability and performance on macOS Big Sur. Other minor improvements and bug fixes. Also, a new updated HX Edit v3.11 is available. Improved stability and performance on macOS Big Sur. HX Stomp/HX Stomp XL: Renamed snapshots would not appear in HX Edit's command center window. HX Stomp's Input block could show as "None" on rare occasions after restoring from a backup. Other minor improvements and bug fixes. Hope this helps/makes sense for all those who were troubled by the previous version. Go get it.
  6. Hi! My Helix Floor just came in, after starting and noodling with it for a bit I decided to update the firmware (it comes with 1.06.5 firmware) to 3.11, but after it's been updated, it's stuck in the loading screen saying "WIll restore select Factory Settings..." and it has been doing this for almost 2 hours, anyone know how to fix this? Thank you!
  7. Hi there! I'm an owner of Helix rack, controler and mission pedal. That works great. To complement this, I purchased a year ago Helix Native to have that also. Presently, it's at version 1.82. I wanted to update it to a higher version, possibly 3.10 if I may, but for the life of me I can not find anywhere a button or a menu where I can update the version already installed on my laptop. How is it done if it can be done at all? Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
  8. Hi everybody, here’s a quick test of all new 3.10 firmware features; no speech, just play! Ciao a tutti, ho fatto un breve test di tutte le novità del firmware 3.10; no dialoghi, solo suoni! https://youtu.be/VM5l3GAgu6A
  9. Hi, I've never had a an issue with any update until now. I backed up everything as suggested and the update failed. "Boot Failure. Entered Update Mode." I'm stuck. I uninstalled and re-installed all Line 6 Software and tried to restart my Helix. It shows 3.10 as the version number, but once POST finished, I get the Boot Failure message. Any advice?

    POD Go 1.21

POD Go 1.21 (released March 25, 2021) includes new amps, new cabs, new effects, and bug fixes and is recommended for all POD Go and POD Go Wireless users. POD Go 1.22 (released June 1, 2021) includes G10T and G10T II wireless transmitter updating from POD Go Wireless and additional important bug fixes: Full support for macOS 11 Big Sur Global Settings > Ins/Outs > Guitar In Pad would not be remembered across power cycles—FIXED Clicking tap tempo from within POD Go Edit for an extended period of time could sometimes cause POD Go to freeze—FIXED In POD Go Edit, the EQ > Acoustic Sim block did not display an X icon to delete the block—FIXED How do I update to 1.22? STEP 1—Install POD Go Edit 1.22 FIRST! Log onto line6.com, download, and install POD Go Edit 1.22: macOS: https://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=10571 Windows 7/8/10: https://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=10572 STEP 2—Update POD Go/POD Go Wireless AFTER Installing POD Go Edit 1.22 Shut down any programs that use audio or connect to your POD Go device, like DAWs, iTunes, Spotify, video games, etc. Disable the sleep timer on your computer. The update will fail if your computer goes to sleep during the process. If you are using a laptop, plug it in, or ensure it has enough battery life to complete the update without shutting down. Connect POD Go or POD Go Wireless to your Mac or PC via USB and turn it on. Launch POD Go Edit 1.22. Click the gear at the bottom of the window, then click "Check for Updates". Log into your Line 6 account. A dialog panel appears, reading "An update is available for your POD Go. Would you like to update now?" Click "Update now." POD Go Edit asks if you want to create a backup of your existing user presets. Click "OK" and then "Create Backup." Once the backup is completed, click "OK." Carefully read the End User License Agreement (haaa hahaha!) and click "OK." Click "Update." Please keep POD GO Edit in focus throughout the entire update. Once the update is complete, POD Go restarts automatically. Click "Back to POD Go Edit". 11. Corrective Action required immediately for Relay G10, Relay G10S, and Relay G10T wireless products purchased prior to March 2020. Several instances of extreme overheating and a risk of fire presented by the Relay G10T wireless transmitter have been reported since the product was introduced in 2016. All instances of overheating reportedly occurred during charging. In March 2020, Line 6 issued a “recall-to-repair” with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall to repair is designed to prevent overheating and the risk of fire, and simply requires users to install a firmware update. It takes about five minutes to complete this process. Many users have still not updated their units so this Safety Alert is intended to raise awareness of the issue and urge owners who have not yet done so to be sure they have the latest firmware version. The latest G10T firmware version is 1.06. Please be sure to update your transmitter if you are not on this latest version. Additionally, and not a safety matter, Line 6 has determined that certain Relay G10T units with the earlier versions of the firmware may not charge optimally within warm environments. The latest firmware version also corrects this issue. Units sold after March 2020 were already updated to the latest version and require no update. However, if you own a Relay G10 purchased before then, and have not updated the firmware, please immediately update your unit to prevent the risk of overheating. Step-by-step instructions are provided through the links below. INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPDATING G10 & G10S INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPDATING G10T VIA SPIDER V AMPS INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPDATING G10T VIA YAMAHA THR-II Additionally, the Line 6 Relay G10T USB Charging Cable (an optional accessory not included with Relay G10, Relay G10S, or Relay G10T), which may be used to connect a G10T transmitter to a powered USB port, can also contribute to extreme overheating in the transmitter. The Relay G10T USB Charging Cable cannot be repaired and the concern cannot be remedied by a firmware update to other Relay G10 products. If you purchased a Relay G10T USB Charging Cable, please discontinue using it. Owners of the cable who provide satisfactory proof of its destruction will receive a refund. 12. I'm sorry about this question, i might just miss something, but I've read the update guide and it didn't really make it clear to me. Right now I have Helix LT at 2.30. As title says should i update it straight to 3.00 or extra steps should be taken? The reason I ask is because when i had Helix LT back in a day at 2.30 the latest firmware was 2.82. To install this one i had to update to 2.71 first because somehow 2.80 wasn't installing above 2.30. So my update steps were 2.30 -> 2.71 -> 2.80 -> 2.82. I don't really wanna brick Helix or something, so just to make sure I made a topic here. Sorry once again.
  13. Hi- Just updated from 2.82 to 3.01 for Helix floor. All seems to have gone smoothly, but instructions ("Step Tres") say to restore from the backup that was created prior to the update. Everything seems to be OK. Is this restore from backup mandatory for a reason I don't know about or haven't been able to determine? Wouldn't want to retrograde factory settings, for example. Thanks for your input.
  14. I tried to update to 3.01. The HX edit is at 3.0, I signed up, back up my presets, and then I clicked update. HX Edit is stuck on the Update Device screen and is stuck with the phrase at the bottom saying "initializing firmware installation..." It's been like this for hours, and the helix floor screen says "update message server started". HX Edit won't let me quit out either because it says I need to wait until the update is finished. Please help. I don't want to risk bricking my Helix. I'm on OSx 19.15.7 Catalina
  15. So I’m trying to update my helix and I downloaded the firmware on hx edit but for some reason , my helix isn’t updating. I’m stuck on “firmware downloaded successfully”. The display screen isn’t changing to the update stage. Does anyone know how to fix this issue ?
  16. Hello everyone, Just tried to update my Helix LT from 2.92 to 3.0 with HX edit 3.0 without success, the update stopped and HX Edit asked to turn off and on the Helix. https://postimg.cc/gallery/gLLdZFp I tried to put it in test mode (turn on the helix with switch 3 and 4), safe mode, factory reset... nothing works (see image link). I am running a 2020 MacBook Pro 13", with Core i7/16Go DDR4. Any suggestions ? I am getting a bit preoccupied as I had to reset it once but this time even the factory reset doesn't work. Thank you very much for your help
  17. Hello - I followed the instructions in Line6 website to upgrade but my computer crashed during the upgrade process. Now my Helix floor displays "Boot Failure. Entered Update Mode!" with :-3 error code on the top left corner. Should I send the unit back? I was planning on playing with it all weekend and now I am screwed. It seems the update progress was about 50% when the computer crashed. I tried uploading pictures here but does not work, will try to reply with pictures. Thanks for your help.
  18. So I've been a Helix user for awhile now, and I've honestly never done a forum before, but I have had some pipe dreams for the helix since I've owned it, and thought maybe I'd just ask to see if it could happen. Amp Suggestions: -Milkman (I've always wanted to own a Milkman amp, some sort of old school, bluesy, creamy type tone. I know you can just edit a Fender Deluxe to get a similar style, but there really is something special about these Milkman amps, and if it could be recreated in the helix, it would be like amp heaven for me) More practical suggestions: -Graphical Display for Eq (I've seen this suggested a lot, so I really think it should be considered in an update. I work as a sound engineer, so I am aware that you need to use your ears, but sometimes having a visual representation just adds to the experience of setting up a rig. It's nice to "see" what I'm doing as I'm hearing it) -Amp and effects Display (Literally, the only thing that is missing on the helix to make it feel more like a luxury item is just an update for the graphical interface. I'm not talking much, just some sort of pop up that displays a picture of the pedal or amp you're using. You can already kinda see them in the HX edit program. So it's not like it would involve making any new art, I would just like to see a picture of what I'm using. It creates vibe, and sometimes it helps me remember the name of what I'm using, since these are all "made up" amps. It would really make the difference with the helix being a luxury item). Buggs or Problems with Programming -Having an option to turn off the auto-increase feature (Sometimes when I'm trying to set something on the helix, like a certain gain level on a pedal, I turn the knob really fast, and it automatically jumps to way past where I wanted it to go. It gets annoying as I either have to turn the knob really carefully and slowly, or just keep going back and forth pass the value that I actually want. It's super frustrating. It be nice to turn off that feature, so it wouldn't matter how fast I turned the knob, the values would never automatically jump like 50 units.) -Saving Effects/amps: Values/names (Lastly, something that so many people have asked for, and it really wouldn't be difficult to do or take up much more space on the device. Being able to save presets for effects. Like if I always dial in a certain set up for an amp, but I want to use it on a different rig, I could save a preset of that particular amp/effect and name it whatever I wanted. It could also help, if I set up an amp to try to replicated a different amp that's not modeled on the helix, I could save "my own amp" without having to bug you guys about adding a new effect or amp. I could make one of the fuzzes sound like a russian version of the big muff pi and call it "big muff pi-r" and always be able to find it in my effects..

When the G10T flashes red, it may have up to 60 minutes of battery time remaining. † If the G10T reaches a full charge (solid green) and remains docked, the G10T LED may eventually flash green again. This is expected behavior as the G10T may discharge slightly after reaching a full charge, and its LED may then flash green until it again reaches a full charge. ‡ If the charging lockout indication continues for over 10 minutes, please stop charging and try again in a cooler environment condition. § When the G10T has insufficient power to transmit, its LED may indicate a pattern of five quick red flashes when connected to an instrument and audio is detected. 22. Hi. I'm having trouble with my Helix Control. When i booted my rack unit up yesterday, the control also booted up in LCD Test mode. It switches between this and Update mode but never reverts back to presets. The rack is recognising this as having not been updated. I clicked update but it does nothing and just keep repeating, asking to update. I can't seem to get it out of the test mode so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Picture for reference
  23. Hi folks, I bought my Helix in 2017 and despite playing with it for a while, I had to move countries and it had been sleeping in my office for a long time now. Yesterday I decided to pick it up again and do some playing/recording. Its firmware was version 2.21 then and I upgraded it to 2.92 using the latest Helix Edit app. It all went well, but I'm surprised it went "too well", actually: the instructions mentioned my user presets would be erased during the upgrade, but they didn't! I can still find and use them after the upgrade, which included the big overhaul from version 2.80. The fact that I could already find those presets held me back from importing my backup after the upgrade. So the question is: should I factory reset the Helix after the update, and THEN import the backup? By doing so, is there a risk of the new factory presets of the current firmware be replaced by the old ones of the backup, or only my user presets will be reapplied? By the way, my old "Helix" app is still there lingering on my PC alongside the new "Helix Edit" app. Can I safely uninstall the "Helix" app and only use the "Helix Edit" app from now on? And if I do need to factory reset, can I confirm that it's by turning it on while pressing switches 9 and 10? Sorry if all of this is repeated, but I couldn't find a direct answer to these questions because I'm a noob. Best regards to all.
  24. USB connectivity is a common issue with a failed update process: Make sure to check all cable connections, and USB ports for proper connectivity. The Pod Go should be connected directly to the laptop or computer with USB 2.0. No hubs or secondary connections. If it's a desktop computer (standing tower), then you may need to connect to the back of the computer near the power source. Proper USB 2.0 ports will provide enough USB bus power for your POD update. For Windows PC users: with all newer updates, it's always helpful to install the latest Pod Go Edit software FIRST, before you continue. This will include the latest Pod Go drivers for proper USB connectivity. Download here: https://line6.com/software/ 1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the POD Go to the computer. 2. Boot the unit into "Update Mode" Press and hold PAGE > (page right) and then power on POD Go 3. Reconnect the POD Go to the computer, preferably trying a different USB port than before. 4. Launch Line 6 Updater. 5. If POD Go connects, it will appear in DFU Update Mode and you will have to select POD Go from the list. 6. If the unit does not connect, close Line 6 Updater, connect to a different USB port on the computer, preferably with a different USB cable as well, and relaunch Line 6 Updater. 7. If the unit then connects, reinstall the firmware. 8. If the unit does still not connect, there may be a configuration issue with the computer. Please try a different computer. Another common solution: If you're having trouble installing the latest update in Line 6 Updater, you may want to revert back to the previous update version. Install firmware 1.40, and then once the Pod Go is booted up again - install Pod Go 2.01 firmware with Line 6 Updater.
  25. Here are the common button combinations for POD Go when attempting a factory reset or troubleshooting. To perform any of these, start with the POD Go turned off, then flip on the power switch while holding down the buttons below for 5-8 seconds. It's helpful to have your presets backed up or saved to your PC or Mac computer, before performing a factory reset. C & D - Factory Restore (Restores all factory settings) A & B - Clears Everything (Clears all presets, factory settings will not load) PAGE > - Update mode (helpful for any interrupted or failed updates) If your POD Go is booting up in Demo Mode (shown on display screen during power up), see below to resume normal mode: Hold down Bank/Preset Down and "D" footswitches during power up
