  1. I have a problem that I can't figure out. I'm using a Helix Rack, Presonus 1824c, Reaper, and Native. My problem is that when I choose a preset in Native I also hear a dry signal coming from somewhere. Are there any settings that I might be missing that will allow me to only hear the processed signal?
  2. Hey line 6! First want to say I love your products, they have really opened doors for me in many ways gigging wise and session wise. I only have one request as of right now. For the tuner multi-input... Can we upgrade this to include all four returns within the multi input of the tuner? Most gigs I run a minimum of two guitars, and when I go to tune I have to Ensure to bend down and switch the input from multi to return X. I know that's a small problem, but in the heat of battle every second/mis step matters! Thanks
  3. My Floor Pod Plus turns on but doesn’t get any input signals, no even for tuning. Does anyone knows if there’s anything else I should do to have it working, besides turning on (with it’s proper power supply) and connecting the jack?
  4. I have a Floor that’s about 2 years old. Always worked fine until yesterday. I have a lot of patches set up with three paths: one to FOH from 1/4, one to my amp from send 1 and a Mic path to xlr. I use a harmoniser and megaphone on this path from my vocal mic. At rehearsal the mic path was dead and after investigating it’s seems to be a problem with the mic input. I’ve tried daisy chaining the cables in and out (mic works) but as soon as I put the cables through the Helix I get nothing! Other inputs all produce sound. I don’t ‘think’ I’ve switched something and I’ve checked connections, paths etc and also tried to set up a new patch with just a vocal path and that doesn’t work either. Nor do patches set to use my condenser (powered) into my DAW (so I can’t record vocals :-(). Helix is kept in its padded backpack. Any ideas as to what I may have done or anyone had anything similar? Thanks!
  5. Hello, I have a problem with a live line6 pod xt. For some time the sound has stopped coming out, neither in the headphones nor in the speaker. Obviously I don't know if the problem is outgoing or incoming. She turns on quietly. I have read that a 9v a.c power supply is used and that is what is used. I tried to open it to see if there was something missing, but to the eye everything looks ok. Some time ago my father sprayed the contact cleaner product inside the jack inputs. I am attaching the photos I took inside on the central plate. Hope someone who had the same problem can help me solve. Thanks so much everyone for the help.
  6. Hey guys, been searching for a while and haven't found anything about this. So, the thing is I'm looking for an audio interface to record my actual amp with a microfone. The thing is that, sometimes, I like to play quietly, using just headphones or want different flavors or just jam and play with different tones than my amp is able to provide. Would the POD Pro translate the mic signal well enough or is it possible that it adds something, some color to the sound? Should I go for an m-audio or a focusrite instead and use an amp sim?
  7. Hey y'all, I'm a bass player and a g'tar man in different bands. I bought the Mooer GE250 to cover all the bases but recently have become disenfranchised with it due to the lack of any bass support/amps. One main bug bear is that I can't specify which input pad (+/-dB) to apply to each patch (as the bass is 18v Active and needs a -20dB PAD and the guitar does not) and it's a global setting. From what I can see, this is the same with the POD GO? Surely I can't be on my own in wanting that option in the Input stage ? You guys with passive and active g'tar or basses must have that issue too? I just can't seem to find anything about it online or any one with a similar issue. The end result is that the guitar runs cold and needs extra gain, or I have to remember to adjust the global setting, both of which are not a perfect solution. Thanks for you help.
  8. Hi All - I had a spare XLR>1/4 TRS adaptor lying around (not an impedance matching transformer), and I plugged my Shure SM58 into the L/Mono of my HX stomp and set the input on global parameters to line. The volume was still VERY quiet and it basically didn't work. I notice on the Main L/R there is an In-Z selector (auto, 10k, 22k, 32k, etc) which I had set to "auto," but there is no option to go down as low as the mic output impedance (150 ohm). Then I started looking on youtube to try and figure out why this wasn't working and found a video that talks about the need for an impedance matching transformer - yeah yeah, I know I prob. should have researched it first. BUT, I didn't see anything in the manual that said I shouldn't do this and since the mic is a passive device, I would never have considered there would be any risk of damaging the HX stomp. However, the guy in the video mentions potentially "blowing up your hardware" by NOT using one of those, and that gets me super concerned. Did I bugger-up my HX stomp in some way?! Man I hope not! Please help me sleep at night!!!
  9. I’ve used my iPhone as an audio input into the USB port of my HX stomp to play along with backing tracks and songs. Since I updated to 3.0 (now 3.01) the iPhone won’t play sound through the USB into the Stomp, but instead keeps playing through its built-in speakers. The USB on the Stomp works, I can play audio from my laptop, just not from an iPhone or iPad. Any clues as to what might be going on?
  10. Logic Pro X 10.5 - Helix Native Issues Since upgrading to the newest version of Logic Pro X 10.5, my Helix Native plugin is running horribly slow. I have tried all of my other guitar plugins and they are working perfectly. After lots of testing, it has come down to only Helix Native that is having issues. When changing/dragging blocks, adding new amps/effects, or simply trying to select patches, there is always a delay. Almost as if when you (for instance) try to move a block in the signal chain, it takes a second to realize what you are doing and delays your command. Very annoying and makes it difficult to work quickly. Any clues? Is there a way to uninstall Helix Native and re-install easily on a Mac? It seems that the upgrade to Logic 10.5 has done the damage, but again, only with Helix Native. I am running OS Mojave 10.14.6 and the most current version of Helix Native.
  11. I recently purchased the HD500X after owning the HD400 for a while and it got me thinking if it’s possible to use the HD500X as an IEM board? I play for a church and instead of personal mixers, we use on-stage monitors. I found that this is quite inconvenient at most points. My question is, is it possible to run a 1/4 through the aux-in or an XLR into the HD500X that has the audio from the other instruments and vocals, but not run the monitor mix back out through the PA? I know that the Helix could perform such task, but could the HD500X do the same? I feel like if it’s possible, but I’m unsure if it could be done. Thank you in advance!
  12. Hi Helixers, Today suddenly with the Helix the sound stopped while recording. i Did nothing unusual, it was usb plugged with Logic Pro , I didn’t even touch it or move it . to narrow the possibilities, I checked the guitar and the cable in another amp and everything’s fine . It was the firmware 2.54 I updated it to 2.81 , and still nothing not even a signal on the tuner! does anyone had this issue before and solved it ? Musically yours
  13. The pins of the connection from input output board (1 to 6) to the A/D Board are shorten to the back casing. Isolating the caseing in this area whith tape solved the problem. nice mixing everyone M20D Rocks (pictures come later)
  14. Hello, sorry if this is a duplicate, I'm not a regular forums user... I've received my Helix Rack today and was updating it to the current firmware and setting it up and was wondering if it would not be possible to use on of the backpanel jacks as a regular instrument in. The background is that it sits below my wireless which of course outputs on the back an instrument level signal and I would like to avoid laying a cable out to the frontpanel instrument in. I was checking all the global in/out options but could not find anything like this. As far as I understand it, the aux in expects a line level input. On a sidenote: Does anybody know what happens if you feed an instrument level signal through a lne level input port? I would guess it would sound a little "washed out"? Thanks in advance and best regards
  15. I want to play guitar using linux and my POD Studio UX1. Output works perfectly fine, the interface is detected and gives a great tone for everything i play on my computer. However, input from the UX1 is not working. Jack is started and seems to be wired correctly but i get no instrument input. Does the UX1 instument input have problems with linux in general or am I missing something? On Windows with POD Farm it worked. Thanks for helping!
  16. Hello, I just recently sold my ZOOM G5 and bought a Line 6 POD HD500X instead. The way that I would record using my ZOOM G5 is I would plug the USB into my macbook pro -> Open Garageband -> Input preference: ZOOM G5 -> Output preference: Built in Speakers. I was hoping it would work out the same with the line 6 but all I experienced was errors after errors: 1) No automatic detection I had to update everything through Monkey in order for the macbook to detect a USB input 2) Although the Macbook detects the MIC (Input sound of the POD HD500X) Garageband seems to have no signal what so ever, even if I have input set to the POD in preferences 3) I tried to solely use the POD HD 500X as both input and output and NOT even then the garageband detects the input signal. I have Macbook Pro macOS Mojave 10.14.1 (13-inch, Mid 2012) !!!!!!!!POD HD500X Edit is not supported for this OS!!!!!!!!!!!, Processor 2.5Ghz Intel Core i5. Please help, I am very frustrated it's been only a few days since I bought this and I'm wishing I never did.
  17. Hello people, i just wonder if the Input of the POD XT PRO rack is a balanced or a unbalanced input, i'm asking this because i have an electric grand piano wich has outputs like a guitar does (1/4 plug) and besides XLR outputs too, but i always use the 1/4 plug output with a normal guitar cable (wich is TS ) to connect it to the front input of the POD XT PRO but i can hear the Radio Station when i do, and i was wondering if instead i can use a 1/4 TRS cable in both ends wich goes from the output of my piano to the front input of the POD, or maybe a XLR from the output of the piano to the input of the POD using a TRS male on this end. Thank you!
  18. HI, I thought I read about this issue before in this forum but I can't seem to find the topic below. I have an M20 (+ L2m, L3m and L3s) and specific inputs are currently dropping out. In my practice room pysical mic inputs 7&8 (which take electronic drums stereo) will drop out after about 5-10min. There is not drop in output from the drum module but there is no input level coming in. Examining further I can see the channel strip inputs for 1,2,7,8 all greyed out like there in no connector in them... when there physically is. If I plug into another pair of channels, they work fine. If I cycle power on teh unit the channels come back... for a while. WTF is going on with this thing? did this sort of thing happen before or was it my imagination? Why that block of channels? After the dramas with my L2ms (which I have only just had returned from the fan replacement - and haven't tested properly yet) I am afraid to take this out in public until my faith in the reliability is restored. 19. Apple's new OS Mojave 10.14, has implemented a new security feature that can block input signals if not allowed access. Once a user has launched a DAW or stand alone plugin for the first time after the Mojave update, they will prompted to "allow mic access." If mic access is denied, user will not be able to receive an input via the specified software. To manually approve your software navigate to: System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy > Microphone From this menu, user will be granted the ability to approve any software that was previously denied.
  20. Hi guys, I just wanna know if I in the same preset can send some of the effects of the preset through the fx loop and others through the line output to the amp at the same time using the HX Effects. Thanks Pedro
  21. is there any way i can separate two guitars one in the aux and one in the guitar input? Can i separate both guitars into different amps if i am running stereo ? like having aux input into left amp and guitar input into right

    AUX IN usage

Hello guys, I would like to buy Helix. but I have a question: I have a guitar and trumpet, if I put trumpet inside a auxin channel, is possible to apply all effect and presets? or these are only for guitar input? there are a switch guitar/aux? or they are both active? thanks
  23. Hey there Helix Forum! I am seriously considering swapping to the Helix, as opposed to my traditional pedal board. It has been weighing on my mind for months now. Cost wise, my pedal board upgrade will be equivalent to buying a Helix and 2x Alto's. Also i could sell my current pedal board and nearly have enough for the Helix. I have been doing some research into running FRFR speakers instead of through guitar amp, and I'm 99% sure that FRFR will be the way to go. My current amps include a HotRod Deluxe, Supro Saturn Reverb and a V40 Deluxe with cab. Most posts on what speakers to use reference either the ALTO 210 or ALTO 212. I will be looking to use them as one, or get two to run as stereo. My other question is what input is best from Helix to speaker? 1/4in????? Taking all recommendations. Also, any comments to sway my mind to swapping to Helix over traditional, I've probably heard it before, but push me over the edge! Im about 89.7% decided on Helix. Regards, Rory.
  24. I was recording on my Pod hd pro x yesterday on my guitar(as i have countless of time before). Suddenly today it stops working. The device turns on and I can hear sound from my computer, but it won't get any signal from my guitar. Not even the tuner. I checked my guitar and the wires. I have no idea what happened or changed. I would really appreciate some direction.
  25. Ok, so I love my amps. I own a vintage AC30, Marshall Valvestate and actually thinking about getting the Mesa Boogie TC-100. Currently, I am using a Firehawk. I am thinking of upgrading to the Helix. I play in a cover band with quite a number of people. Sometimes bigger venues, but mostly small stages. So I would be playing my amps in some cases (preferably WDW, 4/7/10 cable), but in most cases probably use FOH directly from the Helix. So here's my questions: Are the presets of the Helix much better quality than the Firehawk? Is there an easy way to create presets that would allow me to toggle between playing on my amps and FOH? (I dread creating the same presets in different banks and keeping them synched) How does WDW work when sending the signal FOH? I have both a normal mono output guitar ánd a guitar with stereo output. Is there a way to use three input signals? Or do I have to use a splitter before the input? Any guidance of experienced users or Line6 would be great.
