Hello!~Its my first post here, but ive been a first owner and user of the Pod x3 live since '09 Its been the tool that kept me around music since my early teen years, and ive been playing since then. However this machine appears to be dying, and its support/fixes are coming ever rarer and harder to find. I live in Mexico and bought my unit at a Guitar Center in San Diego and thanks to this amazing multi fx i ve been playing in various styles (Cumbia, Metal, Jazz, Alternative rock, progressive...) and projects with different setups at a variety of venues. I have to mention that i had it stored for a couple of years while i was attending higher education. I rarely ever play through and amp (my last amp a fender frontman 212r died a while ago). I am still to the day impressed by the ammount of solutions this tool provides... HOWEVER... Ive always had issues with the pedals not functioning properly, where they dont click. Then the unit started controling itself or going crazy all over the place with my settings and rendering it useless pretty much. I had a dude clean the unit and that gave it some kind of a second life to the piece... But its been a year now and the clicks for the pedals are functioning only when they feel like doing so. and now the Master Volume knob shoots all the way up from 1 STRAIGHT TO 10, making it extremely painful to even try to practice with headphones. I can rarely find any solution or official answer to this or other problems, and often times it requires replacements. Not everyone out there has spare 800-2000 dollars for a piece of gear that may replace what this powerful machine has done. What are our options here for the owners and users about our right to repair our units and carry on the huge sound of this machine? I know its a digital era piece of equipment, but i love it in the guitar world how other legendary pieces of equipment continue to recieve support to this day, such as tube amps, and other pieces that were mass-produced not so long ago are just... not viable? Is there some online resource or site that provides cover on documentation or schematics of this unit? Having this unit in this state is pulling me away from bandmates and any attempt at participating on any musical endeavor for god knows how long.

Hello guys, I have a hybrid setup with an HX Stomp acting as the core of it. The signal flows in this way: GTR ->Pedal Pawn Fuzz -> Crybaby->Vertex Effects Buffer Interface-> Hx stomp Input I have some ODs in the LEFT effect loop Right effect loop is used when I want to use a real amp with 4CM Left output goes to Amp return when using 4CM, L/R outputs go to FOH otherwise. I built the pedalboard to have the maximum flexibility in terms of routing. Now, when using the Stomp with amp sims I noticed a high pitched feedback/squeal (like a microphonic pickup type of squeal), the only fact is that I was playing with headphones so any microphonic pickup issue should be off the table, I also tried to switch guitars and to my surprise nothing changed. I went through the troubleshooting and I plugged the guitar directly intop the Stomp and I could go with the highest of the gains without problems, I also plugged into the PP Fuzz and the Wah bypassing the buffer interface and I came to the conclusion that the "problem" is the buffer interface. Do you have any explanation for that? That interface cost me a lot and I would not like to sell it or to put it off the board. Thank you in advance for the answers.

Does anyone else have the issue of glitchy unreliable footswitches on the Helix? I've had two units The first had 4 unreliable foot switches after a month of use at home.. And after 6 months or so the joystick failed totally so the store got me a new unit. That one now has 2 unreliable footswitches... problably more to come. I'm really taking good care of the unit, so I'm left to think there is a general quality issue with these footswitches. However Line6 Support tells me otherwise: Hi there, sorry for the trouble with your Helix. The defective switch needs to be replaced by our service center. Therefore please contact your Line 6 reseller from where you've purchased the unit - or alternatively you have the option to contact our Danish service center directly: Highend Skjulhöjalle 57 Vanløse, 2720 +4538711114 info@highendmusik.dk We haven't received many requests regarding footswitch failures and the repair should solve the issue. Nonetheless I will pass along this information to the product teams, so they can look into it. Best regards xxxxx Technical Support Line 6 Support Europe And I don't really want to pay for repairs of a lollipop quality component, in an otherwise nice product.. Am I really one of few having this issue?

Hey guys, my POD Farm 2 is constantly freezing after a few minutes of playing. I've tried it with the compatibiliy manager already, restarting the pc, checking out the licence monkey, i even installed it on another PC to see if the problem was my laptop, but it didn't change. I use Windows 10 Pro. The program just suddenly freezes, as well as the lights and signal of the device (I'm using the UX2) and sometimes the freeze comes with a scratchy or even high, distorted and loud noise. It's still possible to click around in the POD Farm - for example it also keeps working for a moment if i just change the input from "Mic" to "Instrument" for example. So it's not exactly the program freezing, but the function. I don't know. Does anyone have the same issue? I've tried to find answers here in the forum but couldn't find any. Please let me know if you have any guesses!! I really need that stuff to work out asap.. :/ Thank you!

So I recently got a Variax limited and have been using it for a few weeks now, today I go to plug it in and there’s nothing. So I check the battery and found that it wasn’t charged so I charged it, I come back and try it and still nothing. The magnetics work but the modelling doesn’t, I tried with a battery and 1/4 cable, I tried with a battery and a variax cable, and without a battery and a variax cable, still none of the modelling works, and the magnetics don’t work through the variax cable like usual, basically everything variax has stopped working. I’ve never had this happen and the instrument is still new, I don’t remember anything weird happening, as far as I remember I played it last night just fine with the modelling. What can I do to try and fix this and what can I do to try and diagnose the problem? thanks so much in advance! to note: workbench hd is also not recognising the guitar.

So, I bought a Vetta 1 combo today and it was working perfectly in the store. I brought I home and plugged it in and was presented with this (see image) the screen looks garbled and wonky. I took it back to the store because they have a 60 day warranty on used items and i won’t have it back for about 2 weeks. Does anybody know anything about this? I thought it had something to do with the internal battery but I just want to see if anyone here knows anything about this.

Hello, bought a brand new HX Stomp. It won't connect to my pc (Windows 7 x64). Problems found: - USB Audio Device has a driver problem. - HX Stomp doesn't have a driver. Are the driver available for download somewhere? None of the software provided, in the Downloads section of Line6's webpage, are able to "see" my HX Stomp.

So recently purchased my AT2035 and Line 6 UX2. While I have some knowledge of audio interfaces, I find myself a bit lost when it comes to my microphone's specific issue. I have found that the microphone levels are very low and even with a volume boost it sounds rather low quality. I have tested my mic with no presets and it sounds very quiet reaching only roughly around -25 db. I have also tested various presets and have found using the default studio vocal preset to be the best; a bit louder, but still very quiet. It may also be important to note that the Mic 1/L Gain is in this position: Below I have posted screenshots of my UX2 audio interface and have given a small audio sample. The first half of the audio file is with no pre-amps or effects added and the second half contains the default studio vocal preset. I still believe the mic to be too quiet and am at a loss as to what is causing this. Any help is greatly appreciated! Mic.mp3

Hello, Just wanted to communicate this issue to anyone else who may experience it. I started to feel slight electric shocks through my guitar strings and on the metal stomp buttons on my Pod HD500X. After doing some troubleshooting, I found that it was the USB port on my computer that somehow got bent and was causing the electric shock. When I switched the USB cable to another port on my computer, the shock went away completely. Before you take it in to get repaired, give this a shot and see if it works. EDIT: I have also been told by a guitar tech that incorrect grounding in your guitar can cause this problem. Try using another guitar with your pod to see if you experience the shock. If you do not, it is probably the guitar

I just started my 15 days trial today and I mostly like this software but seriously, why is the input meter so glitchy? Output meter too. Compared to my DAW's (REAPER) meters, Helix Native's meter sometimes simply "doesn't notice" I just played a note, and when it does, it's some random level. Also the little bar that marks the highest volume reached sometimes just doesn't appear. Honestly looks like a bug. It's just barely usable to set the input gain. Or is it just me? Running on Windows 10, VST3.

Line 6 monkey downloads driver but after it is installed, device is still blinking red lamps meaning it can't be used and it is not detected as valid output. When I starting monkey again it show that driver not installed. 5th time in a row it fakes installations, and shows driver is not installed. Every time drivers says that all ok continue, finish.

So I just bought a Pod HD500X and it has this problem that many people seem to be having with it. Often, it will reboot itself randomly over and over again until I unplug it or, occasionally, until I stop playing. I am using the provided power supply and not only have I tried other 500x power supplies but I went to guitar center and bought a new one and it's doing the same thing. Basically I haven't seen this problem resolved so I'm posting this hoping to figure out a solution for everybody who's struggling with these faulty Pods. Notes: I've rebooted myself, holding down the left arrow while plugging in power, to no avail. I've tried updating using Line 6 monkey, but it doesn't show up in the list of devices.

Hi. I found some issues in my Line 6 Spider 240HC amp that probably have other discussions opened, but i decided to record them. https://youtu.be/67unAeUulCA In the first one, the display flashes when it's turned off. https://youtu.be/477VH-TT4W8 That sound happens when i turn off the amp. That happens sometimes using different IEC cables. https://youtu.be/Fy6RwlY-xHk This problem started when i changed my IEC cable too. Sorry for the sound quality, there is a clicking sound when i activate the reverb. I though the it could be caused by the cable, but they are universal and i guess that it could be produced by digital issues. I really like this amp but it's difficult to play a gig calmed with that kind of problems. Is anyone having these problems? Sorry for my english.

Hi, I have an issue with my LT. I'm using is as interface on Windows 10. The problem I have is that sound is freezing for 1-2 seconds from time to time. It affects only the sound coming from PC (both audio playback or recording in Cubase). E.g. when I jam to backing track, music stops for 2 sec, but I can hear my guitar without interruption. It happened on 2.82, I have 2.91 and still it is an issue. Any ideas how to deal with it?

Hi, I am using the UX1 to plug my guitar in to my Mac (I'm on Catalina) to record using logic pro x. It lets me play/record for about 30 seconds and then basically just feeds back one never ending sounding horrible note (no its not my playing, classic lols). I have recently updated my line 6 software & mac, changed cables. All the usual things I can think of but nothing works. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it. Many thanks! Rich

Hello, This unit has always worked without any issue, but all of a sudden I connected it as usual and it didn't turn on. At the beginning I thought it was completely broken but because I was still hearing that click after turn it on, I tried connecting the USB to the computer and realized that it was working there as usual, and the effects too when connected to the amp. I've tried resetting and reinstalling the firmware but it's still the same. Have anyone experienced the same issue or something similar?

My Line 6 HD500X is not starting after I switch on the power. Line 6 Logo appears, stays for some seconds, the logo change to a big blue block and then fades away. Line 6 Logo appears again. This keeps happening in a loop. This happened while I was downloading tones from my laptop. How can I reset the HD500x?

I am a relatively new user to the Helix and I'm having an issue with latency when I'm switching between snapshots in a given bank. When I purchased the unit it had firmware 2.3 installed and I updated to the latest firmware version and everything went smoothly. I cannot say for sure but I felt like I wasn't getting a latency issue when switching between snapshots before the update and if I understand correctly I shouldn't be having that issue. Like I said, I'm not sure if the latency was existing before the update but it is definitely present now and it will make my music unplayable due to dynamics and what not. If anyone can give me some insight here that would be super appreciated, thank you.

Hi everyone, First time poster. I have read through the topics here on the forum but it seems like the topic has not been covered. Been using the helix floor for a year now. Great piece of gear! It is in my understanding that using snapshot is the way to go to change parameters with a patch without the ''sound gap'' you would get by switching presets. So I've been using snapshots for in-song changes, and presets for song-to-song (which seems to be common). Until now everything worked fine. I updated to 2.82 lately. I have a couple of presets based on the same ''rig''; the only thing that tends to stay the same would be the amp settings. Effects and snapshot changes. Last week I started to experience a ''sound gap'' (like the one you get when you change presets). Strangely, it seems to be related to when 2 presets are the same, within the setlist. I tried to build the preset from scratch instead of copying it, but as soon as I match the amp settings, I get that problem when I go through the snapshots. I don't know if someone encountered a similar problem, or even if I did explained it well, but if anymore encountered a similar issue, or have a fix... Thanks in advance for your help. English is not my primary language but I'll try to give more details if some of you have question Thank you, Cédric

Hello All - Writing to get some expertise on an issue I'm having with the 6 button looper on the Helix (LT if it matters)... The issue is simple, and I hope there's a simple answer but I can't for the life of me figure out what happened. When engaging the six button looper that has been assigned to one of the stomp switches the looper interface used to come onto the screen and show me which foot switches were assigned to effects/rec/stop ect. But this is no longer the case... NOW when I hit the looper the foot switches will light up - like they should, showing the looper is armed, and it does work - but the screen remains on the signal chain view, and I get confused... What did I do? How do I get the looper interface to come back onto the screen!?

Hi, I just bought an HX Stomp. Downloaded my first IR and was trying them out. Just for fun, I cleared them to try new ones and now I'm having problem transferring IR to my unit, even the same IR i was already using. My HX Stomp stays "blocked" saying Transferring Data... and my soft is also blocked. I tried changing USB Ports, not using a hub, any possible combination and it's driving me crazy. I even reset everything and still doesn't work. Could it be a faulty unit? Thanks in advance for your help
