Hey guys. I have recently purchased the M20d and have it coupled with a pair of L2m for small bar gigs - live guitar, male and female vocals over backing tracks. The M20d 1.2 upgrade states the following in the marketing blurb: "It is also possible to import multi-track backing tracks from external sources and utilize them in a live performance, making StageScape M20d the center of the production." What format do the multitracks need to be? How do you go about letting media player know they are a multitrack backing track? Has media player yet been upgraded with the option to 'stop' after each track rather than continue through the playlist and infinite loop? I hope someone can shed some light on this as I don't appear to find anything else about it other than the press releases! Thanks in advance, Graham.

Hi, thanks for previous answers (by the way, it's funny how I can only create new topics through the phone, not the PC...). I have a final doubt that I've not been finding. My idea is to record some videos while I play along to some songs. So I wanted to record the playback from, say, Spotify (on the pc), alongside my guitar recording (while my phone does the video recording, separately). Is there any way I can do it? If I set my Helix LT as the PC monitor, I can hear everything and play along without a problem, but I know that only happens because my output is set to USB 1/2. I'm afraid I can't use USB 1/2 as inputs on another line to, say, output it through USB 3/4 and use that as an input to reaper because 1) I can't select USB 1/2 as inputs; and 2) that would ause the guitar and all other sounds from PC to record on loop... So, is there a way to record playback from spotify AND my guitar at the same time through Helix? I'm using Reaper. Thank you!

Hi all, I've been having issues forever trying to control Cubase via Helix through USB midi while still being able to receive PC/CC information for automatic preset/snapshot recall. I had given up and switched to the new hotkeys feature which seemed to work fine at first but now I'm having an issue again: on random occasion, starting playback in Cubase by pressing the footswitch assign to spacebar will induce a change in this footswitch's hotkey assignment and bring it back to "none" which then prevents me from stopping the playback. When I scroll to my previous/next preset and come back to my main one, everything is as should be and it might work fine for a couple songs, but then, it will happen again, from a different preset, or the same one, it is very intermittent. Has anyone experienced this instability? If so, have you come up with a solution around it? I really would like to get rid of my second midi foot controller and use Helix instead but so far, neither MIDI nor hotkeys have proven reliable enough for live use. a bummer.. Thanks for your help.

Hello, I am struggling to get the sound coming from USB on the L2t's connected to Line6 link of my Pod HD500x. I have the sound on headphones but there is no sound other than guitar on the L2t which is pretty annoying as I want to practice with backing tracks on speakers, not headphones. Is it possible to get it working?

Hello, first time using the forums since I wasn't able to find a concrete answer to the issue I'm having here or on the Reaper forums. I have two issues. First issue. I am unable to have anything playing on my computer playback through my headphones that I have connected to my POD HD500. I have my POD HD500 connected via USB to my computer. In the Sound panel, when I have the 'Line 6 POD HD500' set as my default Playback device, anything that I try to play does not play. For example... I go to YouTube to play a song, and the video doesn't start. Same for when I am playing something back in Reaper, I push play and nothing happens. Why is this? Second issue. I am unable to record in Reaper. This probably has something to do with the first issue, but I am going to write it out regardless. As said, I have the POD HD500 connected via USB to my computer. In Reaper's preferences under Audio > Device, I have the following... Audio System: ASIO ASIO Driver: ASIO POD HD500 Is there something that I am missing? I'm feeling frustrated since I recorded something a few weeks ago and I didn't have this much trouble getting things to work. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Attempting to record some voice-over work with my Helix. Aston Origin/48v. Don't have access to my other audio interfaces as I'm on the road. During recording everything sounds fine(great in fact), but when I playback there are a substantial amount of clicks and pops. Specs: Acer VX-15 i7 7700 16gb RAM Studio One V3 Professional(v3.5) Helix(2.21) Line 6 1.86 Drivers Running Helix into USB3.0 16bit/44.1 Have adjusted buffer from 128-2048 with no difference. Again, during recording the clicks and pops aren't present. Just during playback. I've used this setup with my home desktop with no issues, checked the USB cable and its all good. Am I missing something?? Thanks,

Ladies and gents! since a week ago i am a proud owner of a Line 6 Helix! but when i was fiddling around with the internal routing, i noticed that the first and third return are not functioning, the 2nd and 4th are working (i tested this by playing music with my phone through a mini-jack -> 6,3 adapter.) Is my hardware faulty? or is it a internal/software setting that must be adjusted? i hope you guys can help me out with this issue! with best regards, Milton

Hi, I've got myself a HD500X recently. I want to record music via USB. I had bit of an issues with signal level at the beginning but I've sorterd it out. Think that bugs is the playback level. When I record a track and I would like to decrease its volume before I will come up with another one - so I can hear what am I doing (especially when more of them is present into multitrack. Is there a global knob or setting of the playback level from recording sofware? Thanks for help!

Hello guys, I recently had to return a Amplifi FX 100 due to audio playback glitches / jitter when streaming via bluetooth from my android devices (phone and tablet). Do this issues exist in the Firehawk FX or any other bluetooth issues with android for that matter? Thank you in advance, Pedro

Hi all, I've had my Pod HD500 for about a year now and I've noticed that the loop function, all of a sudden, doesnt work! Obviously it used to and I know how to do it, but for some reason, everytime I go to record something, it doesnt play it back . . . Anyone know why?? Any help what so ever would be greatly appreciated, Cheers! Damian

Hi, I have my firehawk connected to a Yamaha DXR10 speaker. Currently I am using a 1/4" cable connection but I could use XLR instead. Is there a way to stream the bluetooth music as mono through just one cable so that my speaker doesn't just recieve the left channel? If not, then would a Y XLR cable achieve the same thing? Thanks Andrew

I like to play along to bands albums with my guitar through a UX2 while simultaneously listening to them on Itunes. I've noticed though, that If i don't have my UX2 settings just right (in terms of lowering the volume of the amps) the UX2 loudness will cause the ITUNES to completely stop. Actually, every other application that makes sound stops working. For instance when I get on ableton to play my guitar through a UX2 over a simple drum beat, the sound stops working on ableton. The only sound that does work is the guitar signal through the UX2. Is this because of my sound card?? Anybody know of a quick fix instead of rebooting/restarting the computer every time i do not calculate the volumes right?

I am a new owner of a used POD HD500 and I am really enjoying it for synthesizer keyboard sounds. I have a problem that I could not find an answer to in the forums. I have been having problems using two different USB sound devices. Neither of these is running off of a hub as recommended by Line 6. I am using a POD HD500 on Windows 7 32-bit and the problem began just after installing the full suite of 4.2.7.6 drivers via Line 6 Monkey. Maybe that isn't the problem, because it is intermittent and I suspect Windows is part of the problem. Before the upgrade I was able to use both a Lexicon Alpha sound card with its own ASIO driver for playback as well as the HD POD ASIO drivers for playback of a more expressive suite of sounds. I used a hardware switch to isolate all of the sound connections except the USB feed to each of the units. The problem is playback on other applications suddenly have no sound at all after the HD POD500 is used. Even if the HD POD500 is turned off, trying to open a Windows application like Audacity result in a message like "The device is being used by another application - Please close the application". This message still appears even if the HD POD is turned off and disconnected from the computer. So either the connection is really on (doubtful since the HD POD device no longer shows in Windows control panel, or Windows is just having a snit because it doesn't know the connection has been turned off. The only way surefire way I have found to make this problem go away is to reboot the computer, which is a royal PITA. The message appears to be a Windows memory conflict problem so I have been selectively disabling startup services each time I reboot. The last startup service that was disabled was Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. Whatever that is. So far the problem hasn't reared its ugly head. So maybe that was it. I would be interested in knowing if others are having this problem and how it was solved.

Amplifi now needs to Add a Looper Function, Record Playback
michaelawalker posted a topic in AMPLIFi
We now Need a Looper, there is no reason not to have one in the Remote, it would add so much more capability to the Amplify, I can then record a Background Rhythm, play that back and then be able to play my Lead's. With all of the Capability of the iPad or iPhone, that is a no Brainer..should be no reason why I should have to buy a pedal to have one.. They had it added when it first came out in Ideascale, but it seems they just never talked about it anymore cause the dang Amplify never worked correctly in Bluetooth so long. So everyone was focused on that. Add a looper!!! push button in the Amplifi Remote for record and playback..keep it simple like a Ditto Looper.. -
How do I get my sound to come out of my computer speakers? I have my POD HD500 plugged in to my computer through USB and through one of the outputs (one end is an instrument cable for the pod, and the other end is a headphone/aux cable for the computer). I've tried messing with the sound settings on my computer, but I don't hear anything when I play. I've seen this done before, so I know it's possible. I don't even think I need a USB for it, but I've tried it without one as well. Please help.

After I figured out how to access the music on my phone (I asked a question about this which is currently awaiting moderation that can be deleted) I'm curious what kind of playback options are available (if any). Sometimes when trying to transcribe a song by ear I'll have to play a specific part over and over again till I figure out the right notes. Is there a way in the AMPLIFi remote to set a marker to loop a specific part of the song? Currently I have an audio interface plugged into my PC and I use ableton to loop parts of the song then play over it with my guitar. I would be neat if I could loop specific pieces of the song right in the AMPLIFi remote itself to take my DAW completely out of the equation.

Hi all, When my band and I rehearse, we record our practice sessions to an SD card in the M20D because once in awhile, we'll play a song really well and will import the tracks into ProTools and turn it into a demo for our website. While practicing along with one of our recordings tonight, playback suddenly stopped and the M20D displayed the following error message: "A problem occurred during recording or playback. (code -41)" I'm guessing (hoping, actually) that it's corruption of the SD card I was playing back from and not a problem with the M20D. I've played back this same file from the SD card many times on the M20D without any issues, but tonight the problem began. I rebooted the M20D and playback stopped and the error message appeared at exactly the same point in the song. Has anyone else had an issue like this, and if so, how did you resolve it? FYI: I'm still at v1.1 of the firmware. I'm hesitant to update to v1.2 with a gig approaching, but will do so if I've got good reason to believe it will fix this issue. I'm copying all of the files off of the SD card and I'm going to format it and see if any of my Mac disk utilities can identify any issues with it. Thanks for your help! Cheers, Scott

Hi folks, I am interested in the Studio GX to run on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop. Can you tell me if aside from recording & playback in DAW, is it possible to have the amp sim software running alongside e.g. YouTube videos? A big use of my portable set up will be for practising, and this monitoring of input alongside audio playback seems to be a common limitation of smaller interfaces for Windows (.e.g iRig HD)! Thanks for any info you can give

Hey guys I just started having a problem with my UX1 that I for the life of me cannot figure out. Iv had my UX1 for over a year now, i have never had an issue with it till today, with the snap of a finger its started acting up. I didnt change any settings from what iv been using, its always been updated and whatnot, but today I noticed that my playback while playing seems a little weaker than normal, its very minimal but enough to drive me insane, so once I went to record and listened to the recorded playback I was horrified at the sound. It sounds as if my tone has lost all low end and is nothing but a high pitched fuzz, its very quiet and this is driving me up the wall. Iv tried updating drivers and all that jazz but nothing works. I didnt change any settings with the UX1 or my recording programs. (Use audacity and magix studio) Its almost as if its not getting a good signal but at the same time the real time playback is almost just what its supposed to be like, iv tried different cables and different guitars and nothing. Any help with this is much appreciated, thanks.

Hey there guys, brand new here on the forum! I just picked up a Pod HD Pro a few days ago and it's my first rack modeling system, really excited to get deep into all it has to offer! I'm pretty familiar with recording and audio troubleshooting but I've noticed I'm having some weird playback issues. I'm running the HD Pro via USB directly to the computer with 1/4 unbalanced outs to connect to my monitors. I don't seem to have any trouble with the signal going in while playing or recording but when I am playing things back through the monitors I notice some skipping is occurring, sometimes subtle, sometimes quite obviously. Previously I was running an M-Audio Fast Track Pro interface and using the outputs on there for my speakers. I tried using the same 1/4 unbalanced cables and connecting my monitors through that again and I noticed no skipping. I also have the most updated firmware and drivers installed for the HD Pro so I'm not sure where the problem could lie. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

So I contacted tech support, but as it turns out they're not much help. I'm wondering how I can start recording and practicing through my computer with just my guitar and Floor Pod Plus. I read you need to have a Audio Interface so I chose this one. "http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0023BYDHK/ref=s9_simh_gw_p267_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1N8X2BZD74TBM8T0K543&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1630072222&pf_rd_i=507846" It's a Behringer UCA222, and it's only $30. It has some pretty awesome reviews on it, and I'm not looking to spend much so I thought it'd be a good Audio Interface to buy. I guess my question is, would all I need to start recording through my computer be the Audio Interface, my guitar, and the Floor Pod Plus? How would I go about hooking it all up together? And what cables/connectors would I need? More of a detailed description would be helpful, but I guess anything at this point will do. Also if I hooked this all up could I just put in headphones through my computer and practice playing that way? Thanks in advance!
